Love the sewing video. Fun. I remember those beautiful cabinets with record player, radio combo. Happy you are blessed with your parents gorgeous piece.❤️
@@cedarrockcabin3633 I’m so glad Joanne! I went to my aunts funeral yesterday and we are all getting older. We sat and talked for several hours. It was nice
Kym, I am thrilled that you have a sewing project to share. I so enjoy sewing videos! I have the same iron as you. I may have seen yours a few years ago and purchased mine based on your and Ms. Gay’s recommendation. I love it and would recommend as well. Yes, it’s pricey but if you sew a lot, it is so worth the investment. Just an idea for anyone who would want a longer runner but only has a 42/43 inch WOF (width of fabric), you could add another fabric (complimentary or contrasting pattern) on each end, maybe 5 inches in Kym’s case, to make a longer runner. That being said, I love your runner and the length looks great! I could see a cute tiered tray in that area. Can’t wait to see how you style that space. Have a great day Kym!
You are such an inspiration Kym! I’m going to make a table runner!! I heard an idea from one channel that crossed my feed. She suggested putting one holiday fabric on the front and on the opposite side a different holiday. I need to go to the fabric store!!
Hi Kym, you did a really nice job on the runner, the fabric is gorgeous and I think you made the right decision not too quilt it the pumpkins are cute as they are. I enjoyed seeing your family stereo again things like that always whisk you back in time, I think the back is known as a galleried back. Anyway nice to spend some time in the sewing room again ❤ love to you Frankie and the girls Xx ❤️🐱🐔 ( Hope it gets cooler soon for you all)
@@jaynelymer6442 hi Jayne! Galleried back is likely correct so thank you! It’s been blissfully cool the last two days, and Mr. Steve and I worked several hours on all the flowerbeds! It was fun sewing again so more to come!
Cute, cute runner. The stripes would have been cute to add as a border also. Enjoyed the sewing video very much. I know what you mean about the increase in prices. I can count on my internet going up $5 every year and just got notice that the water bill will be going up 13%. Hope it all ends eventually. 😊
I’m not a sewer so you lost me. I’ve tried sewing but my machine I hate the thread bunched up rips and gets caught. I’ve cleaned it I’ve re threaded it and yes I buy the right thread. I’ve had it serviced and they say oh it’s fine sews great. No! It’s don’t sorry! No I’m not a real sewer but I know a little about mending and such. I just need a better sewing machine
If it's at the beginning, if you hold the threads at the back and pull gently a you start to sew you'll prevent the 'rat's nest'. I use 'leaders' and 'enders' when quilting, piecing.
Kim, your runner is adorable! On you parents stereo is even better!! always love your work and your home is so lovely!!
