I just built a pair of RV-10 tanks. The stand is definitely too low for drilling and riveting. I just shoved some towels under the leading edge to lift it up enough to drive the rivets. I also found the extra center baffle rivet hole. I skipped the snap bushing on the vent clip. All you need is a blob of sealant on there to hold the vent line from rubbing. I came across all of the same typos in the plans.
One of your best videos! The pace and info/commentary was great. I understand that In the Beginning (tail cone)... the plans go in sort of a "training wheel" building sorta fashion, and then they get removed, as it were, going forward with the other kits. What you point out doesn't sound like that approach. I'm guessing that the '426 - and not '420 rivets in those applications was the clue?
My hope is that @FlyVansAircraft will have these typos corrected by the time I get around to ordering my other kits. I know Greg as been doing a great job guiding the ship through the turbulence of the past couple of years.
Wow I can't believe how many simple typos and misordered instructions exist given the age and build frequency of this aircraft. Drawings show revision #1 with dates 2014, which seems to indicate the drawing has never been revised in the last 7 years. The drawing was obviously updated from earlier RV-10's, but still this seems an oversight which Vans should be fixing given feedback from the builder community.
Amazing ❤

Thank you for highlighting the parts and sections you were talking about. Having that visual cue really helped to follow along!
Glad it helped 😊
Thank you for the video! I created a link to it on the RV10 wiki for section 18.
Which wiki is this? I'd love to check it out.
I’m curious about your thought process concerning going back to the stock cowl instead of the ShowPlanes cowl, Christine.

Thank you for the compliment 😊
