@Lily Nguyen nah water and hygiene products, especially if ur having job interviews and stuff, u gotta look and smell good for the interview, no matter if youre homeless or not
Toiletries help with you being able to blend in. If you want to relax in a bookshop, I don’t want to be filthy n stink and alert security. It’d drive you nuts smelling of poo. I can’t afford toothache or toe rot. If u seem clean, you can interact with people easier. No excuse for being dirty out there. I spent a lot of evenings n weekends handing out self-bought toiletries, undies n so on to London homeless. I bumped into others doing the same. They told me they get given the stuff free anyway so I should save my money.
There is a short docu about a man who is a destitute for about 8 years and to be honest he doesnt look like a destitute.

This puts everybody's "I try living on £1 for 24 hours" videos to shame. Not only is this incredibly clever, but it's actually something I imagine being incredibly useful for a LOT of people. London is one of the wealthiest (and often greediest, consumerist, and selfish) cities in the world, and yet homelessness and poverty is despicably rife. Everybody needs to see this video.

Your £1 a day Hack caught my eye and now this. It just goes to show how resourceful we can be IF we really wanted to be and you are promoting all the hidden gems also displaying that there are some small percentage out there who are still willing to help, when all you need to do is just ask. You have pointed out a few apps and sites I have never heard of and now want to use, we need more people like you who want to share and show how it can be done. Even though this is in London and there is a stigma about people are rude or to busy to talk, you have shown this is not the case in some parts. I wondered if you did it elsewhere would have the same luck with these challenges. Thanks
