How can a fighter who beat Holyfield(twice!!),Tyson,Klitscko,Morrison,Ruddock,Tua,Mercer and Bowe(as an amateur) not be the GOAT? Complete fighter, with heart, strong will and unmatched selfbelieve. Once in a lifetime you will see a fighter like Lewis
As far as relevant era champs...I agree, but Morrison and Golota are really more impressive wins for him..Tyson way out of prime, and a watered down Ruddock, mercer was controversial and klitchko was not really a win for either man due to how the fight ended....amatuer boxing really doesn't apply to pro boxing.Manny Stewart believed Wlad Kltchko to be the better fighter between the two,i have to agree, but at the end of the day,he used his size and skill and dominated a really competitive era longer than anyone, this puts him over ali I think as far as Greatest champ in history,he had far more competition and won against better fighters than ali did..The Tyson of 2000 would still clean house in the 70's era...but is Lewis the best?I don't think so,i do have in top 3 though, a very difficult guy to fight at 6'5 240 plus pounds when he was focused, very different from 70's when guys like a young 220 pound sloppy limited movement Foreman was the scariest guy around, and the average fighter was around 200/210 pounds.
***** Nothing controversial about the Klitckho win. There have been many fights that have been stopped due to lesser cuts.Ali for example got couple of wins on cuts(those cuts were lesser than the Klitschko cuts). Ruddock was simply caught by good shoots, and it isnt Lewis fault that Tyson was out of shape and mentaly out of it. There is no should'a,could'a,if or but in boxing. When u sign the contract to fight that means u are ready to fight.Lewis did his part in training(also was older 2-3 years than Tyson and heavier than ever),Tyson didnt and he is to be blamed. It's very unfair to take credit away from fighters that faced Tyson since his prime 80's.If he wins he is the best ever,if he losses its unfair,he was drugged, fat, slow, old etc etc. I agree only about the Mercer fight. It was very close.
Saskobest Lewis was losing the fight before it was stopped he won 2 rounds out of 6.You are wrong, you cant say b/c someone is not at their best ,it is legit...that's like saying Holmes beat ali legitamtly, does that fight count as well?i don't think so.Prime is not age,it is when you are at your peak, and lewis was still at the top of his game when he fought 240 pound Tyson, not the 218 pound version, who was much tougher/faster and committed to the sport. Its not Tysons fault he dominated the 80's,and the 90's guys didn't get that Tyson,if they had just look at some of the guys they struggled with...Morrison got lucky against Ruddock too,the same Ruddock Tyson battered twice and lost to Lewis badly after.holyfield almost got k.od by cooper and even in his prime went the distance with 40's Holmes, who himself beat prime Mercer.Tysons sparring partner k.o 'd lewis ,lewis himself had a tough fight with way past his prime tucker as well and Lewis went a full 8 rounds and hit Tyson with everything he had b/f Tyson quit. also Bowe struggled with out of prime Tubbs in a decision win and Golota gave him a beating twice, the same Golota Tyson destroyed.....I also forgot Bruno rocked Lewis and was winning that fight until he got tired in round 7/8?I find it hard to believe anyone thinks the 80's Tyson doesn't dominate the 90's either, being I gave you all the 90's top fighters who in retrospect were still not Tysons level just by those fights alone.the only thing you can really say is Tyson fought a rusty Holmes but that was a 38 year old holmes not a 42/45 year old one.And I don't see Holmes beating Tyson at any age regardless. As a matter of fact after reading my post again,im almost reluctant to say Lewis is the greatest HW of all time and give it to Tyson but I wont,b/c realistically you cant, but realistically you cant say Tyson wasn't the best HW ever on that note as well.....
***** When Holmes career is mentioned in some sports article or some kind of debate u can always see one of the highlights is beating Ali.Ali was slow with Parkinson's but its his fault he wanted the money and signed the contract.Holmes got no choice but to beat up Ali.You can beat only the fighter that is standing in front of you.If Ali somehow won that fight by some lucky KO everyone would have given him credit, its unfair to say that between 2 fighters if the one guy beats the other its fair and he is better, but if he losses against him its unfair, out of prime etc etc. Let me remind u that Tyson ducked 45year old Foreman( he admitted himself) and never faced any top tier fighter during is so called prime (the 80s),but its not his fault,he was simply the best at that time and he beat everyone that he faced.Same goes for Lewis,he beat everyone but his generation was much stronger. And so what if Klitscko won 4 out of 6 rounds? If the fight went on for at least 1-2 rounds he might have put Lewis down but he would have suffer much deeper cut and could have lost his vision=his career. And btw Klitcko took the hardest punches in the fight,Klitscko threw 3-4 good hard haymakers but Lewis throw more haymakers and 2-3 deadly uppercuts that shook Klitcsko. The rule says that if the fighter is bleeding hard and it affects his vision the judge can stop the fight which he did.Legit win. Also Tyson was a dirty fighter. He hit way too much bellow the belt, behind the head, after the ring bell, while the oponnens were down on knees, and tried to break another fighter arm(cant remember his name). He could have been disqualified couple of times but due to his name and status he wasnt.Tyson wasnt a complete fighter,he lacked good jab, heart, stamina and his chin was questionable.Lewis apart from the chin was a complete package fighter. Tyson maybe the interesting fighter but Lewis is true boxer(like Holmes,Ali,Sugar Ray,Klitscko's).
Saskobest Well i cannot argue with someone as blind..Tyson was not a complete fighter?lol..He took punches from Ruddock, wo hit harder than foreman also took punches for 10 rounds froma 230 pound douglas throughout the fight also gave you lewis hitting him for 8 rounds and Bruno hit him and couldn't k.o him, bruno had a 90% k.o record at the time..No chin? lol Not Technical?Tysons jab was also effective he even knocked down Ruddock with one, when was Tysons stamina in question? He sometimes went the distance on purpose to get rounds in..Tillis/green,tucker are perfect examples. If the fight is stopped after round7 it goes to the scorecards and is a win for klitchko, you obviously watched a different fight as Lewis was the one who was shook early in round two ,he was actually shook a few time,Lewis only had a moment in the fight.Lewis lacked CHIN,he had no defense like Tyson,"no one did" speed or power or footwork yet you claim Tyson wasn't the complete fighter?lol....Lewis struggled with a watered down Tyson, and I already disproved that Tyson didnt fight good fighters, even gave you Bruno who was beating Lewis so really have nothing more to say, your in denial, tyson would rock lewis had they fought before his prison fiasco...even Lewis admitted to avoiding Tyson b/c he wasn't ready, thats why he postponed his career and turned pro after Tyson did,he did this b/c he saw how dangerous he was and had flashbacks of getting knocked out of the ring when they first sparred in the catskills.Show me where Tyson DUCKED foreman?lol the same foreman who got lumped up by Stewart and LOST that fight...the same stewart Tyson k.od in rnd one...lol I can go on about overatted foreman but its getting boring!yes Lewis was more of a technical thinker better jab but Tysons best asset was avoiding jabs, Tyson would've cleaned his clock and landed eventually,if lewis was better he would've beat Tyson easily before round 3 and he couldn't.prime Tyson k.os him before the 10th round. .
***** Lewis one of the best Heavyweight of all times, he rules the 90's and the began of 2000's, he beat Holyfield, Klitschko, Mercer, Morisson, Rahem, Riddick Bowe was scared of him, he raped Tyson in, 3 times champions, gold medal olympics, He is a Legend and he is in the top ten of heavyweight and better than Tyson
Holy field no problem but he beat a shell if himself in Tyson. Nevertheless, I still give him his credit but we all would had love to see holyfield and Lewis fight Tyson either from '86 to '89. Then we could put sleeping dogs to bed.
@@vernonjenkins8 Lewis was a shell of himself too, he was almost 40 when he fought Tyson lol. I don’t get how people can say Tyson was past it but Lewis wasn’t.
Lennox Lewis is the Floyd Mayweather of the 90s.Hardest working athlete around, gifted, skills above anyone but wasnt popular due to his style, the fact he wasn't from America and fought america's favorite fighters(Mike and Evander)too late to be given credit for by the American press. But there are people who recognize greatness when its in front of them and i guess i am one of those people.GOAT in my book
One of the greatest of all time and seems to be a really great person - the real champion ... Thx for this vid ugly, so inspiring. Greetings from Poland ;)
I used to dislike lewis and i don't know why? watching this completely changed me. Amazing work mate, keep it up you make the best boxing tributes by FAR on youtube.
Damn I miss watching Lewis fight, brings back great memories. The fight against Bruno was brutal. Shame some boxers can't go on forever! Thanks for the video mate.
hey bro your vids just keep getting better although my fav is still your tyson motivation vid, it's funny i used to like lewis when i was young but as i got older i lost interest in him and wanted to see him get beat lol but he is a top5 hw ever thats for sure.
Man that was so amazing... thank you, Lennox is my favorite boxer and the greatest of all time! He has no fear, he just goes to goal stuff face to the enemy and win this fucking fight... just simply killed the great Mike Tyson and retired from boxing undefeated after the fight with Klitschko. Great man :)

One of the greatest heavyweights of all time. A true, classy champion. Respect.
The best heavyweight of all time
Agreed
Best ever, haters gonna hate

Sorry, I would favour Lewis at his best against anyone you mentioned in your list.
Mark Nante lmao... foreman kills him in 2 rounds, ali plays with him and prime tyson stops him
He was an exceptional, great boxer. I still don't see anyone comparing to him when he is at his best. He is great, of a style that cannot be repeated.
The best heavyweight of all time, the pride of our country England
A born fighter, a true boxer, one of the greatest on the planet, Lennox is a king no doubt
AKM THE DON I agree to this
most americans just get butt hurt over Lewis because he dismantled two of the best american heavyweights of that era in tyson and holyfield.
Lennox's era was the 90s. Tyson wasn't top 5 of that era. Mike's era was mid to late 80s.
@vernonjenkins8
Evander was a cruiserweight until late '88. Lennox won Gold against Bowe in '88 before turning pro in '89.

Id say roy jones was the mayweatherof te 90's.
Both were great. Lewis was the man. Beast of a fighter.
Lewis was nowhere near Mayweather’s level.
Top 5 Heavyweight of all time.
Greatest heavyweight of all time.
Since Lennox has retired there has not been a heavy weight as good or who can beat him. Legendary champion. Lennox 🦁 Lewis
What an incredible man and boxer. I randomly picked up his biography at my friend's one day and immediately liked him.
He makes me proud to be English. One of my favourite boxers ever along with Sonny Liston and Joe Louis. He always used to ko american chumps.
Lennox Lewis is the Greatest of all time. He is my idol. I look up to this special man. He is also my hero and role model.
in my opinion the all time greatest heavyweight....i wish he would have fought mike tyson in his prime though.
Wow, what a great video. One of the best highlights I've seen on RUclips. Great work.
My hero growing up. A rare sports personality who was a true role model. Always let his fighting do the talking and beat everyone he ever faced

If he was american he would be a lot more known, the fact he was british, held him from being a legend, same with David haye
I don't rate David haye but lewis is the best heavyweight of all time
Not true. Sonny liston and Riddick bowe are the two most underrated heavyweights ever and they're both American

I still Belive Lennox Lewis is still underrated ...
He is top 5. For me he should be in number 2. Too much heart, discipline, skill and most important... determination
A great champion! Bravo Sir!
Great video, but I cannot understand, why the fight vs. Klitschko is never mentioned anywhere
Cory Hill I wouldn't say that so easily.
Love it ! :-)
Amazing is this video
0:39 Jon Jones! I didn't know Jones trains with Lewis.
not even close to underrated
Cool, thanks
great man, best boxer in the world. Lennox Lewis
Lewis is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time and retired on top and doesn't get the credit he deserves . He was dominant for around ten years and beat every man he ever faced beating oliver Mcall in a rematch and then destroying Hasim Rahman in a rematch .
He came back from adversity, something Tyson never ever did. Lewis is the greatest heavyweight of the modern era!
thats beautiful
Lennox was the last of the Heavyweights Golden Era!
