    I loved the ending when you showed that Kareem's Table was better than both Lebron and Michael's combined.

    • @absentdata

      You can use the Split Column feature. This will create columns based on your split.

    Hi! I have a data model in PowerBI but am getting errors on some excel files because they contain extra columns. My client said some files have a couple more coilmns because they started collecting additional data over the past couple of years. How do I get the data model to match up the various columns that are in different positionsaand also allow for the additional columns to show up for the newer files? (Note: There is one excel file per week per year for 7+ years, so I don't want to have to do any manual edits to these excel files. Each Excel file has one table. All the tables are named the same, e.g. "VAorders".

      If you are appending tables. Your columns name have to match. The order should not prevent you from appending the tables. If column exist outside of the append there could be issues. Appending is generally done to add new data to an existing table with static columns. You may need to create a data model that references a dimension and filters the data from these tables. This is just an assumption based on the limited information given.

    Great video keeping it simple. I have many sheets to append and I want a column of sheet name in append table...What is the easy way, I can't just add custom column to each sheet?

    • @absentdata

    For 2 Big Tables working ??? What is limits ?

    • @absentdata
      @absentdata  4 года назад

      I believe a single table has a limit of 1GB. Appending any tables would be limited to this size.
