Really enjoy your videos on Terreon. My son and I just visited Terreon this past March 2022.My first time in Mexico. My mom was born in Flatonia, Texas but grew up in Terreon till age 13, at which time she returned to Texas. I just wanted to see where she grew up. We were only there 2 days so didn't see very much. My grand parents were married at La Hacienda La Concha in Terreon. Maybe you could on day do a video on that.

And one of the first things I did, was take a ride for la central Ave. Back in the 90's it was a hot spot where people used to ride in their cars with loud music and hang out with friends or get a date!! Nice. I was wishing you to go to Torreón Jardin. I didn't make the recommendation bc it seems you like to avoid those neighborhoods. I grew up in Torreón Jardin. It has never, really decline. Although, in the 80's, all the country was strike by the crisis, and TJ wasn't the exception. Also, been an old neighborhood, (and in the same time , not old enough), the first generation, started passing away. This made many houses been empty and for sale around 10 - 15 years ago. But the prices keep rising, now is more expensive (in real terms), than it use to, so wealthier people are arriving. In the mornings and in the evenings you see the neighbors walking around the lanes, sitting in the benches, it becomes lively. Neighbors know each others, talk, say hi, etc. Not that common in rich areas, were people live more within their homes.

Estos monumentos donados fueron por el Sr Collier con el objetivo de agradecer a La Comarca Lagunera el recibirlo como un Lagunero, ya que el Sr Consul llegó de Francia a Torreón a la edad de 3 años.
David, you provided the entertainment for that perrito for the day. But seriously with your epic walk in the sweltering heat you provided us with a great video showing us this affluent community which happens to be very handsome, a pleasure to walk around. In paying homage to your favorite city you really showed how attractive and interesting Torreon is of which l was not aware, l have never been there. In the previous videos those gorditas looked bodacious but what l liked the most were the burritos. The original burritos were cowboy food, a flour tortilla with beans cooked with meat in a red sauce. My mother cooked us once this combination and it was delicious, the sauce not too hot. The flour tortilla when prepared with lard is very tasty though l think l heard you say you preffered the corn tortillas. At any rate looking forward to your Mapimi video.

Torreón Jardín is a very popular spot for photo shoots and it's a bit annoying for the residents, so many try to deter people from filming or taking photographs in the neighborhood. But you didn't do anything wrong! Fimling there was completley fine
that's good to know! I can understand if someone sees me film their house but I was more pointing it at the dog. I think the guy probably saw me as he pulled out of the garage and my camera was pointing at the car for a second or two

Torreon Jardin es una colonia de los años 1960 ahi vivian los grandes empresarios de la laguna, algunos aun viven,ahi, ya con el tiempo los hijos de ellos se han mudado a otras colonias mas modernas como, el campestre la rosita y campestre montebello, donde viven alrededor de campos de golf. Hay otra colonia muy hermosa, se llaman las villas,. Algunas de ellas no te permiten el acceso.

hey it's all in the video description! Since January 2022 I have used a DJI Osmo Pocket 2. I film everything in 4k, and do minor color correction when editing (saturation and brightness only). Most shots are filmed in 30fps but I try to get some shots in 60fps to slow down when editing (like in a mercado with people walking or along a street for example). For these walkaround videos I use follow mode, for my regular style vlog videos usually FPV mode
I been in torreon once in my life 40 years ago in my way to parral..it looks so mexican middle class vibe...but like most north of Mexico..the summers are atrocious
subscribes.. my wife and i were there for months before we had to go back to usa.. i shard because i want to be there ubt the government wants me here. quite unfair. we love nieve chepo, tacos and flautas at los farolitos, juice at the bosque , cake at ninas on wednesdays and gorditas evey morning.. torreon is the bet food in exico... we were in mexico city after wards and we love torreon by far more than mexico city.. we got so sick in mexico city we are still sick.. torreon we never got sik.. and we love buying meat t zoriana and then having it cook right there.. is definetly probably will retire there.. way things are going.
David , have you talk about the water shortage in northern Mexico ? If health holds up I am thinking of retire and Durango weather or Tepic seems interesting . Medium size city or not to far from major city . Thanks for the videos .

La colonia Torreón Jardín no es la única bonita de la ciudad, también está el club Campestre la Rosita, está la colonia San Isidro, Ampliación los Ángeles, colonia las Villas, colonia el Fresno, y la de más reciente creación Residencial Senderos que está allá por el estadio TSM👌🤷♂️👍

Ahí fui bautizada y mi primera comunión. Vivía en la colonia lucio blanco,la iglesia dividía a los 🤑 de economía media trabajadora y de los ricos. Los sacerdotes DESCRIMINABAN por que hacían todo por separado y cuando los ricos tenían sus festejos eran de abundancia. Incluso mi madre fue un día por mi fe de bautismo y el sacerdote despotamente le preguntó: (traes para pagarla?) a lo cual mi madre ofendida le respondió pues claro 🤬😡🤯!!
bueno no queria pero voy a opinar es de las zonas mas priviligiadas de torreon cuando hubo mucha inseguridad tubieron el privilegio de cerrar sus calles para la prole comun con jardineras asi ya no no pueden pasar coches y asi buscar una ruta alterna ala que conocian agua no les falta atencion de seguridad menos no digo que sea injusto pero la prole no tiene la misma atencion que ellos hay otros lugares donde hay vida lo invito eduardo guerra esta cerca de alli por decir un ejemplo saludos y es la zona mas bonita torreon jardin

Decir la zona más bonita de la ciudad no lo creo hubieras ido a las villas ese fraccionamiento es el mejor de la ciudad trabaje ahí en la seguridad privada hace años 2014 y de lejos es la mejor mejor que torreón jardín y que el campestre y eso es decir mucho ya que torreón jardín y el campestre eran las mejores en los 80 y 90s pero ahora ya no.

hey it's all in the video description! Since January 2022 I have used a DJI Osmo Pocket 2. I film everything in 4k, and do minor color correction when editing (saturation and brightness only). Most shots are filmed in 30fps but I try to get some shots in 60fps to slow down when editing (like in a mercado with people walking or along a street for example). For these walkaround videos I use follow mode, for my regular style vlog videos usually FPV mode

subscribes.. my wife and i were there for months before we had to go back to usa.. i shard because i want to be there ubt the government wants me here. quite unfair.
we love nieve chepo, tacos and flautas at los farolitos, juice at the bosque , cake at ninas on wednesdays and gorditas evey morning.. torreon is the bet food in exico... we were in mexico city after wards and we love torreon by far more than mexico city.. we got so sick in mexico city we are still sick.. torreon we never got sik.. and we love buying meat t zoriana and then having it cook right there.. is definetly probably will retire there.. way things are going.
David , have you talk about the water shortage in northern Mexico ? If health holds up I am thinking of retire and Durango weather or Tepic seems interesting . Medium size city or not to far from major city . Thanks for the videos .

You need some time to write. Reality might be your motif, but there is love of where your are in your perspective. I think you're very positive. The beauty of the past. Like this upscale neighborhood in Torreon that would upend many American ideas - so pretty (or dull) so valid (or bourgeois) , so where viewers grew up (where did we?). It seems like you're looking for a place to settle down to write. You've said so. So long working online but wandering and finally thinking it's too frantic. Aww. Violins, eh?. A sax? I want to write more too. In my case it would be to show that the reason for the pretty Mexican churches is the same as the joy in the streets or in ourselves. Sorrow is so Madison Avenue. So graffiti. It sure does exist. Let's nod and down the street laugh. Faith, in other words. You have a lot to say. About your life or impressions or imaginings. I realized this week that "imagine" is a buzz word that, ironically tends to mean "what I think". I'm guilty, but I trust in the pretty Obregon cathedral that I might not have liked at one time. Las Villas, es la mejor colonia de Torreon, Torreon Jardín ya quedó muy atrás.
La colonia Torreón Jardín no es la única
bonita de la ciudad, también está el club
Campestre la Rosita, está la colonia San
Isidro, Ampliación los Ángeles, colonia
las Villas, colonia el Fresno, y la de más
reciente creación Residencial Senderos

That's the old Torreón, you should got pass Periferico, the new areas are way nicer than Torreón Jardín.

@@davidostrowski679 well, I meant residential areas like “Las Villas” or maybe around Senderos or Galerias. Something like that. If you haven’t go to “Las Villas” is a close community but walking around that area is very amazing how beautiful it is.

Ahí fui bautizada y mi primera comunión. Vivía en la colonia lucio blanco,la iglesia dividía a los 🤑 de economía media trabajadora y de los ricos. Los sacerdotes DESCRIMINABAN por que hacían todo por separado y cuando los ricos tenían sus festejos eran de abundancia. Incluso mi madre fue un día por mi fe de bautismo y el sacerdote despotamente le preguntó: (traes para pagarla?) a lo cual mi madre ofendida le respondió pues claro 🤬😡🤯!!
bueno no queria pero voy a opinar es de las zonas mas priviligiadas de torreon cuando hubo mucha inseguridad tubieron el privilegio de cerrar sus calles para la prole comun con jardineras asi ya no no pueden pasar coches y asi buscar una ruta alterna ala que conocian agua no les falta atencion de seguridad menos no digo que sea injusto pero la prole no tiene la misma atencion que ellos hay otros lugares donde hay vida lo invito eduardo guerra esta cerca de alli por decir un ejemplo saludos y es la zona mas bonita torreon jardin

Decir la zona más bonita de la ciudad no lo creo hubieras ido a las villas ese fraccionamiento es el mejor de la ciudad trabaje ahí en la seguridad privada hace años 2014 y de lejos es la mejor mejor que torreón jardín y que el campestre y eso es decir mucho ya que torreón jardín y el campestre eran las mejores en los 80 y 90s pero ahora ya no.
