  • Teen Titans Starfire's Dark Origin Story...Analyzing Her Toxic Relationship With Her Sister Blackfire...
Starfire had one of the more disturbing back stories out of any of her fellow Titans. And to think that they delved into this storyline in a children’s cartoon, is almost mind-blowing. But I guess that’s why Teen Titans is one of the best Cartoon Network series of ALL TIME. Teen Titans is a show that was full of toxic relationships. But none of them take the cake like Star’s relationship with her sister Blackfire. Looking back at it as an adult, their whole family situation seems brutal and frankly, hits differently.

honestly, Starfire and Blackfire would've been such a good team if the Gordanians never interfered
and despite all the awful things that happened to Star, I kinda feel bad for Blackfire aswell. She had to sell her sister to a rival alien race to stop a war and accidentally killed her parents in the process... most of her "evilness" probably comes from being born into a war and never having the chance to leave like Star did, it's all just acts of defense.

I thought there was some other source i read where blackfire chose to use startfire as an outlet to lash out her emotions on. Was it possible too (even though it wasnt stated in the video nor in the series) again a possibility that blackfire was treated badly due to the deal that she looked nothing like her family nor anyone else on the planet? While it could be possible that she was treated badly since she was the only one there who had black eyes, black hair, and when seeing her activate you see purple instead of green...like starfire and wlidfire. Again im only asking since all the others including starfire had Red hair, Green eyes, when seeing powers activate it was green. Was there somewhere along the lines of the home planet they treated blackfire as an outcast just based off of how she looked? I will still say it doesnt excuse her from her actions at all. If this was something then she couldve found a way to reach out to her sister than of using her as a physical and emotional punching bag as she pleased.

I'm glad you're doing an in depth dive into the teen titans and references to the go comic are being used, I think u should continue with these, I saw u had done Raven and Terra too, still I think u should do videos for the titans ( beast boy, cyborg and maybe a video of the titan the cartoon or go comic never covers in detail -being Jericho and how his sister was seen in the go comic)

I never really liked blackfire it was bad enough she sold her sister to the gordanians in the first place which ironically led to the formation of the teen Titans and I was patient during her visit to Earth where she tried to frame Starfire but what really crossed the line with me was trying to force her sister into an arranged marriage under the lie that it's to prevent a war and I'm pretty sure blackfire was aware of her feelings for Robin and the fact that she tried doing this after her parents died of grief it seemed like blackfire doesn't care about anyone but herself it wasn't even explained in the show why she hated Starfire so much but in the comics of the older teen Titans it was because she was passed over as ruler I don't know what their parents could have been like to cause blackfire to act this way but I still find her actions inexcusable which is why I was pleased when the comic involving wildfire showed her disowning blackfire although she did look genuinely sad about it maybe one day blackfire will get a redemption too bad the shows canceled though since Starfire is the only Titan to not get her own arc

I used to get the Teen Titans Go comics in the mail when I was a kid and I have the one that mentions Wildfire. Starfire actually reunites with him for a day but then it’s revealed that he was Madame Rouge in disguise. Blackfire teamed up with her and provided a description of what Wildfire might currently look like so she could sneak into the tower and destroy the titans.

1:05. I fail to understand why you would be taken aback from Starfire getting married and never coming back. We all know she wouldn’t leave the team because something will happen at the end of the episode where she would remain on earth. It’s not something to be taken aback about.
