    Hey Adio_!
    Thanks for the easy tutorial! I was about to go NUTS trying to get this to work! More than that, I was looking for an easy and explainable way to do this and do it right! And, thanks to you, I was able to achieve that! Thank you so much for your help! I have several of the ATTINY85's and now I'm going to enjoy programming them, not to mention how much fun I'm going to have with these!

    Meanwhile the URL got changed as the old project deprecated.
    The new project is called ATTinyCore and has more supported boards and even support for I2C, SPI, UART (via USI)

    Thanks! I ran into error "avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1" during the final sketch upload but I fixed it by connecting 10uF capacitor between RESET and GND on the Arduino Uno.

    i have a problem
    i want a servo motor to operate in 2 different speeds with 2 diffrent clicks on button
    for example normal 120 degree rotation speed at single click and fast 120 degree rotation at double click using on off tactile switch using a cr123a battery.all these using a pcb or arduino in the most smallest space.is it possible?

    hello yesterday i bought an at tiny 85 and before 5 minutes it worked fine but the last time i plugged it in(with a 8*8 matrix) i put reverse voltage by mistake and now they both dont run did i burn them?

    • @ssql
      @ssql 3 года назад

      Unfortunately you probably burnt them, I doubt the ATtiny85 has a reverse polarity preventing diode built into it. As for the LEDs they should be fine.

  • @Ed19601

    Attiny85 is a great chip, but in DIL it is too expensive. A few dimes more gets you a Pro Mini

    • @fatroberto3012
      @fatroberto3012 4 года назад +1

      But when you want to make something to sell (not that most people ever do) the SMD ATtiny85 is a fifth of the price and much easier to solder than a 328.

    • @tonysicily2687

      If space is a problem and you do not need a lot of functionality the ATTINY is a much better option.

    • @Ed19601

      @@fatroberto3012 i agree, but as you already indicate: most of us don't 😉

    • @Ed19601
      @Ed19601 3 года назад

      @@tonysicily2687 sure, there are always circumstances where one is a better option than another. I have used the attiny85 and even the attiny10 many times eventhough space was never a factor, but sure, each has its place

      @@Ed19601 I love the Nano, such a great device, and really easy to use, but it is just too big to fit inside a magic wand *my latest project) hence e being here trying to learn.

    instead of using 3 resistors, can't you just use 1 resistor on the negative pin to the cathode of the 3 LEDs...

    • @flightisallright
      @flightisallright 5 лет назад +3

      Yes, but if 2 or more LEDs light up at the same time, one LED might see more current than the other(s) but it's unlikely to do any damage.

    Sir I have a doubt when we use atmega328p we need to use Crystal ocillator why we need not use same in attiny
    85

    • @j_owatson
      @j_owatson 9 месяцев назад +1

      The chip most likely has an internal clock. Fun fact the ATmega328p actually has an internal clock however as the clock only has an accuracy of 10% an external clock is used.

    • @elalemanpaisa
      @elalemanpaisa 26 дней назад +1

      you don't need to use one in atmega328 but the internal is 'only' at 8mhz

    Prečo všetci len Arduino používajú??? Programátor + AVR Studio a viete čo robíte...

    • @Adio_
      @Adio_  4 года назад

      Aj s tým viem robiť, dokonca aj v assembly, len na to neexistuje rozvinutý ekosystém, v ktorom by začiatočník vedel jednoducho pracovať. V Arduino IDE stačí na blikanie LEDky pár riadkov kódu (knižnice sú už implementované). Naopak v AVR štúdiu na to treba skoro stranu. Je ale pravda, že v AVR studio je človek bližšie k strojovému kódu, a preto sa naučí, ako naozaj daný mikrokontrolér pracuje.
