This video attempts to explain how to get started with the ATTiny85 and the ESP01 microcontrollers, and shows an easy way to make them work together in a portable project, rechargeable project.

Why do you guys spoil a great video by putting junk music over it.. when you lose the music I’ll come back
Hahahaha, It's my own music so I don't have to worry about it getting flagged. I'll make it alittle quieter next time, but it will continue to be my own music behind the vids.
Jeff Goergen like you I do produce music, so I appreciate the talent, but I also like you play with tech, I just find it difficult to listen to you with the music. Try a lower level ,, sorry to moan,
No worries, TheKetsa had the same comment. I'll make sure it's quieter in future vids, for sure.
I'll never know if the video was great or not because the racket was so distracting I stopped watching at 23 seconds.
Was that an I2C communication between the two boards? And how many PWM pins are there on attiny85?
Harjas Singh it’s serial communication and there are 3 pwn pins on it.
Supposedly 5: www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/en/ATtiny85
Esp-01 has 4 pins Tx and RX are gpio1 and gpio3
Ed19601 ah, yeah. That’s a mistake for sure. Thank you!
@@ArtsyEngineering sorry, didn't want to nitpick
Ed19601 no problem at all!
I think I was probably meaning that only 2 of the gpio pins can be used easily ( without extra work and concern for how they’re pulled up / down at start. ) But I didn’t say it, so it wasn’t really accurate.
I appreciate the correction!
NO BACKGROUND MUSIC.
Hmmm, what about making it alot quieter? I just feel like videos are alot more boring with so much dead space when there's no talking.
MUSIC : TOO LOUD
Why not simply use another ESP, like ESP07 or ESP12 ?
it's probably okay to do, if you've bought a lot of ESP01 in the early days ;)
I like the music as is, but if most people think it’s too loud I’ll go lower in new videos.
Like Dave said, I have a ton of ESP01s around. Plus I feel like a lot of people don’t know how to use, or avoid these 2 processors because they’re kinda complicated sounding. So it was a good excuse to make a vid for both in one shot.
Hey, could I ask you some questions?
Yasyas Marangoz Ofcourse! I’ll try to get back to you ASAP
@@ArtsyEngineering Ok, what does ASAP mean?
Yasyas Marangoz it stands for “as soon as possible” which is a common English phrase meaning as soon as I get a moment
@@ArtsyEngineering Thx ^^
@@ArtsyEngineering Ok here are my questions:
1.What is the purpose of the Attiny here?
Why do we need them both (attiny,esp01)?
2.What exactly does this project do?
3.Can I use the esp01 to host a tiny little webserver which my phone could connect to and control something like an iot device?
4.Can I run html on the esp01?
5.How much space does it have?
(and how to add some via other chips or something)
Sorry for asking so many questions, but I got really intrested in this kind of stuff 😃
Would have liked to listen but background music to much Bye.
No Music. Very distracting. Bye
Ahaha k bye
