    I'm sticking with my headcanon of "The Force is forgotten supertechnology in the form of a galaxy-spanning nanobot hivemind that the galaxy's current life can't fully interface with.", it makes too much sense. Some ancient race figured out reality and then left the galaxy to do other things, accidentally leaving their wifi on, which a bunch of random life then evolved bathed in.

      The theory certainly has merit; however, I doubt it's some lost ancient technology. Instead, I think it's more akin to the Precursor's Neural Physics, which is based on the idea that the Universe is alive. At some point, the Precursors an ancient, immortal species seemed to have discovered a way to manipulate it to such an extent that they had almost complete control over reality. It's possible that some other species came across something similar.
      However, as I mentioned, the technology route doesn’t seem viable. In the Legends material, the Force isn't restricted to just the Skyriver Galaxy; it spans the entire Universe and reaches into different dimensions and possibly other universes. There are old lore references to entities that could use the Force, which came from different dimensions and other galaxies, indicating that many species understood and could wield it. Additionally, Chaos, which is the Star Wars version of Hell, exists. Unless some ancient species somehow created an afterlife and managed to disseminate this technology throughout reality, the technology route seems unlikely.
      Returning to the Precursor concept, it could be possible that some species, like the Precursors, were among the first to come into existence. Much like the Precursors from Halo, they may have seeded the Universe with life, including the Skyriver Galaxy. They likely created the Force or utilized some pre-existing concept to develop the Force, various species, souls, and so on. In a way, you could argue that this was their form of technology or science.
      For those wondering why I don’t simply say that God exists in the Star Wars universe or something similar: while I may be religious, I prefer not to impose religious beliefs onto a fictional universe, as not many people appreciate that kind of discussion.
      Quick Edit: I am aware that The Celestials exist however we know next to nothing about them and the lore that we do have on them is very loose and lacking in many areas.

    Fun fact, the word used for the “serpent” in the book of genesis is “nachash” which is a onomatopoeia for both the sound of a snake, but also of glowing metal (particularly bronze) being extinguished. This is why the word also translates to “the shining one”. So this character is basically just Lucifer in SW.

      @Ken-gc5us The theology behind that always confused me as well, however like the guy above me said “Satan, or Hasatan” does literally mean adversary thus calling Lucifer Satan would still work as you could think of it as a synonym for “enemy” which Lucifer obviously is in the biblical narrative.

    • @ThorsDecree

      I would dispute that the _nakash_ in Genesis and the _shataan_ in Job were the same being. In Genesis, it's obviously a literal snake. "Cursed are you _among all beasts_ of the earth..."
      Part of that curse was that it would crawl on its belly and eat dust all the days of its life, but don't recall any stories about Satan crawling on his belly or eating dust 🤔
      At the time Genesis was written, the Hebrew mythology didn't even include a Satan character. That only happened after the Babylonian exile, they imported that along with some aspects of Marduk and his pantheon. The snake was a common symbol of trickery in ancient Middle-East cultures.
      The idea that the _nakash_ and the _shataan_ are the same being was a Christian post-hoc rationalization. According to the actual text of the story itself, it's just a talking snake.
      But yeah, I think there's a connection there. Just pointing out that the Christian connection Lucas probably based this on is textually extremely flimsy. Even when I was a Christian I never understood why Christians thought the snake was anything other than a snake. The book tells you it's a snake 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @LordAllomere
      @LordAllomere 17 дней назад +1

      I admit, my knowledge of the Abrahamic mythology is a bit... basic. But by my understanding of the story, Lucifer granted humanity free will, a sense of right and wrong. And for that, his father, Jehovah, punished Lucifer to be the ruler of Hell for believing he knew better than his father. For his pride. The first sinner.
      With that in mind, I believe Nakhash was correct to create the Dark Side. To create a true balance for the Force. The Dark Side can be used responsibly, just like any negative emotions (anger, fear, etc.), if you know how to moderate it, control it.

      @@LordAllomerewell he didn’t grant them the knowledge of good and evil rather, they could’ve easily eaten that fruit, but didn’t out of respect for jehovah, he instead allured them and influenced their decision to go against his fathers wishes as he once did, by taking from the fruit of the tree of good and evil. He thinks his decision is better than his fathers, but in doing so they traded immortality for death aka sin, and from caretakers with a paradise, oblivious to the world around them, to introducing suffering and pain and the knowledge of all to them. Question is would you want a eternal paradise if no worry and immortality with one you love, or introduce pain and suffering knowing you’ll die someday, but you have the autonomy to make your own decisions whatever that might be?.

    • @LordAllomere
      @LordAllomere 14 дней назад +2

      @@Gurd-f2zNormally, I don't care to discuss philosophy, but you clearly have a deep understanding of this subject. Personally, I never thought very highly of the idea of immortality. Not being able to age and die, just living on without fear of injury or disease, sounds like it would grow... tedious after a few centuries. And in regards to spending that time with loved ones, never having to live without your family or closest friends? While that is a charming idea, I must admit that feelings of grief and loss, while painful, are important to the human experience. Otherwise, it wouldn't quite feel as valuable spending time with them.
      Overall, I would rather live with painful memories and tragic experiences knowing that, in the end, I had a choice in how I lived my life instead of feeling like I lived the exact same life as everyone else in the world. With evils in the world, I feel that it makes the good in life all the more meaningful and significant.

    The Problem with Lucas vision of the Dark Side is: Destruction and Chaos are not evil. Destruction and Chaos are basicaly the ultimate expressions of Balance. Creation and Destruction are mandatory for each other. And Chaos is just Entropy. It's movement in the Universe. The constant change. Without Chaos there would be no evolution. Without Destruction, Creation and Life becomes unhealthy, like cancer. These are concepts so vital for and essential for all life and all material in existance. If the Dark Side of the Force represents all of this, it can't be "evil". Next thing is "evil" itself. The Evil can't exist without a moral code. But the universe don't knows about morality. There is no evil in collapsing Stars, destroying everything coming close. There is no evil in a storm. The Evil can only exist in ambitions of an ego clashing with morality and expectations of a society. And even then it's debatable. Many things our societies considered to be evil hundreds of years ago, are normal today. It's the feedback what declares it evil. And beside this typical christian views implemented in this interpretation of the Force, the Sith Purebloods already proved, this to be wrong. In my oppinion the Father of Shadow is just another christian element, not caring for any substantial philosophy.
    But the Video was good, as always.

    The Star Wars Cosmology is very interesting at times...
    Wish the Mortis Arc went deeper into it:
    Neither Legends or Canon really explains the hierarchy all that much. We also gotta see what the Chosen One Prophecy truly consists of. Sure we understand the basics but, what did it explicity say, and how can we connect the dots between the acts spoken of the Chosen One's future, and the events that took place surrounding Anakin that match it.

    • @KaunPrime

      If I remember right, the Celestials were the primary beings that shaped the galaxy, but there was a species before them that created the force and everything itself, but theyve long abandoned the galaxy that Star Wars takes place in, or somehow died. The Celestials shaped the force and galaxy as its known, but they were still semi-mortal, being killable in specific ways. Eventually the last of the known Celestials, are the Father, Son, and Daughter. And as the last of such powerful force commanders, not users in my opinion to show just how important they were to it, their personalities bent the living force of the entire galaxy. Thus if either Son or Daughter held power over the other, the force became imbalanced galactically.
      The Chosen One prophecy was based off a vision of a force user born from the force itself being designed by the Cosmic Force itself to affect the Living Force and restore balance of the Light and Dark aspects of the Force when it reached a tipping point of no return. Though, the Chosen One themself is unknown if it was meant to be that Force User born of the Force, or if it referred to another, (Luke) who came from the prior one, or if it was simply whoever tipped said born of The Force individual towards balance. Meaning, is it Anakin who is the Chosen one for being made by the Force and acting as a shaper of it like the Celestials themselves were, or was it Luke who tipped Anakin back to balance after he fell so far to the Dark, and thus tipped the Living and Cosmic Forces towards balance again.

    • @ignisinfernal1843

      @@KaunPrime The Chosen One is meant to restore balance by destroying the Sith. It has nothing to do with balancing light and dark. Lucas was consistent with that. Lucas also was consistent that Anakin is the Chosen One and not Luke.

    Always funny that rebellion is a cautionary tale. always ready to tell you that the way things are are how they should be be content with what you are given because that is what is good.

    Honestly, it doesn't sound all that incompatible to me. After all, the Dark Side of the Force, as it is now, is not just an expression of passion and the more painful emotions. Nor merely power. It is a corruption that twists the mind and body. And whose who dive deep seek control of even the Force itself. It could explain not the Dark Side, but the corruption within the Dark Side. The very thing that names the Sith, when they become its true expression.

    This is really interesting. I agree this is Lucifer. He couldn't accept humans,then rebellion started. So Nachash doesn't has body anymore or consciousness. He's something else. Lucifer is singular enemy. No doubt. I like George's vision too. May the Force be with you too😊

  • @ATalesTruth-
    @ATalesTruth- 19 дней назад +28

    This is basically morgoth
    Also yes go into the supreme maker
    Also I’m pretty sure the supreme maker said even though Nakash introduced darkness
    The supreme maker said this perfected the force, as in the supreme maker knew Nakash would make it
    And that it didn’t ruin the force but make it more complete
    Light and dark
    So in a way the creator gets the last laugh
    As balance of light and dark is still a thing
    But balance equates to good
    Imbalance equates to evil

    It would be appropriate to say, people could still absorb, and transmute the evil in the dark side, basically the more Grey Jedi rise, the more pure the father of shadows would become.

    "Nekash, second only to the Supreme maker. However, his rebellion against the maker and his divine plan led to his fall." Right. So... it's just Lucifer and his fall after rebelling against God and his plan.

  • @Lord_Insectious
    @Lord_Insectious 19 дней назад +3

    Could Darth Nihilus have accidentally sung his broken song into the force to become a force wound? Given how the story of Nekhash goes if one sings their song incorrectly into the force can harm the individual unimaginably so, plus Nihilus wouldn't have been powerful enough to do it properly/intentionally to begin with

    When it comes to Supernatural Encounters, its draft-ideas was confirmed to proceed, but then the Final Product didn't get confirmation and was published anyway.
    This puts it in an ambiguous canonicity that I call a "Quasi-Canon."
    It's not canon, yet not fully non-canon either.
    But rather, it's in a Limbo state, where the general outline/idea seems canon, but the details are non-canon.
    I suspect this probably had to do with Gearge Lucas's shift in ideology on the dark-side (Given Nakash lore really does line up with his original ideology before it changed).
    Aswell as the surrounding actually canon lore inspiration (Such as the Celestials).

    Honestly, much prefer the idea that the force is just the force. Power is as evil as what we do(or don't do) with it.
    PS: I do love that StarWars sometimes gets some weirder fantasy entities showing up from time to time. Instead of just the force and lasers.

    Well, if this is true, that would explain why sith who use the dark side end up looking to jacked up. Unlike the Jedi, whose relationship with the force is symbiotic, the sith's is parasitic. They get immense power from it, sure, but it sucks the life out of them to do so

    10:00 That's just straight-up not true. Some parts of the EU may imply this, Lucas himself has never changed the how the Force works. There is no light side. The films and Lucas never uses that term. There's only the Force and the dark side, which is an imbalance created by making the Force follow your own will instead of following its will.
