Such a friendly guy, yet such a dangerous beast in the ring. Lewis was without a doubt one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. And these clips prove it.
vitali klitschko cudnt stop a very old shannon briggs and lennox smashed briggs all over the gaffe in ''his prime'' lewis is th greatest heavyweight of all time, he lost and came back harder, and retired at the top.... the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world!!!
lennox lewis in my opinion is up there with the top 3 greatest heavyweights of all time. he was absolutely fantrastic and his right hand power was astonishing
I'm glad to see we all love Lennox Lewis so much that we're fighting over whom he belongs to He belongs to the sun, he is a child of the sun, and every bit as blessed as all of you are You just have to see it.
Lennox was 37 when he fought Tyson so you could easily argue that he was past his prime too. Also, with Tyson its difficult to tell how good he really was because of all the hype that surrounded him. I'm not saying he was crap because he obviously wasn't. He had great hand speed and power and scored some spectacular knockouts. I just think that Lewis would have outboxed and outsmarted Tyson at any point in his career
Very well put together video. I enjoyed it very much. My best part was Shannon Briggs, where Lewis took a couple of good shots, stood there, grinned and then proceeded to knock him out! Classic!
Lennox Lewis is a definition of a true Boxer. If he lost or got a draw he wouldn't walk away he would finish it. He fought the greatest/dangerous and shut them down like Tyson, Ruddock, Holyfield, Tua, Bowe, and Klitchsko. Lewis shows everyone in the world that if you don't succeed, you get back up and try again and dreams will come true. That is a true definition of a Boxer. Thumbs up if you agree! :)
Agreed, Lewis was the best of his era. He fought all that were put in front of him, avenged his two defeats. Boxers can only fight what's put in front of them. If their opponenets are passed their peak then it is hardly the boxer's fault.
It's a travesty, Lennox Lewis hasn't been knighted. One of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Beat every fighter he ever faced. (avenging his 2 losses in rematches) and is the only Brit in any weight division to have over 20 fights in the USA and never lose one.
Lennox was great for his era, not so many athletes could handle stardom like he did, I don't think there's been any athlete that controlled his or her media image like Lennox...I saw him i 95 in my gym and he have me a head nod. big man
Primarily, all he needed was a gym, a good coach and his mum. The rest was pure art and ability from within. No country can teach that. Thank god he was born in London!
It comes down to what you favor - career value or peak value. At his peak, Tyson was arguably as good as anyone, but his career as a whole suffers as he never beat anyone of note, other than an undersized Michael Spinks (Holmes was past his prime when Tyson flattened him). Tyson's greatest opponents, Holyfield and Lewis, knocked him out...and they are both older than Iron Mike.
Intelligence...don't forget that. He also came back from two devastating knockouts and won the rematches. It's hard enough to come back from a KO loss, let alone come back and win against the two fighters that knocked you out. The Man was Confident, that's for sure.
JUST AMAZING TO WATCH. Thanks for the video. We went to the same school in Kitchener. My sister knows him, but I don't, I wish I could say I did. I tried not to attend as much as possible. What I do know between the Brits and Canucks we can both be inspired. I would just like for him to come out of retirment.. CHEERS
Lennox had a right hand as good as a Heavyweight version of Tommy Hearns' legendary lights out punch. Glad to see he has got into the Hall of Fame recently.
World class indeed, skilled, well executed life in boxing, he deserves this title just as the others did. Inspiration to us all. He shows us that If you really want something in life - with a passion its yours. He was there at each match to do a job, and did just that, he has made history as the worlds greatest heavey weight champ
Lennox made them look out of their prime - that's why he started a whole new breed of longer reached heavyweight giants. He was no spring chicken himself.
the way lewis did shannon briggs was wicked, def "one" of the best heavyweights ever, not just of his era. There isn't a fighter ever who wouldn't have problems with lewis, i don't think he is the best hw ever but he wud def hold his own against the best and deserves to have his name called up there amongst them all. i'm talking ali, louis, marciano, frazier, foreman right up there with them. now that he's retired i've realised how gud he really was. brilliant fighter.
Lewis, he has to be held as the best champion since Tyson in his prime. He did have a good chin but your bound to get hit eventually and those where big hits too! I never saw Ali but I can only imagine it would tke something amazing to have beaten Tyson in him prime
3:24 to 3:34 amazing! I though the heavyweight boxing industry took lewis for granted. The division only looked poor becuase lewis was so much better than everyone else
Is that true about Lewis being his sparring partner? Is there any site on the net where I can read about this?? Sounds interesting. I agree with you, and yes, I heard Foreman say this too!!
Lewis is an all time great, he didn't duck anyone, knocked out Razor Ruddock. Riddick Bowe decided he was better off throwing the WBC title in the bin than face the spanking he was gonna get. True mark of a champion to face those he lost to and put a beating on them.
@Cowardzaghe i just like how lewis controlled fights and kept most of them to his speed, showed great ability and wore his opponents down with the jab which mostley led to the inevable knockout, not as entertaining as tyson, but still an all time great in my opinion.
Such a friendly guy, yet such a dangerous beast in the ring. Lewis was without a doubt one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. And these clips prove it.
Greatest Heavyweight of his era!!! Big up Lennox!! 🇬🇧🇨🇦🇯🇲
vitali klitschko cudnt stop a very old shannon briggs and lennox smashed briggs all over the gaffe in ''his prime'' lewis is th greatest heavyweight of all time, he lost and came back harder, and retired at the top.... the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world!!!

A fully motivated and focused Lennox causes massive problems for any heavyweight from any era. Criminally underrated by so many.
I'm glad to see we all love Lennox Lewis so much that we're fighting over whom he belongs to
He belongs to the sun, he is a child of the sun, and every bit as blessed as all of you are
You just have to see it.
Lennox Lewis was a master of his craft and he had more class than any athlete i can think of.
Lewis was the last of the great heavyweights. What a fighter. What a legend. What a man
Lewis - the best of all time!!! You deserve your hall of fame recognition..respect to a bloody fine boxer!!
Lennox was 37 when he fought Tyson so you could easily argue that he was past his prime too. Also, with Tyson its difficult to tell how good he really was because of all the hype that surrounded him. lennox lewis was a legend that never got the credit he desevered. he was a great boxer with great power.

Perhaps the most underrated boxer in the last decade
Agreed, Lewis was the best of his era.
He fought all that were put in front of him, avenged his two defeats.

so calm in the ring. my personal favorite
man, bruno was a warrior, he never even went down even at the end of his fight with lewis.
Intelligence...don't forget that. He also came back from two devastating knockouts and won the rematches. It's hard enough to come back from a KO loss, let alone come back and win against the two fighters that knocked you out. The Man was Confident, that's for sure.
It's inspiring to see yardies mashin up people in the ring. Respect!
his style may not be for everyone but lennox was a class act and one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
JUST AMAZING TO WATCH. Thanks for the video. We went to the same school in Kitchener. My sister knows him, but I don't, I wish I could say I did. I tried not to attend as much as possible. great vid of a great fighter 8-)
Ha ha at :50 Rahman is like "Daddy, no!" Can't believe his corner told him to stick his arms out when Lewis threw the right hand...
i dont care what anyone thinks, lewis was the man. he could crush any boxer nowadays if he was still in his prime.
The greatest ever! Period
He beat everyone around and never took a real beating. Must be in the top three heavyweights of all time.
This man has a reach of 213cm. That's absolutely insane, considering his height.
1,96
Iron Lion Zion
Can you tell me the first song if you know?
Lennox made them look out of their prime - that's why he started a whole new breed of longer reached heavyweight giants. He was no spring chicken himself.

Lewis, he has to be held as the best champion since Tyson in his prime. He did have a good chin but your bound to get hit eventually and those where big hits too! I never saw Ali but I can only imagine it would tke something amazing to have beaten Tyson in him prime

Best knockout in HISTORY!
I had a Jamaican style "American Barber" SoTon. Used ti ❤ it.
The one, the only Lennox Lewis.
Is that true about Lewis being his sparring partner? Is there any site on the net where I can read about this?? Sounds interesting. I agree with you, and yes, I heard Foreman say this too!!
The best Eva!
Lewis is an all time great, he didn't duck anyone, knocked out Razor Ruddock. Riddick Bowe decided he was better off throwing the WBC title in the bin than face the spanking he was gonna get. True mark of a champion to face those he lost to and put a beating on them.
fooking great ass kicking times lenox. We miss ya bro!!!
We have to admit that Lewis was/is a great boxer, only a fool would doubt of this thing.
@WETOFREAK 2:45 is Bob Marley- Iron Lion Zion
not sure what the first is, James Brown though by the sounds of it
Also, the two losses he has, he came back to KO them in rematches. That's also great in my opinion.
nicely done vid.
probably one the best rights ever... awsome..
Lennox Lewis God of boxing!
class ! a legend
Agree with you, Lewis the best!
@ramber100 oh right!!....is this the only fight to ever have headbutts then?......cos i dont recall another where 1 bites the others ear off???
@Cowardzaghe i just like how lewis controlled fights and kept most of them to his speed, showed great ability and wore his opponents down with the jab which mostley led to the inevable knockout, not as entertaining as tyson, but still an all time great in my opinion.
For me he is the best heavy of all time, from a pure tec stand point. This is when boxing whas exciting (atleast heavy)
