Hi!! I’m a full time hospitalist and critical care PA on my feet all day for 12 hour shifts. I have two pairs of Cloves: the ABO (all black) pair which are a little over a year old and the limited edition pink holographic 2021’s that I’ve had about 9 months. I found them to be incredibly comfortable and I didn’t have any foot pain at first. In fact, my feet felt better than they had after wearing my Brooks sneakers on my 12 hour shifts.
They do crease very easily and also squeak loudly when wet, however non-slip grip is great.
I also had a problem with long strings and wind up bow-tying them to keep them from dragging on the ground.
The black pair held up well cosmetically; my pink ones look very dingy and several years old despite cleaning and wiping down fairly regularly.
Both pairs have also quickly lost their arch support after about 6-8 months and I come home with sore feet now. I am on the look out for new shoes, and think I’m going to try the Bala’a after watching your review! Hope this helps for Cloves though!

A couple things on insoles. Most shoe manufacturers don't build a lot of technoloy into the 'insole' in the shoe. In the shoe industry an insole is more commonly known as a sock liner - something nice for your foot to ride against. In most shoes the real technology is built into the midsole. Most people don't know this but the arch is held up via intrinsic foot muscles and ligaments, so strengthening the foot muscles is a good solution to building a stronger arch. Artificial arch support does not help strengthen these muscles because it's holding the foot up. Also, a lot of aftermarket insoles don't really have arch support - even the Scholls (that I've seen). If you take a scholls and press down at the arch it just collapses. Real arch support usually is found in rigid orthotics. Anwyay. Keep on rockin'!

I wore my pink Cloves & my waterproof dansko clogs through my last 4 1/2 months of outdoor Covid vaccine clinic. We were in all weather. I loved my Cloves. Super comfortable. I tucked in the strings. Just looped them in. The only thing I didn't like was the bottom of the shoes because they have grooves which caught mud & dirt & did not come out when I washed them in the washing machine. I then had to use an old tooth brush to clean the bottom of packed in mud. They were fully water resistant in the rain. We have finished our Covid clinic & I'm in training as a work from home utilization management nurse. The pink Cloves worked well for me, but they have been tossed out.

I absolutely love my New Balance shoes. They are two years old and so comfortable. I replaced my New Balance insoles with Birkenstock insoles, and my feet never hurt.

I tried these and wanted to LOVE them but quickly ended up returning them. They were a Christmas gift to me and were ordered in my size but they were too tight, so I exchanged them to a half a size up. They have no arch support, at all!! Seems like they are made for people with flat feet! I have normal arches. I also have wide feet. My normal size was too tight but the half size up had my feet swimming in the Clove shoes which was annoying because my feet would slip out as I walked. Also they have uncomfortable pressure points that would dig into my foot. The ones I received were so squeaky!!! I hate when sneakers do that and I find it annoying to constantly have to hear my shoes make sounds as I'm walking and moving. Just while trying them out I noticed creases forming on the shoe so I can only imagine how creased it would eventually get with frequent use. I only wore them around the house to try them because I wasn't going to try out shoes outdoors then not be able to return them when those things were already bothersome. Thank you for your review!

I got these shoes for Christmas and mine got the crease on top pretty quickly as well. The shoe laces don't really bother me and I don't tighten them either but I noticed when I first tried to tighten it the laces stuck out and upwards...it looked funny. The comfort of the shoe is good for me though I have a very high arch naturally. My only issue with the shoes overall is that my feet get really hot in them.

Thanks for watching! Honestly, it all depends on what you prefer and what is compatible with your own anatomy. I know some people who love Dansko, but my feet did not do well in them. I would try on several different brands and just do your own research to make sure you like what you pick. Check out some of my other shoe review videos if you need some more ideas!

I’m nervous because I just bought the 2022 newly improved insole version in the all white. I almost bought the Snibbs because I’ve heard nothing but good things, however as a student it says “All White”. I’m not sure if the Snibbs with the black splatter bottoms are approved for school. 🧐

Hey May! Ypu may also want to look into Balas. They just came out with a white sneaker too (currently what I'm wearing).
Not sure if you saw but I'm in my 30 day review of SNIBBS right now- the all white pair. Pros and cons for sure but I personally keep going back to my Balas.

Not a fan of clove. Mine was very squeaky and after about a month my feet were KILLING me wearing them. I swapped to basic running shoes that were $50 and my feet felt better. I upgraded to adidas ultraboost a little while later and they're amazing but expensive.

So I have 2 pairs of cloves and I'm not impressed. I wore the first pair for 6 months and the soles are already wearing off and falling apart. This wouldn't be that bad if i worked 5 days a week but I only work 3 days a week. Also, after wearing a different type of nursing shoe I realized how uncomfortable the cloves are. They kind of lose color a bit, but not too bad. Considering how many shoes you can wear in a "nursing" setting, cloves are over priced and cheaply made.

My Two cents is.....BEWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES.
Something is not right with how this company is treating customers. I cannot speak to a person via phone. There is too much money being spent not to have a person help you when there is a problem.
There was a mistake I was sent the wrong shoe size. I was sent a men's shoe I am within the 30 day return exchange. I am trying to correct this and now I am being told the sale is finale so there is nothing they can do. I do not wear men's shoe size. This shoe is not useful to me. Because I bought the shoe on sale I offered to pay any up-charges on a different pair just so I am not out of a shoe and the money I already paid for them. I think this is fair as I did not make this mistake and they would get more money from me plus the men's shoes I cannot use are returned to them.
Only I’m being sent in circles with no resolve for a mistake I did not make? I’m being told to email support again. However, no one is calling me to resolve the issue. I emailed support and once again they sent me the same message, they cannot fix the issue stating the sale is final.
This is not how you treat customers.
