Incredibly beautiful, majestic, wonderful birds. This young bird must learn so much and well to fly, hunt survive. May life be good for this young eagle. I read that it is the father who teacher his wonderful, precious children to fly and puts his back to the children so that stay do not crash while studying. It is so majestic, beautiful and touching. Happiness to this family of eagles. Thanks Lady Hawk❤️
Mom is an amazing huntress! Zenit is starting to look so grown up now. His head feathers are becoming a gorgeous color. Excellent work de-feathering, Zenit! Thank you, Lady Hawk!
It sure was a big foot/leg and I am still amazed that the eaglets can swallow these bones and feet and even heads!! I remember the first time I saw Elle and Melle swallow a big bone and how it was stuck in Melle's throat/crop for so many hours and he was trying to expel it! It finally made its way down to this gizzard and out but that was scary!!!
Wow, food aplenty today. I am very impressed by Mom's hunting ability. I am also truly proud and amazed at how Zenit's self feeding skills have become so impressive. I would sure love for Dad to come back to the nest before Zenit leaves on the life journey that is ahead for this marvelous eaglet. I know once fledged, their life can be rocky for some time, however I just want Zenit to always have a full crop, to thrive, and most importantly, survive.
Hi FBM - Zenit will still be with Mom and Dad after the fledge for several weeks sharpening flying skills, learning to eat prey on a branch or the ground, following them around watching them hunt! Zenit will probably see more of Dad after the fledge then right now!
@@ladyhawk Hi Ladyhawk! Thanks, that's so good to know, I want more than anything for our precious, delightful, cherished Zenit to learn everything possible before venturing out on its own. Is this different in scope or duration than the Bald Eagles? I know there is often but not always a time of thebparents continuing to feed and teach their fledglings (I'm thinking of E16 fledging, and off on his adventure he goes, bye sweet baby, while his sister sets a record for sticking around so long!😄 That was so fun!) It sounds like the Goldens get longer post-fledge support and training? Thanks for always advancing our learning, LH, you are indisputably the best, my friend🥰 TC!
@@melmasi5098 It will be interesting to see how long Zenit will stay around learning survival skills before departing on his/her journey. I know that the cam owner photographed the chick from the prior season staying in the area for a few weeks. So hopefully he will be able to give up reports after Zenit fledges! I am not sure on the actual duration as compared to bald eagle nests and as you know, that varies from nest to nest. Some of longest stays of a juvenile eagle we have seen at SWFL with E15 staying 7 months and our white tailed eagle nest in Smola with Solo staying 9.5 months long! Those are clearly not the norms as most juveniles depart about 3-4 weeks after fledging. We will see how long Zenit stays in the area this season!
I guess that the Buzzard was mantled over some rat, or cold, or rabbit, and...now, it's prey is in the eagles, it's in the eagles, and, somewhere, probably 3 starving Buzzard chicks "abandoned"...the raptor food chain...
Well it's all about getting the long leg and foot in the right position! On the second attempt Zenit swallowed the leg and foot. Through trial and error, Zenit learned how to easily swallow a leg and foot - if it had anything more than that, he would have swallowed it too. 😁😆💕❤💕 👌
Awesome mother it looks as she was smiling when she came and saw how far Zenith has eating her prey and proud of Zenith as took that leg an began to pull the meat off it she said Zenith got this
Thanks to YT, I've now seen an eagle eat a buzzard. I saw a leopard catch an eagle once. (The eagle was on the ground tangled up with a snake.) I've also seen a tiger with a dead leopard. The tiger is at the top of that food chain.
Hi ExEssex wow that was one unfortunate circumstance for the eagle! I remember I was watching live on the Wild Earth cam in Africa and saw a young lion cub come to the edge of the water to get a drink and a crocodile grabbed him and took him under. The other siblings and Mom were in shock.
Humans with 2 months: just milk. Eagles with 2 months: swallow an entire raw leg with feathers, bones and claw. Thanks the evolution for our brains, because we are so weak...
Interesting observation! The eaglets must grow up fast each season or else the eagles would never be able to keep up perpetuating and increasing the species! Can you imagine if the parents had to wean their eaglets for years? lol
@@ladyhawk We got a view of that last year in SWFL when 18 couldn't leave home. Poor Harriet and 15 had to be worn out but they continued to care for her even though they had to postpone vacation for a bit. This behavior blew away another misconception which ranges from pushing their babies out of the nest to fly to not feeding them so they will strike out on their own. Cams show us behaviors we would never have known about.❤
I think it's amazing Lady Hawk that you can almost always figure out what's delivered for meals in all of these cam nests! Also Zenit is one noisy eaglet! I was surprised for the relative silence in the start of the video but then the chorus began!😁
Chicken bone can be get soft with the acid in our stomach but will not be completely digested if not broken or chewed. But I don’t know about those claws.
The wingspan on Zenit is growing more impressive by the moment! Good job, Mom on everything you do! Would love to see more of Dad--speaking of him, it’s weird how Dad is the one whose “spooked” Meanwhile, Mom had to “grow a pair” ignore the camera installment, tend to Zenit and hope for the best! She is truly amazing🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
idk why its prolly bc the bird crys more then anything but i hate this bird lol its such a little spoiled wont do shit for itsself bird i can not wait until the mom leaves

Thank you!! Zenit is still in the area - I heard his vocals a couple of days ago close to the nest!! I wish him a long safe life!! ♥
@@ladyhawk It good for me to know that. I wish him too. Thank you again Lady Hawk
She is getting huge!! And beautiful! I hope she stays close by the nest area as it seems bountiful, and it would be wonderful to continue seeing her.

That is one smart baby.
Watching that claw go down was incredible! Mom has done a wonderful job and Zenit is so amazing! Nature takes my breath away!
Well said Nicole!! Breathtaking to me too!!!
LOL mommy spooked Zenit big time on her arrival !!!
Amazing Eaglet -that was a big leg/foot to swallow and she still had room for more! thanks LH.

I love how he screams for so long (OK squabbles) when he could have been eating.. haha
Remind you of your wife huh! I know the feeling
Zenit boy or girl ? Thanks LH growing so fast✌️❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Stephanie we don't know Zenit's gender!! It is harder to guess when there is just one eaglet on the nest!
Ok thank you for your response it’s fascinating at this age✌️LH
Mommy the best and great love zenit very much come and feeding her lovely 🙏🙏💖💖🌹🌹
Visiting Romania! Love it! Thank you Lady Hawk!
Wow, so instinct must be a factor in deciding whether to swallow tat leg, I was worried, but I know these amazing birds cope ???
Thank you Lady Hawk for another amazing video ! Do the Golden Eagles typically only have 1 chick to care for ?
Zenit, well done !
omg does the eaglet can break down even a big foot like that? Can humans shallow say a chicken bone and our stomach can break it down too?
Yes, but not recommended at all
Sharp edges can puncture human intestines.

Exactly Silvana! Mom had years of experience eating bones and she seems to get it right the first try (most of the time!) Zenit is a quick study!!
Awesome mother it looks as she was smiling when she came and saw how far Zenith has eating her prey and proud of Zenith as took that leg an began to pull the meat off it she said Zenith got this
Great observation Terry! I saw that too and thought Mom must be very pleased with Zenit!!
The golden eagle is the undisputed king of birds. That is why it preys on hawks, falcons, goshawks, and even wolves.
Yes it is!!
@Edward Roberts Only in videos, they're remarkable aren't they!
Preys on Wolves? No! Bird is not going through risk death when there are easier targets
The Golden Eagle may be many things, but African Crowned Eagle and Harp Eagles are stronger.

Heard the same stuff said about bears, but a crossbow, nevermind other stuff, will dismantle your hipothesys.

How in the world did it pass that leg out? I thought it was going to choke on it. Amazing nature!

Zenit is more quiet than before when h/she is alone
It can swallow big chunks of bone. Looks like that leg he swallowed has sharp nails too👍
Yes amazing the size of these bones they swallow!!!
Nice self feed😄😄😄😄🙏
Chicken bone can be get soft with the acid in our stomach but will not be completely digested if not broken or chewed. But I don’t know about those claws.
Carnivorous birds (and cats) have a rather nasty acid in the stomach....
Top videos bro
She’s happy getting a big meal parents the best she’s getting bigger healthy and gorgeous 🙏♥️🦅💫💫💫💫💫
after fledgling for how many days the parents feed the chik outside the nest.plse.
Just wondering they don't get choke with those big bones. Good job Zenith keep growing strong❤
How long does it take to digest that leg and thigh bone, mom looks very healthy and big strong legs
It usually takes about 24 hours to digest a bone - the eaglet will also cast a pellet the next day with all those feathers and bones!
Thankyou
Howzat Foot taste?
Can it eat that entire large leg bone without any problems? I’m shocked
I'm surprised the claw didn't cause irritation down the throat. It will take a while to digest all of that.

Ele foi embora viver a vida?
Good girl your growing up
The food looks like a young bird of prey.
What do they eat? A hawk?
They ate a Buteo Buteo common buzzard adult. Looks like the female. Here is a link on them: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_buzzard
@@ladyhawk OK. Thanks lot
Wow, I didn't know they can swallow big piece like that, besides that look like the remains of a hawk or a small eagle.
Good job
Once momy flies away, baby stops crying.
I love Zenit.
Ha ha, she was sleeping and mom's coming home gave her a good scare and it took 3 full minutes for her to calm down.
Cái chân kia móng sắc nhọn quá. Chắc cũng là xác một một loại chim săn mồi. Giống xác chim ưng.

the chik claims the whole lot of prey for herself, don't want to share.

I close my eyes and I could hear my ex wife Yap yap yap the baby chick must be a female
How in the world does that leg bone attached to a talloned foot even fit in Zenit's crop? It was about a foot long maybe longer! 🙄🤍
It was quite big! I am always amazed at how these bones go down their throat!!
