Agreed. Those are all of my predictions in those categories too minus Best Sound. I think 'Oppenheimer' will win, but watch out for 'The Zone of Interest' and that would be my personal choice too.
I have been in Oscar pools with people that are film journalist and even hollywood foreign. Won a couple times. Who WILL win and who WANT to win are to different things.
Emma deserves this! She was on fire, testing her limits, overstepping them, took on potentially risky movie role that could easily damage her career. She is the movie. How can such dedication and sacrifices can be overlooked because someone stick nose in category that they don’t belong, only because they knew how strongly narratives affect voters. I’m still holding hope🤞
I agree she is great & so real, but could AB has been nominated before it will be a dues paid win if AB wins even thow Enma Stone is wonderful sometimes best performance doesn't always win in this category.
If it makes you feel any better, Brian, I have the same feelings re: Best Actress. A lot of people are predicting Lily (and it'd be fantastic if she won) but I have a feeling we're gonna have a Streep vs. Davis Part Deux & it's going to Emma
One thing that i wish the Academy could try is to do a tie win again. The last time they did that was Skyfall and Zero Dark Thirty both winning for Best Sound Editing in the same year so idk, it might not happened but it's something that i wish it really does happened again especially for the Best Actress category 😅
It wouldn’t be a surprise. I think it’s 50/50 now. Both really deserve it but right now I think Oppenheimer wins it because of the movie itself. But that’s a reason why I can see the Zone of interest winning it as well. Because the academy might think “Well we already give Oppenheimer picture, director, actor…” let’s give it to the zone 😉
I have mixed feelings about Oppenheimer’s editing. On the one hand, like Magnolia, the three-hour film is so propulsive that it feels like a two-hour film. Major accomplishment. On the other, many of the performances-particularly the female performances-are so fragmented it’s hard to get a grip on most of the supporting figures. This might be an issue with the writing more so than the editing.
I personally don’t understand why Lily Gladstone is best actress when her role was a supporting one and she wasn’t the main focal point of the movie!🤷🏾♀️
Thanks so much, Brian, for your excellent video. I want to especially acknowledge your favorable comments about "The Last Repair Shop." I loved this documentary short, and really hope that it wins!
@@penelopephelange I’ve been saying for months that it would only end up getting nominated for Picture and Screenplay but everyone called me a hater. I was just being realistic. Subtle movies have it hard nowadays especially in a year as packed as this one.

I have kind of an angel-and-devil-on-my-shoulder situation with my feelings about Best Actress. On one hand, I know it would be inspiring for a lot of people to see a previously little-known actress of indigenous heritage win an Oscar, especially since Emma Stone already has one. But on the other hand, with Emma Stone in Poor Things, there’s something I like about a Frankenstein-type role that you could go as for Halloween, being embraced by the Oscars, where straight drama usually prevails. It’s kind of the way I’ve felt when Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor for playing a literal comic book character.
I’m rooting for my top 3 movies of 2023. My top 3 movies of 2023 are(in order) 1. Oppenheimer 2. Godzilla: Minus One 3. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse Let’s go Oppenheimer for best picture and more! Godzilla: Minus One for best visual effects. It was made with a budget of approximately $15 million dollars, yet it looks better than a lot of Hollywood movies with more than 10 times the budget. Let’s go Across the Spider-verse for best animated feature!! *Also, I hope they don’t forget to add Akira Toriyama to the “In Memoriam” section of the Oscars. He created the Dragon Ball franchise, and that series is loved by millions around the world. Michael B Jordan himself is a Dragon Ball Z fan!
*MY OSCAR PREDICTIONS for tomorrow night*: Best Picture: OPPENHEIMER Best Director: Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer) Best Actor: Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer). Upset: Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers) Best Actress: Lily Gladstone (Killers Of The Flower Moon). Upset: Emma Stone (Poor Things) Best Supporting Actor: Robert Downey, Jr. (Oppenheimer) Best Supporting Actress: Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) Best Original Screenplay: Anatomy Of A Fall Best Adapted Screenplay: American Fiction Best Cinematography: Poor Things Best Editing: Oppenheimer Best Sound: Oppenheimer Best Score: Oppenheimer Best Song: “What Was I Made For?” (Barbie) Best Costume Design: Barbie Best Production Design: Barbie Best Hair & Make-Up Design: Poor Things Best Visual Effects: The Creator Best International Feature: The Zone Of Interest Best Animated Feature: The Boy & The Heron (Hayao Miyazaki) OR Spider-Man Across The Universe (Sony) Saw ALL of them, finally caught up. **2 Categories which could go either way, Best Actress & Best Animated Feature
I agree with Brian on so many of these, where I differ is Best Director and Best Picture. Deep down I know Christopher Nolan is take home both Best Director and Best Picture for “Oppenheimer,” but there’s a part of me that feels like it would be so cool if “Barbie” earned the Oscar for Best Picture instead. I mean, the Golden Globes practically created an award for the film. So why not give it to the best earning film of the year?! A film, no less, that also is very well made, has made a significant impact on pop culture and still remains in conversation outside of the awards season?
@@shadysorkin9214 Lily has more screen time than MANY leading performances that have won in the past. Her presence is felt throughout the movie. Many people respond to that type of subtle acting and clearly the academy agrees with her category placement. 🤷
@@johanna2086 Other performances winning with less time in the past isn't much of an argument when you have performances up against hers like Huller and Stone. Saying someone's presence is felt in a film is just another way of saying she wasnt in it much. I don't need to feel the presence of the other nominated performances because I get to actually watch them instead. The academy gave Green Book best picture. The academy don't always know what they are doing and if you've been watching them over the years that would be pretty obvious. I never said anything about her subtle acting I just said she was barely in the film because it's true. Cillian Murphy gives a subtle performance if you are comparing it to Brendan Fraser from last year.
Why people still asking why. We know Emma deserves the Oscar better, but Lilly has a strong narrative, she will win, even tho Emma’s performance was better
Emma Stone should win. However, Lily Gladstone will probably win but it won’t be for the right reasons. Her performance in KOTFM is good, but not worthy of winning Best Actress among this company of nominees.
Yesterday, I watched Poor Things, and oh my God, what a movie Emma Stone performance was just fantastic in this role she eats it up every scene, and Mark Ruffalo was my favorite part about the movie just amazing a d William Dafoe was very heartbreaking to watch sometimes and other cast good job and Yorgos Lanthimos is a amazing director I get a 10 out of 10
I don’t see the Yeoh-Gladstone comparison at all. Yeoh has been a revered actress for 20 years, first Asian BA nominee, in the EEAAO sweep and is the centerpiece in it with her LEADING performance full of physicality, range and versatility. Gladstone has the ethnic narrative. Helllllooooo.
Unfortunately, this category fraud and gaslighting peoples opinion about this mediocre performance and movie, because someone birthright “victim” of white aggression🤨 Academy needs whole new category “Best Representation award” this is not based on acting.
My final predictions on every category: Picture: Oppenheimer Director: Christopher Nolan Actor: Cillian Murphy Actress: Lily Gladstone Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr Supporting Actress: Da'vine Joy Randolph Original Screenplay: Anatomy of a Fall Adapted Screenplay: American Fiction Cinematography: Oppenheimer Film Editing: Oppenheimer Production Design: Barbie Costume Design: Barbie Makeup and Hairstyling: Maestro Original Score: Oppenheimer Sound: Oppenheimer Visual Effects: The Creator Animated Feature: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse International Feature: The Zone of Interest Documentary Feature: 20 Days in Mariupol Original Song: What Was I Made For Live Action Short: Red, White, and Blue Animated Short: War is Over! Documentary Short: The Last Repair Shop
My votes for the top 10 categories: Best Picture: Oppenheimer Best Director: Christopher Nolan Best Actor: Cillian Murphy (as much as I want Paul Giamatti to win) Best Actress: Lily Gladstone Best Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr. Best Supporting Actress: Da'Vine Joy Randolph Best Adapted Screenplay: Oppenheimer (as much as I'd love to throw Barbie this win for Greta and Noah, or better yet, American Fiction) Best Original Screenplay: Anatomy of a Fall (as much as I loved Past Lives, I don't think it stands a chance) Original Song: What Was I Made For? (even though I can't bring myself to admit Billie Eilish will be a 2 time Oscar winner for whispering...) International Feature: The Zone of Interest Oppenheimer will clean up most of the remaining technical categories, like Cinematography, Editing, Sound, and Score. I think the biggest "race" will be between Gladstone and Stone for Best Actress, but honestly, with Emma being so young, already having an Oscar, and the narrative surrounding Lily being an Indigenous Person, a WOC, and giving a reserved but powerful performance in a drama, compared to Emma's playful, comedy performance... I think Lily will win, but I don't want to jinx it hahaha. I'm eager for Sunday!!!
I am so happy and my entire family was jumping and yelling for happiness that Emma Stone won her 2nd Best Actress Oscars award. Many on social media including famous bloggers and some newspapers were predicting Lily G. to win which for me is not even Oscars worthy for best actress. Sandra Huller for me should win if it's not Emma.
After Jamie Lee won SAG and Oscar last year, I clearly understand everything can happen there because we really dont know all other factors influence the voters. So, enjoy the show!
The following are NOT my predictions, but rather my choices: Best Picture: Zone of Interest Best Actor: Andrew Scott - All of us Strangers Best Actress: Carey Mulligan - Maestro Best Supporting Actor: Paul Mescal - All of us Strangers Best Supporting Actress: Sandra Huller - Zone of Interest Best Director: Jonathan Glazer - Zone of Interest Best Screenplay: Maestro
While I think Emma Stone deserves it, Gladstone will win. She has the same narrative as Michelle Yeoh did last year. The Supporting races are the biggest locks in years. Picture and Director are locks too. Cillian Murphy has it (if there is any upset of the night it will be Giamatti). Oppenheimer gets 7 Oscars; the others likely one or two.
That is reductive. Disagree personally, but Yeoh is an industry legend and was in the best picture winner. Lily is relatively new and Killers may not win any awards.
@@oscarman42 Yeah, but personally, Michelle did not win because mainly because she was part of an under-represented group. She is an industry legend in a best picture winner. Lily is neither of those things and only has the performance and that she is in an under-represented group. Also I hate that underrepresented is sometimes only presented as race/ethnicity. Do not hear the same argument for Paul Raci to win for a disability or a gay person to win for that narratives. Be consistent or do not root for a narrative at all.
I also got 18/23 correct Brian. Like you, I also missed on animated feature, costume design, and sound. I also missed on best documentary short and best live action short. For me, the highlights of the night were the “I’m Just Ken” musical number, Jimmy Kimmel responding to Trump‘s stupid tweet, the zone of interest winning for Best sound-and , Godzilla, minus one winning for best visual effects. I was really rooting for Lily to win best actress just for the historical significance of that. And because I think it would’ve meant so much to her personally. But I was also really happy to see Emma win because I agree with you that she gave the superior performance for her category this year. I really love your channel. Keep it up with a great videos.
Best Actress is the only of the top of the line categories where there is a contest. I'm with you, based on the fact that at SAG, the Academy voters had already had a few days to vote, and that Emma's last Oscar was many years ago. But I will be happy either way. We'll see!
Emma stone deserves to win the Oscar hands down, if she doesn't it will feel very crappy in the future to know that Emma didn't win for poor things. People say, oh she already has an Oscar, but if Frances McDormand won 2 oscars so close together why not Emma, and to me her win was a long time ago anyway.
I always look forward to your predictions every year! I saw that you had something going with your predictions for last year with Fraser and Yeoh winning which I was pessimistic about.

I’m ready to see an Oppenheimer sweep. This is defiantly Christopher Nolan’s biggest year yet. Thank you for the video Brian, hope you’re doing well. Take care!
2023 was the first year that I really got into film, and therefore this was the first race that I paid attention to before Oscar night. What a ride it has been, I can’t wait for the winners to be announced. Right after I walked out of Oppenheimer, I was really hoping that it would win best picture, and here we are.

Sandra Hüller is Nr.1 this Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just watched Oppenheimer on digital and tbh I was expecting more given all the hype. Maybe I should’ve watched it on the big screen. It’s a good film with great acting. But I wasn’t as engrossed in the story as I hoped to be. Edit: I found Einstein to be the most interesting and likable character. Please make a movie about him next, Christopher Nolan!
so Am I . I'am betting on Emma Stone. Lily was great but her role was less complicated comparing to Emma's besides lily's role is more supporting than leading
I wouldn’t be mad about Emma Stone winning, but I think I am leaning towards Lily Gladstone. But either win would be nothing to sneeze about 😂 (just please no Sandra Hueller surprises)
This first year of oscaaaar🏆🏆🏆 i was will your chanell brian 💛💛😍😍💛💛 I spend amazing time with your oscar video💛 I hope Paul jiamatii Take oscar tomrrow🏆
Stick to your guns! Lily Gladstone is not like Michelle Yeoah. Michelle is a queen who's been long overdue for recognition and has endured many academy snubs, she was the lead actress (without any doubts) in a lead picture. It was her time. KOTFM really doesn't have anything else except for Lily going for it, not that it's not a great performance but there are doubts as to whether it's actually a leading performance. Poor Things has much better chances of picking up some other awards, I give the edge to Emma and Poor Things.
Another person that feels Robert Downey Junior has a lock on the award for best supporfting actor, because that's the way it's been going at the other awards. Nobody has said anything about DeNeiro and I'm wondering why. Your time is past Old Man? HIs character was such a catalyst in Killers of the Flower Moon, menace personified crossed with guaranteed ensuing peril. In comparison Robert Downey Junior's character is an impatient busybody. Heavy sigh here, Roll eyes there, He does indeed make liife difficult for people. But I had fear in my heart for anyone who Deneirio's charcter decided needed removing..
I have to say I really don't foresee Oppenheimer sweeping the ceremony like everyone else does. I feel it's going to be a night of surprises. I also feel Killers of the Flower Moon will win more than just Best Actress.
@@harshc4755I love how “narrative wins” are only ever a problem when a person of color is in contention and *might* take it away from a WASP who already has a trophy of their own. Elizabeth Taylor in Butterfield 8, Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side, and Mary Pickford in Coquette are all among the most beloved and highly praised winners in the category, right? They triumphed solely based on their superior performances and raw merit… sure didn’t have a thing to do with Hollywood politics.
@@dunklefester Who cares that Emma is a WASP and already has a trophy. You are being just as racist as you are accusing others as being. If Lily wins it should be on merit, same with Emma. As far as Sandra Bullock goes, I loved her in The Blind Side and thought she deserved it.
@@tonyg76I remember when Jodie Foster won the SAG for "Nell" but lost the Oscar to Jessica Lange for "Blue Sky." Same for Viola Davis for "The Help" losing to Meryl Streep for "The Iron Lady." Additionally Viola Davis won SAG for "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" losing the Oscar to Frances McDormand "Nomadland." To round out the list, there's Annette Bening's SAG win for "American Beauty" losing to Hilary Swank's "Boys Don't Cry" Oscar steal; Renee Zellweger's "Chicago" lead SAG win losing to Nicole Kidman's supporting role in "The Hours;" Julie Christie in "Away from Her" upset by Oscar win by Marion Cotillard's "La Vie en Rose;" Meryl Streep's "Doubt" win falling to Oscar category fraud with Kate Winslet in "The Reader." Lastly, and probably most glaring, who can forget SAG trophy going to Glenn Close for "The Wife" losing the Oscar to a supporting role of Oliva Colman in "The Favourite." ???
Production design: Barbie duplicates every Barbie doll setting. Where’s the creative design in that? IMO, the brilliant designs of production design are Poor Things. As for costumes, sorry, but same rationale. Barbie costumes are lifted right from already designed doll wardrobe. Poor Things wins again. Poor things loses to Maestro. In a nutshell, Poor Things is superior in those categories. And if Emma Stone’s extraordinary physicality, versatility and range doesn’t award her for Best Performance in a LEADING category, even more of the Academy’s credibility sinks. When they choose a supporting (though very touching) performance based on history-making narrative ALONE, Lily Gladstone will probably know it and that will take some of the shine off her statue. I would vote for Nolan’s adaptation screenplay because I read the book and because I read the screenplay written in the FIRST PERSON. But not many voters will have done the same so I think Nolan will lose BScr …again … I think Oppenheimer is a film for the ages, especially our own nuclear age, and I’m thrilled so many people are supporting it. Long after others have been shelved in our memories, Oppenheimer will be just as impactful a film then as it is now. It will be unforgettable.
Emma Stone will be robbed of her second Oscar because the Oscars have become politically correct and very socialist. "Oh, she's already won, let's not give her another one." Thinking of you Cate Blanchett for last year's Tar.
Last year, The Banshees of Inisherin (with 9 nominations), The Fabelmans, Tár, and Elvis, all winning some major awards elsewhere, got ZERO Oscar wins. The Academy voters are perverse. I don’t trust them to vote merit over any irrelevant factor. I can see Barbie (yes, the highest grossing movie maybe ever) going home empty handed as well as Maestro, Killers (yes, Stone winning the Stones with the international vote), and American Fiction. Like I said, perverse.
As Poor Things can't win best picture (shame!!) or best director, I would be trully disgusted and shocked if they don't give it to Emma. But let's face it, in the history of Oscars, this would not be the first scandalous decision!!😅
Biggest Oscar traumas (😅) for me : Sam Mendes over Michael Mann in 1999, Jennifer Lawrence over Jessica Chastain in 2013, and of course Tom Hooper over David Fincher in 2011 - but who wasn't shocked by this one ??

The last time they did that was Skyfall and Zero Dark Thirty both winning for Best Sound Editing in the same year so idk, it might not happened but it's something that i wish it really does happened again especially for the Best Actress category 😅
oscars is a voting thing so a tie is quite unlikely
@@SakuraPonchonsavarit Which is why only 6 ties have happened in Oscar history.
EMMA yes! Lily should be in Supporting Shes only in 25% of that film.
Is it really a surprise if Zone of Intrest wins sound? Its one of the awards I for one am most rooting for.

On the other, many of the performances-particularly the female performances-are so fragmented it’s hard to get a grip on most of the supporting figures. This might be an issue with the writing more so than the editing.
I want sandra to win for the utter choas it would create and because i loved it
YES 🙏🏼
All my wishes are for Emma! She takes the whole damn movie in her back! That's a lead performance!
Mine, too.
Your instincts paid off on Emma!
It’s crazy how hard Past Lives has fallen. It’s the only movie in the entire best picture lineup that’s practically guaranteed to not win an Oscar.
I know it's so funny 😂😂
@@penelopephelange I’ve been saying for months that it would only end up getting nominated for Picture and Screenplay but everyone called me a hater. I was just being realistic. Subtle movies have it hard nowadays especially in a year as packed as this one.
Not practically. It's CERTAIN that it won't win anything.

Emma’s Eyebrows: “Yes, Brian, you HAVE to go with me!! FEAR me! But LOVE me!”
Yes, Brian, I totally agree with your analysis of your final prediction. Emma Stone will deservingly win the Best Actress award.
I hope so!
What if Emma and Lily tie lol but fr its such a hard choice bc they were both so great 😭
Not impossible happen before odds against happening but so is winning the lottery.
"Women Talking" also scored two nominations in Picture and Screenplay, winning Screenplay, so Past Lives might have a chance
It's not happening
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse
Let’s go Oppenheimer for best picture and more!
So glad you went with your heart. Emma won.❤
Imagine Sandra struts onto the stage to get her trophy to the "instrumental version" of PIMP... How dreamy!
*MY OSCAR PREDICTIONS for tomorrow night*:
Best Picture: OPPENHEIMER

Best Actor: Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer). Upset: Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers)
Best Actress: Lily Gladstone (Killers Of The Flower Moon). Upset: Emma Stone (Poor Things)

Best Supporting Actress: Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers)

Best Song: “What Was I Made For?” (Barbie)
Best Costume Design: Barbie

Best Visual Effects: The Creator
Best International Feature: The Zone Of Interest
Best Animated Feature: The Boy & The Heron (Hayao Miyazaki) OR Spider-Man Across The Universe (Sony)
Saw ALL of them, finally caught up.
**2 Categories which could go either way, Best Actress & Best Animated Feature
BRIAN,,,, EMMA WON❤️❤️❤️😘🥰🥰
I agree with Brian on so many of these, where I differ is Best Director and Best Picture. Deep down I know Christopher Nolan is take home both Best Director and Best Picture for “Oppenheimer,” but there’s a part of me that feels like it would be so cool if “Barbie” earned the Oscar for Best Picture instead. I mean, the Golden Globes practically created an award for the film. So why not give it to the best earning film of the year?! A film, no less, that also is very well made, has made a significant impact on pop culture and still remains in conversation outside of the awards season?
I will riot if Barbie wins best picture 😢
Lily Gladstone needs to happen.
She'll happen.
Why? It's not an Oscar worthy performance. She's barely even in the movie.
The Society of The Snow is the best movie out of all those. They did amazing.
Agree not the same at all.
Unfortunately, this category fraud and gaslighting peoples opinion about this mediocre performance and movie, because someone birthright “victim” of white aggression🤨
Academy needs whole new category “Best Representation award” this is not based on acting.
I split Costume Design and Production Design too Bry-guy. I’m feelings better that you have too. It feels kinda right.
My final predictions on every category:
Picture: Oppenheimer
Director: Christopher Nolan
Actor: Cillian Murphy
Actress: Lily Gladstone
Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr
Supporting Actress: Da'vine Joy Randolph
Original Screenplay: Anatomy of a Fall
Adapted Screenplay: American Fiction
Cinematography: Oppenheimer
Film Editing: Oppenheimer
Production Design: Barbie
Costume Design: Barbie
Makeup and Hairstyling: Maestro
Original Score: Oppenheimer
Sound: Oppenheimer
Visual Effects: The Creator
Animated Feature: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
International Feature: The Zone of Interest
Documentary Feature: 20 Days in Mariupol
Original Song: What Was I Made For
Live Action Short: Red, White, and Blue
Animated Short: War is Over!
Documentary Short: The Last Repair Shop
My votes for the top 10 categories:
Best Picture: Oppenheimer
Best Director: Christopher Nolan
Best Actor: Cillian Murphy (as much as I want Paul Giamatti to win)
Best Actress: Lily Gladstone
Best Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr.
Best Supporting Actress: Da'Vine Joy Randolph
Best Adapted Screenplay: Oppenheimer (as much as I'd love to throw Barbie this win for Greta and Noah, or better yet, American Fiction)
Best Original Screenplay: Anatomy of a Fall (as much as I loved Past Lives, I don't think it stands a chance)
Original Song: What Was I Made For? (even though I can't bring myself to admit Billie Eilish will be a 2 time Oscar winner for whispering...)
International Feature: The Zone of Interest
Oppenheimer will clean up most of the remaining technical categories, like Cinematography, Editing, Sound, and Score. I'm eager for Sunday!!!
the recent academy voters are so sentimental and are so desparate to make history, but I'm still holding out hope for emma in best actress.
The following are NOT my predictions, but rather my choices:
Best Picture: Zone of Interest
Best Actor: Andrew Scott - All of us Strangers
Best Actress: Carey Mulligan - Maestro
Best Supporting Actor: Paul Mescal - All of us Strangers
Best Supporting Actress: Sandra Huller - Zone of Interest
Best Director: Jonathan Glazer - Zone of Interest
Best Screenplay: Maestro
Emma Stone should win!

@@tonyg76 I was referring to the fact that neither won BAFTA but both won SAG, and each actor is part of a heretofore under-represented group.
@@tonyg76 I voted for Yeoh at SAG. The Oscars, to me, are fun. I'm not here to argue. You can be right. Let's move on.
It is magnificent the Analysis you make and everything you Consider for it
I also got 18/23 correct Brian.
I’m totally rooting for Oppenheimer (I predict 8 Oscars) and Sandra Hüller 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Let’s go Lily for best actress 🤞🏽
Best Actress is the only of the top of the line categories where there is a contest. I'm with you, based on the fact that at SAG, the Academy voters had already had a few days to vote, and that Emma's last Oscar was many years ago. But I will be happy either way. We'll see!
Oppenheimer wins!
I’m gonna have to rewatch killers bc I don’t remember leaving the theater with a woawww but for poor things I did
Emma stone deserves to win the Oscar hands down, if she doesn't it will feel very crappy in the future to know that Emma didn't win for poor things.
People say, oh she already has an Oscar, but if Frances McDormand won 2 oscars so close together why not Emma, and to me her win was a long time ago anyway.
I agree. All in on Emma!
I think poor thing has best costume. The thought that went into that construction was incredible. Barbie was mimicking existing IP
Emma or Lily will be the winner. But by far the BEST LEADING ACTRESS (opinion in whole world) is Sandra Hüller, by "Anatomy of a fall". 😉
I always look forward to your predictions every year! I saw that you had something going with your predictions for last year with Fraser and Yeoh winning which I was pessimistic about.

Petition for Brian to do a live Watch-Along of the Oscar’s!
Just wondering if you’re going to do Wes Anderson and the elusive Oscar. Let’s face it he’s probably winning Live Action Short.
Happy Oscar's day Brian!
I’m ready to see an Oppenheimer sweep. This is defiantly Christopher Nolan’s biggest year yet. Thank you for the video Brian, hope you’re doing well. Take care!
Emma = you see, hear and feel she's acting, Lilly = you forget she's acting. My vote goes to Sandra :)*
2023 was the first year that I really got into film, and therefore this was the first race that I paid attention to before Oscar night. What a ride it has been, I can’t wait for the winners to be announced. Right after I walked out of Oppenheimer, I was really hoping that it would win best picture, and here we are.
Yes, Emma Stone!
I have loved to follow award season this year, and it's all thanks to you! Keep up with the amazing work❤
How many oscar’s prediction videos you will post?
Yess!!
I just managed to watch Poor Things last night, it was incredible
This is a really great year for many of these categories, almost all of these nominees would make an excellent win.
Glad you enjoyed this Oscar year, but I did not besides Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers and Poor Things.
Just watch the Academy voting for I'm just Ken just for laughs and it ends up winning
I legitimately love that song! It's hilarious and so fun. I'm also a musical theater nerd, so that tracks.
As for The Boy & the Heron, also worth noting they already awarded Miyazaki the Oscar for Spirited Away, so if he wins it wouldn’t be his 1st.

I agree with your predictions.
You guessed right. Always go with your gut
Sandra Hüller is Nr.1 this Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Babe you were almost spot on!!!❤️
I just watched Oppenheimer on digital and tbh I was expecting more given all the hype. Maybe I should’ve watched it on the big screen. It’s a good film with great acting. But I wasn’t as engrossed in the story as I hoped to be.
Edit: I found Einstein to be the most interesting and likable character. Please make a movie about him next, Christopher Nolan!
This was my experience too.
I saw it in the theater and had the same conclusion.
I saw it in theater and digital. You should have seen it on the big screen!
Watching the breakdown you had for Best Actress was hella relatable. I have Lily but Emma is so good but so is Lily and... ARGH!!!!!
I feel like this award season has went by very fast.
This for me, is talent! you are so right!!!!!!
I think Opp... to win 15 Oscars from 13 including all from his nominations and additional for best song and best visual effects
I feel like Lily will win for the history making, rather than being actually deserving of it
Don't agree. She has definitely earned this win. 🎉
@@barbaraladouceur6305 Glad you think so, I do not.
That would be insulting to Lily and a terrible reason for Lily to win. Go Emma!
This first year of oscaaaar🏆🏆🏆 i was will your chanell brian 💛💛😍😍💛💛
I spend amazing time with your oscar video💛
I hope
Paul jiamatii
Take oscar tomrrow🏆
Stick to your guns! Lily Gladstone is not like Michelle Yeoah. Michelle is a queen who's been long overdue for recognition and has endured many academy snubs, she was the lead actress (without any doubts) in a lead picture. It was her time. KOTFM really doesn't have anything else except for Lily going for it, not that it's not a great performance but there are doubts as to whether it's actually a leading performance. Poor Things has much better chances of picking up some other awards, I give the edge to Emma and Poor Things.
Me, too!
After having finally seen poor things, I'm going to be really sad if the academy doesn't reward it as much as possible... it's a masterpiece
Idk if the example of Toy Story can be used in favor of Spiderverse, Disney is a huge lobby at the Oscars and had a chokehold on the animated category
Emma won!!! As you predicted
I have to say I really don't foresee Oppenheimer sweeping the ceremony like everyone else does. I feel it's going to be a night of surprises. I also feel Killers of the Flower Moon will win more than just Best Actress.
Anatomy of a fall won grand prize at cannes so it’s not exactly under performing in other awards
Still sad Stone lost her second Oscar after SAG went with Gladstone. Not glad Gladstone will win Sunday night.
Same...narrative win 🥲
Still rooting for Emma and have not lost hope. SAG is not always indicative of the Oscar winner.
They are all winners
Emma Stone will be robbed of her second Oscar because the Oscars have become politically correct and very socialist. "Oh, she's already won, let's not give her another one." Thinking of you Cate Blanchett for last year's Tar.
Yeah, that is a terrible argument. Go Emma!
Like I said, perverse.
not enough praise for Mark Ruffalo in a totally hilarious performance.
As Poor Things can't win best picture (shame!!) or best director, I would be trully disgusted and shocked if they don't give it to Emma. But let's face it, in the history of Oscars, this would not be the first scandalous decision!!😅
Moonlight over La La Land, Crash over BBM, SiL over SPR, Gwyneth over Cate/Montenegro.
Biggest Oscar traumas (😅) for me : Sam Mendes over Michael Mann in 1999, Jennifer Lawrence over Jessica Chastain in 2013, and of course Tom Hooper over David Fincher in 2011 - but who wasn't shocked by this one ??
Gladstone has the narrative, but she doesn't hold a candle to Stone's talent and performance.
Did you steal that polo shirt from 1974
