Hey Marce, this is my first time ever watching your podcast. I have to say that as someone new to knitting, I learned so much about different types of wool and what they can be used for. I was starting to get worried that this new venture might take over my life. But thanks for the encouragement to try to be intentional but not get too stuck on it. I feel like a whole new world opened up for me getting into knitting and honestly it was so intimidating. But having people like you, Jess, and Denise makes it feel more manageable. So thank you so much!! I can't wait to see your future podcasts, but until then, I'm about ti binge your old ones. 😂 I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, thanks again. And thanks for the tea tip 😅, the ones yall were drinking sounded lovely. I can't wait to try them.

Hello Marce and Jess! This was such a lovely episode! So great to see you again. I was spinning, and then knitting, along with you both. I didn’t realize Jess’s mill was located on the west coast (where I am); it’s something I will be checking out. I love your Boneyard Shawl - the colors are beautiful, and ones I tend to gravitate to when I’m looking at fibers for spinning. I have knit at least two shawls using that pattern. Also, I really appreciate the themes of collaboration and intentionality throughout this episode. Intentionality in my making is a practice I have developed over the last couple of years. The reveal of the slipcover was amazingly beautiful. I’m down for the giveaway! Thank you!

Soo lovely to see you again and listen to that warm friendly voice! I like that "we dye like we cook" as that is exactly me, but I am bad at keeping a dye diary so I can repeat a colour hmmm, work in progress lol I am more a sewist than a knitter but this last winter knitted 3 jerseys in between my sewing as I felt I needed to work through my stash and ripped an older jersey I do not wear because the pattern is very unflattering for me and then re-knitted it into a jersey I love! The one jersey was a top-down, no seams one and I loved it as it was my first top-down. As for fabric, well, I see something I think will make something nice...later so am also working through my fabric stash as well. I am turning more towards natural fibres I want to natural dye so that is a new adventure. If I see linen or raw cotton etc on sale, I just buy at least 5-10 m , wash and scour and keep ready for dyeing. I love bamboo needles. What I love about dye is it gives and old garment new life. My daughter pinched some of my youth jerseys and one was a mix of cotton and silk a natural pale off white. So she asked me if I would be ok if she dyed it and I said of course and she dyed it a purple colour and it is gorgeous as the silk and cotton picked up the dye differently and it is a totally new jersey, it does not look it's age, over 40 years old!!

Hi Marce and Jess. Happy belated birthday Marce, I suspect that you had an awesome time and thank you so much for sharing.
I love playing with wool. I have recently been learning to spin but not with much luck so far. I am going to keep trying though. I bought some hand spun from an Instagram friend. I am wanting to make an inclinations shawl by the designer Andrea Mowry. I will use one skein of handspun with a skein of Malabrigo Arroyo.
At the moment I am knitting a Classic cardigan by tin can knits for my local hospital. My eldest daughter was born six weeks premature and I was gifted hand knit items from them. I want to pay it back and pay it forward too. I really enjoyed hearing about your natural dyeing and your wonderful projects.
I have plans to try dyeing some DK yarn with Avocado pits. Any tips?

Hi Marce. Dawn is such an amazing designer. I've knitted her Cottage Hat for my bestie and knitted myself some socks (the pattern name escaping me right now). Her Siki shawl is high on my "to make" list. Anyway, Chiaogoo interchangeables or fixed for sock knitting are my faves. When switching to DPNs for the gusset, it's Addi aluminium as they're very light weight. Hi again. Update. Watching this video is more than prize enough songood luck to everyone else x
