according to my grandmother, not only were there special butter splat plates, but there were a special butter knife that you get your butter place it on the butter plate then use your own butter knife to spread the butter on your toast or roll. You do not use the butter knifee off the butter dish.

Did you find out anything on the green vase with the pink flower? It is beautiful! My mom has a similar style vase in pink that belonged to my grandmother. I prefer the green one though 😂

That was a hot pad for the kitchen. When you place something hot on it it will give off a nice scent.
