Us OG viewers remember when you found "George", back in your early RUclips days. You were so nice to give him a welcoming home for a while.
@@marieecaswell4209I do miss her koala sweater🙂 I wonder what happend to George.
Jocelyn, you are such an amazing person. I think if someone else had found the remains, they would have been disrespectful and judgemental! But you didn’t make a big deal and gave it to the people in back without a big fuss. I was always taught as a nurse to be respectful of these things. I’m so glad you are you! ❤️
I remember trying to get the top off a ceramic after I got it home from a flea market, and seeing ashes inside when it came off. I screamed, " I bought somebody!"
this made me actually laugh out loud. “I bought somebody!” I can only imagine!
The "giant artichoke" is a Game of Thrones dragon egg. I've sold those for good money.
The box with the cigar smoking guy would have made a great art piece for a cigar store or bar. Just take the top off and hang it on the wall.
It's amazing how far you have come with Crszy Lamp Lady. You're a mover and a shaker. Someone who knows how to get things done.
The Boyd’s Bear name Nicholas is actually the official name by Boyd’s. He’s adorable! Happy Holidays and love your work!
Happens more than you think. This last summer I "returned" a gentleman to his family that had sat there for months @ GW; to which it had been donated by the local cops having been sitting at their place for months. Having fallen out of the back of a pick-up. A friend who works there says they tell corporate but most of the time nothing gets done. This box was ornate with a name. It took me 2 days to find his next of kin 😢
Love the background song, On the Dark side..
Yup I found some in a beautiful brass urn while thrifting in Maine. I almost bought them just to give a proper resting spot but I wasn't sure I could get them across the border back to Canada. It was engraved and it was loved at some point. Hope someone else had the same sentiment for a final rest spot.
I'm pretty sure the "hanging" clear globe at 17:08 is a rooting "planter." You fill it with water and put pieces of plants in it to make starts and root.
You know, it could be someone who really enjoyed thrifting and asked to be spread throughout their favorite stores. If you spin it that way, it doesn't seem so sad that they were donated. Either way, I hope they find a good home and eventually rest in peace.
It was very small for a person. Maybe they were split up between relatives. Or maybe it was someone’s small pet.
You are a special lady for returning the remains.
I found cremated remains at the thrift store in a sealed polished wood box! I knew exactly what it was!! I informed management immediately!!
Boyd's Bears often "name" their bears, so the name on the tag (Nicholas) is the name of the bear, not who it was given to. I have a couple of Boyd's, including Nicholas.
Suggested video over there ---------> "DEAD BODY FOUND INSIDE STORAGE UNIT." Perhaps there's a trend...
i like the koala bear painting
😅 that willow tree angel cracked me up
I'm an Aussie, and that Koala painting is fabulous.. I would have absolutely bought it.
I liked the glass canisters you found. 😊
That beautiful pottery platter could be signed under the felt pads, I think they were added at a later date. It is really beautiful.
So happy your back doing goodwill videos!!
I love watching your videos. You are a very interesting and genuinely nice person!
The cremains were possibly a small pet. Some families get small amounts of family member cremains put into smaller vessels but not as often as youd think. Total cremains are really heavy, I was shocked when I got my moms cremains, I didnt think it would weigh as much as it did. Its expensive to have a pet cremated so that must have been a favorite...possibly a bird.
The little cat has a chip on its ear !love the planter 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Love the heavy tray!
Thank you for the video, hope you are feeling better. Really loved the planter that you bought, I’ve been searching in charity shops in UK for one like this for a gift 🤣 no luck!
I wish there was a speaking button here so I could pronance Marjolein Bastin for you! She is very well known in Holland!
The little urn you found was a tiny portion of a whole person. The ashes inside were put there for someone who hopefully wanted them. People are just strange sometimes. Who knows why/how the urn ended up at Goodwill 😢 Maybe cleaning up an estate, not knowing ashes were inside. Just makes me sad.
Brass is really popular right now, I love to try to find some when I shop my local Goodwill!
Thin clear thing near end is hanging air plant holder
I saw a Delft plate in one of those new carts! When you pulled out the big planter.
Fun shopping with you!California
Cool finds love that two headed figure
What great finds. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
I loved that blue planter on that cart !!!
I love love love that blue planter. Looks like Bitossi lol. 😊❤
How can this happen? Especially if it’s was someone’s baby. People never cease to amaze me. Hopefully this wasn’t intentional. God bless them.
Hi Jocelyn! fun video❤ The rimini blue Bitossi style huge planter at 5:16 to the left of the screen I believe is a great piece. I once sold that exact one for a little over $100. If you do planters that big, maybe a good one ♥️ I loved the koala art. It was so beautifully done 🎉
I noticed it, too! Beautiful planter!
@@LindaKayHolevas ♥️♥️ it is! love that electric blue
As always love your videos. Camara was up close in this video. 😊
i bought an urn from goodwill once. When i got it home i began to pull the lid off it, and i said to my daughter 'imagine if this had someone's ashes in it' low and behold the ashes came out all over me! most horrific moment of my life! every time i see an urn now it makes me shudder!
on the 2nd fresh cart there was a african violet planter, not the most colorful, but great for succulents!
It made me so happy to see you pick up the blue willow, I shout at you every time you walk by it. 😂I collect it to have in my Summer home ❤
Me too. I collect it.
That’s quite a headline! Now I have to watch! 😂
Thank you Jocelyn for correcting yourself about the Koala, l am Australian 🇦🇺 and get a little peeved when people call them bears.
@@Pumpkinspicelatte1968 A koala is a marsupial and not related to bears at all.
Thanks 😊
Love your videos
Some of your comments make me LOL. Like the creepy nutcracker and the Willow Tree painted face. 🤣
THANK YOU for the overlay of the Federal Glass Company catalog pages showing those canisters! I've had a couple of those canisters in amber for many years. I had read the pattern was called "Atterbury Scroll" but hadn't tried to find out what company actually made them. So, I see a lot of them are erroneously listed online as a product of L.E. Smith Glass Co, and I suppose that is because of the confusion with Smith's later colorful "Moon & Star" canisters which do look very much like the Federal "Show Off" canisters at a glance.
The artichoke is a dragon egg cookie jar. New they can sell for &50 to $100.
I think I found an empty urn at goodwill recently… it said Glenn 1987 on the bottom… 😮 so glad you gave it a worker. Hope the family gets the urn back.
The Willow Tree figurine absolutely cracked me up!!!! Thanks for the laugh!
The two headed Colima dog is a Mexico replica of a Mayan piece and is worth some $$
i wood have sold the art panels from the box a cigar shop might have loved the lid , talented artist
Curious to know if green vase turned out to be something good.
The trumpet vase was marked sterling on the edge of the base.
I had the best laugh when you showed that Demdaco figure with the drawn on face .
Cremated remains even had a bird on it. Small, could have been from a pet bird.
I hope it gets back to the owner. Thx Joselyn 😊
When you order an Urn for your loved one, you can get miniatures that size to contain a small amount of ashes for family members. For my father, I selected a very large angel, a miniature that matched, and six wing necklaces that all contained his ashes.
There was a break in of a Van of folks who were visiting in Niagara falls NY and the small urn with the son's ashes were stolen... I never forgot it and hoped somehow ,some way it would turn up. So sad. Who knows where it could have ended up.
Those gravy boats are sought after in England…that looks like Winston Churchill on the front of the box with his signature cigar….
Love watching your videos. ❤. JoAnn
Mum very good video and enjoyed a lot while watching and you're very talented beautiful human being 🎉
😅 that funny bowling pin shaped decoration needs googly 👀 lol.
I think the big artichoke canister was a dragon egg canister.
Hello from deep south Texas ❤😊
Bottom shelf by the clay shakers was a Villeroy and Boch canister
Bummer! I missed it.
The artichoke canister was one of a set of 3 Game of Thrones dragon egg canisters
In the right space, the lid of that broken box with the cigar guy would’ve been really cool hanging on a wall.
Love those Atterbury canisters. I'm a sucker for LE Smith, especially Moon & Star!
Good evening!
Can't go wrong with 2 gravy boats...one for each end of your holiday table.
The green vase with the rough edge may be a lamp shade.
The giant "artichoke" is a dragons egg and depending on brand could be worth good money.
Had to look you up, you tube did’t give me your video by algorithm !
Do you have any videos on your booth? I would love to see it.
This "Ashes" just make my stomach hurt. Because you might end up in a landfill after GW finds you.😊
I think the ashes is from a beloved pet.
Yes, ashes. My mother in law was cremated, each child got a mini urn.
I always think about what was in some of those ginger jars, so I don’t pick them up.
My late father in law is in a West German fat lava floor vase next to my fireplace.
At our Goodwill, there was a ruckus back by the vases-there was a large urn and it had been rinsed out recently (wet inside), it made me sad to think it was some relative that was literally donated away and discarded🥲
salt and pepper shakers look like 60s Acoma pottery (native american)
The bitossi style planter was beautiful, was there a reason you didn't pick it up?
Replica and too Modern probably, I saw it too and would have totally bought it
My guess is those were the cremains of a pet. I kept my favorite cat's ashes in a beautiful art box for 10 yrars or so, but when I was ready to part with it, removed the plastic bag and its contents first! Goodwill got a good donstion thst day!
When you picked up the salt and pepper shakers, you missed the cobalt blue shakers right next to them?
It looks like Mike Ditka, former coach of the Chicago Bears.
At 6:15 those plates look like “I Quattro stagioni” the four seasons. I have a couple of sets and I brought them all the way from Italy, does anyone else recognize them?
I once found a marble urn not knowing what it was and kept hearing rattling on the inside and struggles to open it. I had. Had creepy feelings and nightmares for about a month.
I found a urn at goodwill bins !
I have not found remains yet. I do buy a lot of stuffed toys. I purchased a hand puppet and when i put my hand in it i found a baggie of drugs.
That chest....I see why you wouldn't want it but it will surely find someone who can make the repairs..something quite special about the artwork, I would have run with it.
I liked it. The guy made me think of Edward G Robinson.
This is exactly my fear! I have my husband's and my dog's cremains and plan on being cremated myself. I know my children... if I don't have arrangements made for interment, all three of us will end up at Goodwill. 😆
That was really a beautiful mini-urn though. I wonder what they do with "unclaimed people".
Cairo, plz do not fear
The remains of yr love one should already be buried, plz find a place or let the ashes blows w the wind
Their soul needs to know that they are welcome in Heaven
When ashes are keep its like the soul dont know where to go cuz they know we want to keep them on Earth
We hv to be happy for them to meet God w his Angels
When someone dies, let celebrate their life on Earth and pray God to see them again in Heaven
Hva wonderful day
Stay Happy xox
This is why I have on my will that I will be given back to the earth after I have been made to dust again earlier then planned. ;)
06:03 "Made Exclusively for Garden Ridge." Maybe pretty, not vintage I don't think.
06:40 It's a Colima dog vase, a copy of a Northwestern Mexico original from a civilization dating between 2100 BCE and 1600 BCE. Colima civilisation believed dogs were guides for the souls of the dead, as they travelled through the underworld.
10:43 The Allertons mark dates to the inter-war period, 1929 to 1942.
11:14 As small as the jar is, I'mma bet on pet cremains, perhaps a cat. Humans create a lot more bone dust.
Good eye. I have a similar planter I bought at Garden Ridge around 2002 so possibly getting close to being vintage. Garden Ridge changed their name to At Home in 2014 so it’s almost 10 years old at least.
Mrs. George!!!
I find it sorta ironic that the tag line on this video says you found cremated remains at good will and the ad before the video starts was for a barbecue oven. 😳🤣
That painted wooden box looks as if it was originally a military box.
I was so sad about the cremation. They find them all the time in the storage lockers too.
Should of got the peacock to go with the big gold pelican
I just found my first Williamsburg pottery vase. How can I tell if it's a reproduction or original?
They name Boyd’s Bear that’s his name Nicholas
