This episode in particular was triggering BUT necessary. I was almost raped my senior year in high school by a guy AT the school. Luckily, he let me go, but I broke down so bad the next class that I ended up filing a report on him immediately afterwards. I was sent home later & one of my best friends called me to let me know that ALL of the guys in my grade were FURIOUS about the situation; especially L’Damian (Dang Dang). Our relationship was a mirrored image of Freddie’s & Dwayne’s (although we never dated one another). 💕 My friend told me that he was so upset and furious about what happened to me that he was actually crying ... til this day, I think about Dang Dang & how he looked out for me. I had a friend like Dwayne ... I’m so emotional right now. 🌸🥰😭

I am sure you would laugh about this considering your story may not be true. I don’t want to be rude, but out of all the people in the world, why would this student single you out to to rape in a school full of adults and likely school police? Was this merely a guy who you were interested in and he didn’t reciprocate feelings? Did you do something with him voluntarily and he didn’t give you the relationship you desired? Did you have a reputation for being intimate with many other students and went to far with your flirting? It seems that you are looking to relate the character on the show, and I am sure this mythical “Dang Dang” doesn’t exist. If this really happened, no one would cry over a promiscuity induced assault. Furthermore, I don’t believe anyone would want to rape you, again not to be rude, but it doesn’t make sense.

A lot of people must have thought what happened to Freddie in this episode was her fault. I think they're wrong. I bet Freddie takes full responsibility for her actions in this episode and she now knows that some of the things she did in this episode weren't very smart but whatever Freddie did in this episode, she didn't ask to be raped. Like in the episode, Love Taps where Gina was battered, we might say she wasn't very smart but we wouldn't say she deserved it. We wouldn't say Gina's batterer in that episode was innocent because of what Gina did in that episode. No one deserves to be raped. No matter what the circumstance, if a woman says no and a man forces her to have intercourse, whether that force is physical or emotional, that's rape. That's the law. A woman is raped on a college campus every 21 hours. 90% of all college rapes go unreported. Only 1 out of 100 of these rapists is prosecuted I'm sure it wasn't easy for Freddie to talk about what happened to her in this episode. It wasn't easy for her to say she was raped in this episode. Freddie came forward with her story in this episode to encourage other women to come forward with theirs. Date rape has been a crime of silence for too long.

Not trying to make lite of it, but NO really means NO! I taught that to my sons. If a girl says no then you stop! If she's starts making moves like she want to continual on that level, then you leave! My sons need to protect the woman and themselves!
I told them If a situation happened when the girl said no and they didn't stop. Their best case scenario is them getting arrested. Because if i get my hands on them, I'm going to be arrested!
I had a few nights when I was running the streets, the woman said no, so I rolled over in went to sleep. The next morning she didn't understand why? I told her I don't play those games. No means No, and never going to jeopardize my freedom.
