- I finally get to one of my most important projects. Eddie's front window has been collecting water and now I have build a exterior cover for it by custom bending a straight 8 foot pierce of aluminum.

I like the cover because of flying rocks. 💖🌞🌵😷

Awesome thank you!
Well, that came out terrific!👍
Another great addition to Eddie. Awesome job Scott!
Thanks again!
Another job well done. Not a fan of the latch. I'm sure there are high end plastic latches that would prevent rattling that will ruin your trailer exterior and the protective covering. Possibly some kind of a gasket. Auto supply stores have hoses. Slicing alongside lengthwise and attaching it to the aluminum frame could also defuse the dust and dirt from building up underneath. Some latches also do a bit of a ratcheting. Effectively bringing a finer snuge fit.
Never ben there done that. Not all my ideas work. But you're a relentless problem solver like me.
Always a pleasure watching your bild. And enjoy the way you work through things . Hope you have another great day.
Thanks
Brilliant idea and outcome with that window cover - I see you have the market covered on clamps 😂
Almost ran out! 🤣
Thanks for the video Scott. 😁👍
Any time!
Great job!
Looks really nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
I enjoyed this project, you did a nice job of the manufacture and Install. A number of years ago in an industrial setting we were introduced to 3-M VHB tape in sample form by a 3-M rep, from the initial trials to general usage the product exceeded our expectations over mechanical fasteners, in non safety applications.
👍
Brother I wish I had your skills! Looking good!
I appreciate that
I like the obvious pride you put into this project. I have a similar desire, though I'll start with an empty enclosed trailer because my skills with water leaks ... well, it's just easier for me to start with a professionally built shell. For your covers, one thing that might give a little more strength in the spots where you taped it, is rivets? Kind of like air stream, think they use quite a few. Not sure how that would work with weather proofing though.
👍
Show us how you incorporate the latch to hold the cover up during camping. 💖🌞🌵😷
Will do!!
One can never have “too many” clamps😂😂
Nice fabrication 👍 🙏
Thanks a lot
Looks good
Nice! This would make a good method for a table top as well I was thinking of a flat surface for the tailgate and may do something similar
That would be cool!
nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
I may have missed this in a previous video but would you be willing to share how much the entire build cost.
So what did you come up with for propping it up?
We don’t use any heat to bend our aluminum, but it was 112 degrees today🤷🏻♂️🤣🥲
That’s “heat” in Canada. Lol.
