- This is a video I promised you guys on me wearing my Green Ranger cosplay. These cosplays take a little patience to get from the ones who make them, because they're mostly handmade. The suit Aniki provides does consist of a shiny spandex material. The material you're referring about is made up of a different material that Aniki however doesn't make the suits out of. There is a person on Rangerboard who does make the screen accurate spandex suits but last time I've checked, they're quite expensive. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of who makes it as I haven't been on Rangerboard in a long time.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't remember what size drill bit I used. It may have been a 3/4 in drill bit because I definitely wanted more breathing capability than what I had previously. As long as you're not using a bit that is too big to where it's not going to cause the new holes to interfere with the curve of the mouth area, you should be good.

I totally agree , at conventions you really do feel almost like a celebrity. Cosplayers are one of the main reasons people attend cons because they just wanna see the creativity that's out there. So in a sense it's an attraction in itself. Wait until you see my next Power Ranger cosplay coming soon, it's gonna be quite impressive. The breathing in the helmet can be a bit of a problem at times, but you train yourself how to control your breathing in it through continuous use.
The suit I purchased from Aniki was a complete suit and it came with everything. I spent a little over $900 including shipping. I wanted an accurate suit and I knew it was gonna cost a pretty penny. If you're considering a power ranger cosplay especially a full one, I recommend Aniki. He does a pretty good job with getting back with customers. He is still a bit of a pain to get a hold of, but he does get back to you. It took me almost 3 months to get it so patience will play it's part as well.
Thanks for the compliment and I'm glad you enjoy it. The helmet color believe it or not isn't the exact shade of green as the jumpsuit but it's the same green as the gauntlets and boots. The suit in the tv show in fact never really matched either or had an exact shade of green for the whole suit. However I've thought about considering buying another suit from someone on Rangerboard that makes the suit a bit more screen accurate.
The suits don't come cheap unfortunately. But you get what you pay for and it's the closest in screen accuracy and design that you'll get to the actual show. Aniki owns a few of the screen used props and outfits from some of the shows, so that's generally where he references some of his work from. The rest, he goes off of screenshots and other materials he finds. All his work is done by hand. If you want that suit from the Turbo series, it's gonna be pricey either way. Start saving brother : )
Yeah, I knew it was either white or silver lol. Either way, it was an outline on the helmet that was noticeable throughout some of the episodes. If you're looking to get a White Ranger suit, get in touch with Aniki Cosplay on Facebook. He can give you a quote on a full suit with shipping included. He should be finishing up my King Ranger suit with the staff as we speak. If you're unfamiliar who he was, he's the Ranger who commands a giant pyramid that he summons with his staff.
As far as taking the shield off yourself, I usually had a friend to help me out. Mainly because I didn't want the velcro touching the suit when I removed it. The other way I did it was I left the back velcro unattached and the front velcro attached when wearing it. That way when you go to take it off, you remove the front velcro and lift the front and back, and spin the shield around to where the back is in front of you. You can then undo the velcro from there. That's how I always did it.

The suit for the most part isn't all that delicate, except for the details on the gauntlets and the boots. They are glued on so keep some super glue handy especially if you plan on wearing it often. Other than that, it's pretty durable if you take care of your things on a regular basis.

The shield is one standard size that Aniki makes. That's great that you're going as the Green Ranger for Comic Con this year. I'm building a Ghostbusters proton pack for San Diego Comic Con this year and I'm going as either the King Ranger from the Zeo series or the Omega Ranger from SPD. Whichever cosplay Aniki finishes first lol.
Thanks, to answer your question the helmets are very visible when seeing out of them. Because they are kinda cramped on the inside, they do tend to fog up pretty easily as the breathing holes aren't big enough to vent the heat out. FogTech helps alleviate the fogging though and it lasts for 5 days.
It's a design Aniki uses where the helmet is split into two halves. Adhesive band material holds the two halves together when you open it and padding surrounds the inside. Check out my 2 part videos on my channel for an in depth look.
Aniki does Kamen Rider cosplays as well. It just depends on what character you're looking for is what will determine the time frame for him to complete it.

Thanks, I was pretty lucky enough to have owned one of these suits. I have another Power Ranger suit on the way and it's the Gold Ranger from the Zeo series. Anyhow, I do know what you're referring to as far as the other Green Ranger is concerned. That one had the Green helmet with a white outline on it. Helmets snapping together from the inside would give it a clean look but just more difficult to put on. Either way, hopefully you can get one.
Thanks I really do love the costume as well. Unfortunately I live in California and I had to choose one big con to go to this year and I chose Anime Expo. I may in fact head to Dragon Con next year though. Heard lots of good things about it. I'm planning to hit up Comic Con in San Diego next year as well.
Thanks, I just recently got back from Japan. I'm hoping to get a Kamen Rider, Ultraman or Gokaiger cosplay to wear out there next time. They love seeing people dressed up as masked heroes :)
Well the only issue I really had with it is the helmet fogging up heavily. Because the helmet has barely any room to breathe in it, I used FogTec and it helped keep the visor clear to see out of it. Aside from that, the whole suit was great and I'll be doing a King Ranger next :)

The suit set me back around $950 to include shipping and everything. Although this is a bit pricey, for what you're getting it's worth it. Aniki completely hand crafts the entire suit and it's about as close as you're gonna get to the ones used from the show. Aniki does possess a few screen used stunt suits from the original series so that's where he base's his commissions off of.
I like to be a bit on the exact side when I take my measurements. However, try to get a size that's a tad bit bigger than what you are measuring. It is a spandex suit after all, so you want to have a little bit of slack in it so your body can still breathe somewhat or if you put on a few pounds. Just add a few more inches to some of the areas on the measurement chart. In regards to the pricing, I paid around the same amount Aniki is offering you the suit for.
The helmet is about 64cm from inner circumference and the length from the inner forehead to the jaw is about 24cm. It will fit most standard sized heads and mine is kind of a snug fit. If you're head is bigger than those measurements you may have to get the helmet custom sized. Since Aniki makes his helmets to one standard size, it may cost you extra for him to make you completely custom one for you. The helmet by itself will run you a pretty penny for sure.

Awesome, I told you he does take a little while to get back to you lol. Make sure you get accurate measurements for everything. My advice is to go to a professional tailor for that. It won't cost you anything and they can give you somewhat of an idea as to how well fitting your suit will be before receiving it.
As far as I know, Aniki only makes helmets from the Japanese masked hero shows. For example, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Gokaiger etc. I've even looked at doing something like Ultraman or Captain Marvelous from other shows. But the King Ranger is the one I'm doing next.
Oohrah back to you man. I was stationed out in Iwakuni for a few years so I've been to Oki a few times. Red Ranger is always a good choice for a PR suit. I've talked to the Smash Doctor before, pretty cool guy. He's back in the states now last I recalled.

The breathing holes are pre drilled by Aniki above the area where the mouth is but just below the visor. I show the helmet more in detail in part 2 of my cosplay overview. Click on my main channel link and browse my videos to find it.
He isn't displaying anything in his store right now. But if you contact him by sending him a message, he will respond to you. He generally won't post any of his suits for sale unless he has a lot of interests in them.

Aniki will provide you with a measurement chart once you pay for the cosplay. It's pretty much every part of your body because you want it to fit as good as possible.
I'm not 100% sure if he makes the sword of darkness or not. He makes all kinds of props for the complete suits so he might be able to make one for you.

The dagger in this video was made by Aniki. However, I have made a similar one just slightly bigger out of Resin.

Ok, I know Aniki tends to make most of his stuff to one standard size. But once you put it all on, most of the blemishes don't really get noticed. It's mainly the fact that when the first person who see's you in a Power Ranger outfit, is the greatest reaction you'll ever receive. People literally go nuts when they see someone wearing one, it never gets old :)
That is one awesome costume, I hope to get one like this one day when I get a better paying job. I can tell you practiced those moves cuz they were really good my dude.

Yes. It's only because they became officially licensed by Saban and now Hasbro. He has to pay for royalties.

Everyone here seems to think it's cool so it's not just me. It's not a crime to have a hobby instead of being mad at the world or hating on other people for no reason. I obviously have a job otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford the suit. My job if you're wondering is serving this country in the United States Marine Corps and I'm still active duty. What do you do for a living? Next time make an educated statement and know the person first before trying to make yourself look like a tough guy.
I'm sorry you're still waiting on your suit man. It's been 4 months and I'm still waiting on my Gold Zeo suit as well unfortunately. The reason Aniki uses DHL is because it's the cheapest method to ship worldwide. If he used FEDEX or any other company, they would charge you a lot more. Once DHL has your package, they still get it to you just as fast. When they get your package, is however the question.
Yes I'm in the military, the Marines to be exact. I've been to Korea before for some training out in Yeachon or however you spell it lol. There's a ROK Air Force base there where we did some joint stuff with them. But yeah, I'm stationed in Bridgeport California and the video was in a barracks here. If you're getting a suit from Aniki, who are you gonna cosplay as? I'm sure the Korean girls will be all over you for sure when they see a Power Ranger out in public lol.
Yeah they aren't cheap by means. If you check out his Facebook page, he just recently posted pics of some new upgrades he's doing to all the original suits. Starting this month, he's incorporating hand stitched cuffs for the diamonds with real leather material. Don't know how much more he will charge, but I'm willing to bet it'll cost you a bit more to include with the suit. Sorry bro, sometimes you gotta pay to play. That's just how it is : )
When did you send him the payment? His communication is lacking only because he doesn't have many people helping to make all the commissions he has. As far as the measurements, the chart he sends may be different than what he sent me. I sent him a down payment for another PR cosplay in the middle of this month and it took him 2 weeks to respond back on it. He will get back to you soon either way, you just have to be patient. Trust me, Aniki is a legit prop maker.

I bought this costume from a gentleman named Aniki. He's on Rangerboard but he has an ebay store he operates out of. Check the other green ranger videos on my channel in the description for the link. If you're trying to acquire one in time for your party on the 15th, you're out of luck. It takes him roughly 3 months to make one depending on which one you're wanting to commission. But he does do all the Power Rangers suits for every series including Kamen Rider and the Gokiager Japanese series.
Which website are you referring to? I know of a few that do make MMPR cosplays but I don't recommend them. If you're referring to Cosplay House which I know does Power Ranger cosplays, then I wouldn't go with them. I did a ton of research on how to acquire a full cosplay and I've heard mixed reviews about them. I'm a member on Rangerboard so that's how I found out who makes great looking MMPR costumes. Just be prepared to spend quite a bit on one because they can be quite expensive.

When I bought mine, it came out to a little over $900 in total including shipping. If you send him a message through ebay inquiring how much yours will cost, he'll tell you the total including shipping. I can't promise you that you'll be paying for the same amount I did though.

The helmet is one standard size. If you are unsure of your head size, take some measurements of the circumference of your head and then from your forehead to your jaw. Send the measurements to Aniki in his eBay store as a message and he will get back to you.
Sorry it took a while to get back. It may just barely fit your head based on the measurements you have. Aniki makes his helmets to one standard size which fits most. But if you're unsure, send him the measurements and he'll let you know. He may be able to custom make a helmet for you if needed.
To answer your question, check out my other 2 videos on my channel of the Green Ranger cosplay. Overall I think I paid close to a grand for the whole thing. I just ended up saving my money for about a good 2 months before I commissioned Aniki to make it.
I've shown the suit in a bit more detail in my other videos on my channel. You can click on the link of my username and you'll find them there. And yes, the helmet does have elastic bands and they attach at the top with velcro. They work pretty well in opening and closing the helmet once you get used to them.
That's what I love about cos play, if you look bad ass in the costume, people generally don't make fun of you, instead you're like a celeb everyone wants their pic taken with you lol. Was it hard to breath in that thing?
i want to buy all the MMPR helmets from Aniki. it looks too damn cool! my head is about 23 1/5 inches circumference. do you think it will fit my head? what's your head size? if you don't mind me asking. thanks man! nice video.

That's easy, you have to take the suit off in order to do that. The shield, arm bands, gloves etc. Just the upper accessories. The glory of being a Power Ranger has it's limits I'm afraid haha.

I wouldn't recommend wearing the helmet for any kind of motorcycle riding. It's made out of fiberglass and is definitely not the safest thing. It's strictly for cosplaying or collecting porpoises only.
Probably around $300 or so. Aniki has changed the price of his helmet recently so I'm not really sure. Check around on his ebay store for exact pricing. Link is in the description.

I'm 6'1'' not sure why your shield would look wide on you though lol. I have pretty broad shoulders though so it may just be your size. Did you receive your costume already?
Thanks but I've never tried a Picollo cosplay yet. I thought about cosplaying Trunks though but I'm waiting on a friend of mine to see if he can make the boots for it.
Awesome that's great that you're mom can help out with your measurements. As far as the shipping is concerned, Aniki sends your package to his shipping agent. Aniki's philosophy is he wants to get you your product both fast and as cheap as possible. Sometimes your package won't leave Indonesia for up to 2 weeks, but sometimes it may leave after maybe 2 days of the agent receiving it. Mine shipped in 4 days and I received it 3 days later so it didn't really take that long. DHL handled mine.
Thanks, the gloves came with the suit when I bought it. But you can find a similar pair on ebay. I'm gonna buy another pair in case I have to replace them.

Yeah it can be a bit of a pain to breath out of the helmet. I've had to drill the breathing holes bigger and since then, it's been better wear.

Yeah typically it takes Aniki a bit of time to make the suits. But you'll be getting it soon. Hope you enjoy it, because they're definitely one of a kind suits.
I have the Legacy Green Ranger helmet i love it it is cool i wish to keep practicing how to do the helmet locks myself independently like they do and as for the muscle suit were can i get that and the holder to put in dragon dagger? I also have Red Ranger Legacy helmet.
Yeah, I figured I'd be perfect to dress up in a PR suit because of my size. But there's nothing that says you couldn't do it either :)
Thanks, I'm 28 and I've loved the Power Rangers since I was 13 haha. The other series that have come out after MMPR were ok but nothing beats the original series in my opinion :)

Well the costume is not something Aniki mass produces. So he has to make it all by hand and it takes at least 2 months to make.

i first paid him for a helmet.... then i decided to get the rest of the costume...and sent him the rest of the money like 45 days later and told him to ship the helmet with the rest....yeah i figured hes swamped ... i was never sure if it was one guy making these costumes in his garage or if it was a store with a staff...but his rep precedes him so i guess i can wait.. thanx i appreciate the response

The horrible karate moves were kinda fucking weird, but amazing suit!, the original is so hard to find!. I almost bought 1, except that the helmet had some ridiculous silver line in the middle. I noticed that the green ranger suit displayed that same line in that Dino Thunder episode when Tommy was in the coma
your suit and helmet look awesome! i want to have one too! but as I see it, your suit seems loose a bit especially on the waist. maybe you could get it altered by a tailor.
