Hi, you should not unscrew the upper (square) black screw. The black half circle can be flipped away if you unscrew just the other screw.
Hi, that's true! When I made this video I didn't know that
😉 Thanks for the precious tip
Thanks so much I have just got nut off!!! Would never have been able to do it without this vid. I locked the saw in the down position. Sprayed with WD-40. Took hex nut out, moved cover and then put hex nut back on to hold the cover plate. I put allen key in a solid pipe from a mitre saw cymbol clamp I have (not Einhell). Then after locking got the pipe in a horizontal position so the forces are going downwards. Then hit pipe with a plastic 'Thor' mallet - CLOCKWISE but down. On about the third one the nut loosened! The trick is to do it hard but keep the forces under control. It was a sharp hit rather than a 'hail mary' blow, you can always increase. I found it came off not too bad, very tight but it can be done by leveraging the force. I hope this helps someone anyway.
Thanks for sharing with us your experience! I spent one hour taking that bolt off!
Thanks, I didn’t know about the lock pin ! 🦖
You're welcome! I know, instructions are not the best.
IT.
Excellent! Excactly what i needed. Very clear
Thanks! 😊
Omg this saved me hours!
you cannot imagine how hard to figure out yourself to change your blade. thanks RiKonstruction
😂😂
@@RiccardoPrezioso How did you get the retaining nut off in the end? I have already broken tools on it!
@@graememcgregor8407 I used WD-40, heat and a lot of strength. You have to turn in clockwise to unlock
@@RiccardoPrezioso Thanks. I actually found in the end that you have to turn it clockwise, ie as if you are tightening the screw. It is reverse threaded, presumably to not losen when spinning at 4500rpm!
@@graememcgregor8407 yep correct mate,😉
Verry helpful!!! Many thanks
You're welcome 🙂
Very Cool vid and informative.
Thanks!
Thank you.
hey are you still monitoring this channel by any chance Ive just bought the einhell cordless saw i love it but wanna change the blade and i dont know which one to buy im cutting mainly plywood and ive heard an 80 teeth blade would be a good bet
would a bosch saxon or a makita blade fit this saw?
could you please give me some info on which blade to buy I would be very grateful for some expert advice as I dont want to mess up the saw
hey thanks
Hi, yes I'm here!
I suggest you to take of the old blade and check the specifics. If you cut wood 80 teeth could be good.
It's a standard blade, 210mm diam and 30mm diam of the hole. More teeth you have better you will cut hard materials.
Any ideas, each time I now try and pull the saw blade down to the cut position the clear plastic blade guard only seems to go up half way and some kind of black thin metal sliding guide within the blade casing gets jammed against the back plastic protection guard that is screwed to the silver blade casing, Blade will not go down any further.
Maybe there is some issue in the guard mechanism. It's difficult to explain how, but you should take off all the mechanism and reassemble it back.
@@RiccardoPrezioso Will try that and see what happens. Thankyou
@@stanleymascarenhas4434 How did you make out? I have the same problem...
thanks a loooooot
I unscrew the "do not unscrew" bolt (0:12) any advice?
It's really really difficult now. You have to put all those piece together. When I unscrew it I remember I've been lucky. I kept all the parts together and rescrewed it again.
Sorry, but you have try and retry and again
Anyone know how to replace the guard as mine has broken?
Hi, you can buy the piece you need here:
www.einhell-service.com/shop_de/ersatzteile/stationaergeraete/stationaere-saegen/kapp-gehrungssaege/th-sm-2131-dual-1.html
To replace the guard you just need to unscrew two screws on the left of the saw. There are no tutorial on line, you have to deassamble and reassamble the new one.
I have one that is really loud (and quite high pitched) and stops when I try and cut wood. It starts to cut in and then just stops. Wondered if anyone had the same issue? Trying to dismantle mine and cannot get that screw to budge.
The saw should not stop while cutting wood. Try to contact einhell and axplain the problem. Mine is loud too but it works good ;)
@@RiccardoPrezioso Thanks. Yeah i sent them an email on their site. I'm tryginto get teh blade off and strip the motor apart as it start to cut and then the blade just stops,
@@stevebell1191 onestly I don't know what the problem can be! :/
Could possibly be the blade in the wrong way round. Noticed on my new blade the writing is on a different side to the one fitted
Can I buy a metal cutting disc for my wood cap saw?
I want to make an aluminium balustrade?
That was supposed to be a wood chop saw.
@@stuartbrown8367 hi, yes you can use a disc with much more teeth and cut little aluminum pieces. But I sincerely don't recommend it.
Quindi sviti girando a destra! È dannatamente bloccato però.
@@RiccardoPreziosome ne sono accorto purtroppo...
Hello, i have de same and the blade vibrate a lot, its normal?
Hi. Check if the blade is mounted properly. If it's ok and it still vibrates try to contact einhell for changing the entire product. Keep safe😉
@@RiccardoPrezioso thanks very much for the info i check the miter saw blade
Let me know and write if you need😉
do you still have this saw? How has it lasted? Is it still a good saw? How is the dust collector working? I am thinking of buying this. I live in Colombia and warranty service will be almost impossible. Thanks
Hi, good entry level saw. It works well today after 4 years of sporadic hobby use. I've modified the dust collector and it works well if attached to a vacuum cleaner. I recommend it for the low price, but it's not a professional saw
@@RiccardoPrezioso Thanks so much. I am on a very limited budget. I make small stuff for a hobby. But I need the telescoping feature. Even a 10" non-sliding doesn't cut an 8" wide board. I only use it for maybe 3-4 hrs a week. I am going to try to make your dust collection modification. I can buy this saw in Colombia for about half of a non-sliding Stanley and 1/3 the price of a Stanley Sliding version. In Colombia, the Bauker brand is fairly popular, but I saw one in a local store and I has a lot of plastic parts and the display model was broken. Plus it is double the price. Thanks again. Great videos. I will keep watching to see if you do a follow up on it after yrs of use
Great saw. I got mine 4 years ago no trouble with it.
I make furniture so cuts have to be accurate and Einhell not let me down yet
Sehr gutes Video !
Hi but i need help. I cant unscrew it its too hard. I cant do it. Yoe use something to help you to unscrew. I am from chile. Thank you
Hi, first of all make sure you are unscrewing ( like in the video). If you So my suggestion is. Try using some wd-40, if not use a metal pipe to extend your 6mm ex-kye, if not use an heatgun or a lighter to warm up the bolt. It is very hard, try asking to your friends for some "physical help". It should work.
@@RiccardoPrezioso thanks! the tip with the lighter worked for me (and a hammer xD)
Ahahah Happy to know it. The hammer ever helps 😂
lol wd40 and heat in the background..had to use the same thing... almost fkd up the allen head. that thing is in there TIGHT!
Lol. That is way the blade tights itself just cutting. 😅
What size is the flange bolt please
Wich One Man ? Tell me more pls
It's the bolt that locks the blade I know its 6mm but what length thanks
@@fredbarker1602 yes it’s 6mm (M6) left thread. It should be 20mm.
@@RiccardoPrezioso great thanks for that
:) for EVERY saw you loosen the blade screw the direction it runs
Yes, you're right!🤣🤣 It want not move.
No need to unscrew the square nut
The one whit square bolt does not need to be taken off at all
Goran jelenić your're right man. I took it off 'couse it was more confortarble for screwing off the blade bolt. Thanks for the tip!
It's even more comfortable not to remove the square bolt. Unscrew the left bolt, flip the guard up. Put the screw back in and de guard will stay up for easy acces to the blade bolt.
Glad i could help :)
It doesn't Metter man! My English is bad too 😉
Damn I unscrewed the one you're not supposed to, how do I put it back together 🤦♂️
Oh damn. That's a problem 😬 try to flip backward the component and charge the spring.
If you need mail me some photos and I'll try to help you. riccardoprezioso92@yahoo.it
@@RiccardoPrezioso thanks, I should have watched the video first lol. I will find a square drive to remove the black plate and try that way. If I struggle will mail you, thanks 👍
This IS wrong Method. You need to unscrew only one Hexagon screw and pull up guard.
Yes man, you're right. I've understood it only day after I made the video😉
No dialogue not a good review at all .We might as well be all deaf.
