This was an excellent video on multiple counts: 1.) it clearly demonstrated the differences between firmware versions 2.) it lulled my baby to sleep during her evening bottle.
@ Hey. Just did the update. Sounds great, but now with the new firmware when you disengage the “freeze” it stops super abruptly now. Have you noticed that?
@ you may have to change your Input settings to DSP to enable spill over. But if that doesn’t work, you can still play the same chord or sound and the reverb will carry that
@@nobesmusic I’ll double check that I still have it in dsp bypass mode. I feel like that’s not the issue because I have spillover from one preset to the next just not when I disable the freeze.
Wow all the algorithms are quite improved! And in turn they brightened them up quite a bit rather than hide them in the dark tones they had previously lol. I dunno if I like what the new Refract is doing, it sounds more like a delay effect than a glitchy reverb at times. BFR's stereo field sounds quite narrow for a big reverb...? Dunno if there's a control for that or not, interesting.
@@KYDY yes totally agree with you! Huge improvement. With Refract you can turn down the highs and make the attacks of the refractions lighter to sound more glitchy. And there is a room feature on the BFR that made it sound bigger or smaller, I didn’t go all the way so I assume that also broadens the stereo field, but I’d have to check
@nobesmusic great video! Thanks for making this! I just bought a mk1, can you change the firmware setting back to the original if you wanted to? 😊Thanks man!
@@thekramer1097 they are the same as the MK2! I think just some functionality is different. Like on the MKII you can control the octave in the shimmer more specifically
@@itZKrayyyZ for sure! I totally agree. They all actually really sound different to me. I love the Spring and Plate a lot more now. The BFR sounds bigger and the differences in the Refract and Air were huge improvements!

@@ozzwaldozzington1777 haha that is awesome, thanks so much for watching. I almost got lost a few times editing the video listening back haha
Great job bro! I want that reverb pedal now. Walrus makes incredible revert pedals. I bought the ambient pedal after one of your reviews.
@@HighLifeWorkout thanks! Yea this is a huge improvement and definitely gets into the Slöer territory a bit. It’s cool that it really does it all
This is meticulous, my friend. A well deserved like and a sub
@@awrely thank you so much! It was and a 30 minute finished video always has 2-3x more footage 😂
Gets me all excited about a pedal I already own! Gotta love it. The new algorithm’s definitely sound great! Great job on the video!
@@BourkeTommy yessir! The new update is killer! Thank you

@ ahhh I see, that makes sense. I think in this demo I also would play the next chord before stopping the previous one and then latching that
Sounds like a huge improvement on the spring, for me the jury is still out on the others, guess I’ll have to update it and find out. Great video
@@cliftonrogers3594 right?! The spring totally drips now. And yea I’d say the refract and air have the most improvements, but definitely try them out!

Superb content as usual! How long did these firmware updates take for you? They seem to be quite a bit longer than previous updates.

Maybe I'm an idiot and didnt pay attention but are this revamped versions the same as in the mk2? What's the difference besides the oled?
