I was skeptical that I would come away with much for under 3 minutes, but Im blown away! Straight to the point, solid advice, confidence boosting, and displaying pivot on a dime. I'm definitely going to watch this again to prepare. Thank you!!!!
Best approach ever : "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." “ - assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract.”
I am Data Engineer. I have experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, etc. I want to switch a company for Data Engineering role only. I want to pitch for higher Payscale. So should I follow this roadmap?
Interesting that they lead with professional athletes, who get paid sums that put them out of touch with reality when compared to most people in this country.
Great advice for sure but what if after all that the person you’re speaking with replies with “I agree with your statements and we truly value you but at this point in time in order for the company to grow and be successful we need to keep the budgets we have set for each department locked in place” now granted I speaking on companies ranging from 20-50 employees.
And when companies start noticing that you don't stick with a job for very long at all, what then? They'll start to realize you have no loyalty to your work and that you arent a long term investment, strongly decreasing their opinion of you, and therefore less chance of even being able to get a job to begin with
Don't just quit and get another job because if you job hop too often, you'll stop getting job offers. Instead, make sure to get several job offers and ask your current employer if they could match that. If not, then accept the highest paying offer you. Repeat.
@@misterjay9955It’s 2021. If you have no valuable skills, say that. I’m a chef and have been job hopping yearly for 13 years and haven’t had trouble getting a new job. Your job skills and work ethic speak for themselves. An employer will never give you a 35% raise which is what I routinely get whenever I job hop. I don’t live my life in “what if” scenarios. If I did, I’d be a loser like you, and earning $15/hr less than I do now, waiting for my employer to give me a $0.40 raise yearly to keep my wage current with inflation
so I worked at a company called protech mats, one day the owner had a meeting and said any one who is in production does not get hours raises or will get them, he says it all on out output??? makes sense to any one ?? he never gives raises.wants you to make the same hourly year after year.
I followed up this speech got 18k raise and also a promise on a management position in the next 3 years 🙏🏽
This is one of the few videos that shows a role play with better options combined with strategy.
I have seen this company grow, I am very proud of the work we are doing

Why is the background soundtrack of someone having heart palpitations?
Holy fuck this made me laugh
😂😂😂 Let's not even go there please. I was terrified just watching this
It’s a recording of generic background music playing in the next room
I mean it's how we all would feel during a negotiation lol
Lol
Reinforcing the promise or growth you have witnessed at the business really helped me!
I like that approach. Put them in that corner :D I love it
I see myself helping the company to grow
Make it about them. E.g. "I see myself helping the company to grow."
Good advice if you worked anywhere for 2+ years! 👏👏
I can't believe it can be this good
This is brilliant 👏🏾👏🏾

Do you feel confident that we’re going to continue to grow ? & I am part of your plans ?

This man doesn't blink enough imo lol
I noticed that too. While it does not mean you are one, it is a common trait amongst Psychopaths lol
Where is the full video
Thank you
Does “I would like to see myself at x salary” have the same negative weight as “I want”?

Instructions unclear. I got fired and arrested..

Sounds just about right lol
This is great but absolutely not long enough. :D

I appreciate the tip about not using the words "I want" but it would have been a lot nicer to be given suggestions on what *to* say. Ijs.
We are the prime of the industry
how do you do that?
The information was useful but the music accompanying the video was nerve racking af.

the background music is way too loud.... its irritating
Background sounds make me feel irritated

Nah. Just job hop. Very rarely will a company match what another company will offer you
