"We're gonna need a bigger jetski..." How crazy is this bad boy! Anyone else got a shark tale to share?
Bondi Nation Was swimming with my dad and little sister on a sand bar out in the Gulf of Mexico, and my father, who thankfully, saw it, told us to swim back to shore and when we got there he told us there was about an 8 foot bull shark not too far from us😳
uhm i met a whaleSHARK 😂😆 but i would be thankful not to meet any kind of known man eating SHARK
I went to SeaWorld and saw a shark 😂
My family and I were on a sandbar and a shark came and almost bit a lady that was next to my brother

The second I saw the title, shark alarm sounds started in my head XD
Lol same
Can't put the shark alarm on unless it's around Bondi shark net. Then they can put it on.

That's actually a beeping sound throughout the video, not your schizophrenia playing up.
I used to dive with my uncle and brother near the Farallon islands for abalone. When I was 13 my uncle got hit by a 17ft great white. It did a lot of damage but he survived. We used to see them a lot and never had any fear or problems with them until that day. I got to ride in the Coast Guard chopper. They had me keep him awake and talking. 4 years later I joined the Coast Guard because I wanted to be like those guys who helped my uncle. Unfortunately because of my shooting skills they took me out of the search and rescue program and I ended up being shore patrol which sucked! I never went diving again after his attack and neither did he but my brother still does it to this day. I have a lot of respect for sharks of all kinds and no desire to ever be in the water with one again. I can still see the wounds in my uncles hip from one launch into him. It never came back to finish him, and to this day I believe it is because he had just jumped in and was wearing a black wetsuit and looked like a seal. He was a big guy who drank whiskey and smoked cigars and I doubt he tasted very good. Those wounds were massive and we had to use the wench to get him in the boat. I had taken several first aid classes and was a lifeguard at our local pool. I packed the wounds with every towel on the boat and used several straps to tie them down. It took us 15 minutes to get to shore and the chopper was landing as we came in hot to the beach. If we hadn’t had the big boat that day I am sure he would have bled out. They small boat didn’t have a radio like his big boat did. We used to spend as much as 5 days out in that boat. Funny part is this happened the summer Jaws came out and I still wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat from nightmares, not from the attack but from that stupid movie!
Wow, heck of a narrative! Great story telling /writing skills. I'm blown away your folks let you dive for abalone. I hear that is crazy dangerous, with high mortality rates. Excuse me that I cracked up that the shark went for the largest of you three, the fattened seal. Sounds like this experience really shaped your life. I'm glad he lived. Peace.
good story... but jaws was a fun movie
I believe they included that attack in 2 books published in the late 70s, with info from the International Shark Attack Files, after Jaws was released and interest in sharks was high.
I bought both paperbacks and this sounds familiar.
Along with another abalone diver who was attacked and his whole upper torso was inside the sharks mouth, he did survive but with extensive wounds.
It looks quite harmless and actually quite relaxing watching it swim about from above...compared to looking at it in the water
Bondi Beach is so Quick to react to things like sharks. You people are great at your jobs.
Stay safe guys
This isn't at Bondi, this is Tamarama which is nearby
If a coastal Australian is impressed by a shark, it’s a big shark
It's no bigger than the jet ski
That great white is massive I would be scared to death
100% of those surveyed agree.
Just got done watching soul surfer but I guess the sharks weren’t done with me today 😂🤣
Vanna_9 WTH 😂 I actually have swam with sharks before and I wasn’t hurt. They can be really cute!

4,5 metres!!!!!!! I'd be freaking terrified!!! Omg, beautifull beast, tho😍❤
I love how everytime they are saying to someone there's a great big great white out there.. They slowly start making it bigger.. 4meters to 5meters then 4.5 meters. 😂
That's a twenty footer.
Twenty five... three tons on um.
Wow, that drone has just prevented people from potentially being victims of a white shark attack. Amazing.
Not in a million years would i go into this water.
mixolydian mode I do all the time, it’s great
It’s not that bad. Sharks don’t actually want to kill you. More people die to vending machines then sharks most years.
Same only my own pool
I swam here .
@@cone5757 20 people died from vending machines in australia last year?
The poor thing just wanted seal so he wouldn't starve and he was called a monster :c
He was called a monster because hes 18 feet
Shark Lives Matter
Maybe the seal led him to the surfers as an alternative treat and then legged it. Or flippered it.
When I saw the lady trying to swim away my heart just sank.
When an Aussie says something is big. Believe it.
In case anyone is wondering, 4 meters is about 13 feet and 5 is about 16.
You guys are life savers. Drones have taken swimmers and surfers off the Great White menu. Well done!
*we’re gonna need a bigger surfboard*
That's outstanding bravery to ride a Jetski TOWARDS a shark that looks as big as the Jetski or maybe bigger!
Shark: Where the freak is the seal?!!!
so beautiful! I wish you would’ve gotten an underwater view but that’s easier said than done
You guys should have a screen to put this footage on live, it's scary but amazing people need to respect the beast
That’s why he moving slow as if he’s going in for the kill🤣🤣
Beautiful Animal Nature At Its Finest
i wonder if this was the same shark that attacked the swimmer at little bay not long ago exactly where that guy was warned not to swim was the exact same place the other man was attacked of the rocks
This exactly what I thought but after I double check, the shark attacked to Simon Nellist happened in Malabar beach not Tamarama
Sharks can swim
well done you guys ...this ""drone warning"" by the spotter are still going to save many lives .... perhaps have beach contact with a hellova loud speaker and a red light bottom of the drone over where exactly the shark is :-)
BEAUTIFUL! Wow!
Massive. Majestic.
Gotta love drones .. I’m taking mine to the beach this weekend to save the day 💪👍👌🇦🇺
Woww! Awesome! Huge and Beautiful!! I love that the water is so clear and blue you can see him so easily.
We have the cleanest water ways in the world, except for my local river, i wouldn't stick my little toe in it lol
The water is so clear and gorgeous!
Yea and its warm plus nice big waves. Too bad about sharks but hey its their home
That water is beautiful though!
We are so lucky in Australia to have pristine waters
Was anyone else waiting for the "Jaws" theme song to start playing??
Great footage! :o) Thanks for sharing.
Me @4:00 am ok I have to go asleep

How are bondi beach life guards so brave to go near a great white shark
I agree but it's great not grate
And white, not wite
And brave, not strong
And I have nothing to contribute
Life guards not guards
Stealth mode.. wow! They are such perfectly evolved ambush predators
Stunning ocean 🌊
"big unit itll take that fuckin jetski down" 10/10 laughs from that one liner
What a beautiful animal 💜
Been watching these Bondi videos too much im getting nightmares and anxiety attacks (mostly because of the thoughts of scary waves, ocean creatures and drowning), but it's impossible to stop watching, they are so interesting and entertaining.
Big Shark... Still looks like a Tadpole against mass of Ocean... Awesome Nature.
My husband was a helicopter pilot in the marine corps and when we were stationed in Hawaii, he would constantly fly over huge sharks that were swimming right next to snorkelers. They never knew the sharks were there. Mostly huge tigers but sometimes hammerheads.
I used to swim and body surf all over Kauai in the 80's as a teenager. We'd spend the summers there cause my dad was building condos...and we could. Me and my brother couldn't wait to get in the water everyday. We learned how to ride the rip out past the breakers. One of my Dads foremen who was local native taught us to do it. What he didn't teach us is that where the rip brings you up past the breakers is exactly where all the big monsters are lurking and waiting for their meal to come to them. We ran right into a big hammerhead.. probably 14 ft. Seriously we were face to face with it. It did a little waggle and shot around us and disappeared in the dark water. We never snorkeled again. Only fished from a boat. A big, safe boat 😂
@@jimig399 iMG that’s the best story EVER!
@@MermaidTreasureHunter 😂🙋 semper fidelis and hoorah. I come from military aviation. Going way, way back. I'm not an aviator myself. My grandpa was. My uncle. My Dad. I was an airman but my job was to tell those pilots where to do their business on the ground if you know what I mean. Although there's no accounting for those vertical take off pilots. They know their business. My Uncle R.L was AirCav. CMH recipient for his tours of Vietnam. Only man I ever seen sleep in the saddle on a 15 mile horseback to hunt. Snoring the entire way. Permanently cool as a cucumber. They're a special breed for sure. I bet your husband is an extraordinary man ma'am. Tell him I appreciate his rotation... and yours. Happy trails. 🙋🤠

Even scarier to think that shark took the same route the guys take in the lifeguard challenge board paddle.

this is the kind of content i joined this platform for
its winter almost the salmon bonito and everything wil be out this year on mass so sharks will follow
I kelt cringing thinking of how deep the ocean is. Thalasaphobia for ya. i think thats what its called
Why does depth bother you?
@@freetorylanez Often with phobias people sometimes don’t consciously know why something bothers them; such as depth. I love swimming, but in the ocean if it’s dark & not clear (like here in Scotland) that freaks me out 🤷♀️
Don't know why but I just find the aussie accent so calming and could listen to it for hours 😂😂😂 a bit like my best TV personality growing up as a child Steve irwin 💖 aussie's are awesome.
Wow! A SHARK! Never would have guessed they are in the ocean. LMAO. Nice footage though. thumbs up!

quite a relaxed shark. Having a nice swim.
BEAUTIFUL FOOTAGE. SHARK IS JUST CRUISING AROUND.
I grew up surfing all through there and we never saw a great white let alone one that size, what is happening ? maybe they were there but we never knew as drones didnt exist or jet skis
A dangerous beauty, nature is!!
This is gnarley!!!!
What a beautiful creature!
This culd well be the buchan point Great White Shark at Little bay that took Simon Nellist. The Buchan lpoint shark was 5 meters i measurrd it off the video using an instrument against a seagulls body side on streched out flying just above it as my known prespective comparison of 1ft.
The shark i was able to measure from Tal fin to rear dorsal fin at 8ft making that shark 16ft or 5 meters.
The tail was slightly curled so measuring may be slightly under within 1 ft.
this was the first thing came in mind too, may be this could be the one that took Simon's life.
You would think so hey
Plenty of whites around that size cruise around Sydney
Now i know why i only go to the beach less than 3 Times a year
When was this taken? Like do you upload on the day or ???
I need more hours of this!!
Wait, is bondi nation partners with bondi rescue???
Maybe!
where are these guys themselves with the voices? lol.
Probably on the toilet shitting themselves.
Cool to watch! Different kind of respect!
its amazing how clear the water is. here it is very rare that there is much more than a meter of visibility, and often much less.
That is a bit sad. That degree of visibility i would say is pretty normal for most beaches I've been to in Australia
which lifeguard was it out on the ski?
Yea. That's what I wanna know. But whichever lifeguard it is, they've got some bravery in them.
Probably not Kerrbox😂
And probably also not click
The one that Drew the short straw
What exactly is the purpose of the jet ski going out there?
To scare the shark away from the beach
Wow that’s crazy!
Great work guys
its so hard to figure out how far away the drone is from the water
keira saul probably pretty far away because they say it’s around 4 meters (13ft)
One time when me and my 10 brothers were snorkeling we came close to a great white shark that thing was massive my brother is legit SO scared of sharks to be honest I’m more scared of spiders
Wow that must have been dramatic 😳😳also u have 10 brothers???!!!
