I've only been using Power BI for 2 weeks and I find myself using your videos more than anything - thanks for all your help and keep up the great work!
FYI, anyone using the APR 2018 or newer version: Bookmarks are enabled by default. Simply ensure that they are toggled ON from the VIEW menu :) No need to go to the OPTIONs section. TY! Great video!
I work with data for my company and always struggle with the visualization aspect. They always want to see dumbed down charts AND raw data on the same screen and it ends up creating an overly busy and complex page view. This is the perfect solution. THANK YOU!!!
Brilliant solution to a problem I was facing with a report. I needed to show similar data but from 2 different viewpoint. Revenue and EBIT, but used the same slicers and similar filters but they needed to switch pages to get to the other viewpoint. This solves it so elegantly... Great stuff!
Patrick, you just made my day !! I love your videos (both yours' and Adam's) but this one is really a subtle and huge trick! THANK YOU! And thank you Tonia :)
Thank you! First time I really understood what bookmarks are . And on top of that, your form of information is so flowing and cool, it's just fun to learn about Bookmark !
All your videos are amazing!! Wish you’d tour London so we could meet you in the flesh - just so we can thank you these personally !! Great work keep it going.
Brilliant ! I found this video coming from another question: "how can I predefine a number of page filter settings and save them under a selection button so the user clicking the button gets these exact filters set". It seems like bookmarks (which I did not know off before) does the trick ! Thanks for the clear explanation Patrick
This is just great! I recently found put that bookmark feature and i saw some examples with a navigation page inside of the report page where you may simply click on that and it changes all the view 😎 like creating an app inside a report
Thank you for the video. I've been binge watching your channel for some time now. Was wondering if you could help me figure out how this can work along with a slicer bookmark if you had one in the same report. I.e. how would you manage which visuals to keep and hide. It would be a great help with my work. Thanks :)
Great and just what I was looking for. However, as many others have stated, it's a pity that the 'bookmarks' functionality does not offer facility to retain previously applier slicers.
first of all, thank you SO MUCH for this channel! Secondly, wouldn't hiding the tabs make more sense if you were looking to make some changes to the visuals later on? How else would you find them?
This is really useful! Question- Is there a way to select a segment in one visualization then toggle to the other and it be pre-filtered from the selection is the first visualization? I figure I could create multiple bookmarks to do this for each selection, however that would potentially be too much to manage.
Great video and great new features! Perhaps the logical next step is to link the visibility of visuals to user roles? Instead of having versions of a report for different management levels, you could have one report that automatically filters the visuals to different levels of management e.g. the strategic map of all areas for the CEO and the detailed list of staff in a team for a line manager.
Hi Patrick, Thanks for showing how the bookmarks work and linking it to an image. But I wonder how do I link a bookmark to a slicer instead? To be precise I have requirement when a certain company is picked from the slicer, that corresponding company's logo should appear on the dashboard.
Hi Patrick, Many thanks for this video. It was really helpfull for me. My question is: How we can use the options "Display", "Data", "Select Visuals" that appear when you click on "three points" of every bookmark? Regards.
When I read that I thought it wasn't a great function. But now with your example I think it's very useful and with a lot of potencial for other applications like changing quickly between dimensiones or like you used it chaning between graphics and tables. Many thanks bro!! Greetings from Chile !
I’ve been self-learning power bi for about a year and I have and these videos have helped my development a lot. As I get more creative, I want to know where can I get images such as this toggle button? This seems like a rookie question but this will bring my dashboards to another level
HI Patrick, worked great for me thanks a mil! question - if I’m Bookmarking a Tab, which basically is a tabular view of my report.Do the Bookmarks automatically update / refresh when new data is added to the model? or when the model is refreshed? let me know Thanks
Hi Patrick, Love this feature and been using it a lot. I've added 3 buttons (with a greyed out version in behind, so 6 in total) linking to 3 different bookmarks. However when I change the visual position manually (X and Y Positions) it reverts to it's previous position when i click through each bookmark
Great video!! Just wondering, how to do this based on your selection from a slicer? So when I select an option (just 1 is allowed) how to show different text field for example? Can't find a link option on a slicer.
This is great. Thank you. How Do you switch from one bookmark to the other by simply clicking on the image? In my case, when I click on one of the images the other one either disappeared or remains hidden underneath the other one, making impossible to move from one bookmark to the other one through the image.
Great trick! Got my toggle button working on my PBI desktop, but it's not working on the dashboard on PBI online service. Do I have to enable anything online in order to make it work? Thanks!
I love the concept but I'm running into a challenge. Bookmarks change all the filters so if I have applied some filters and want those to remain the same... how can I toggle between charts like you do in the video but only have the button impact the two charts being hidden and revealed? Thanks for your help. great video.
Hi Patrick, can we set the image / visual / table by RLS (Row Level Security) ? so the user doesn't have to click the toggle button like in this video, but based on his/her role, example: user A see a table version, and the user B see the visual version.
Hey Patrick. This is brilliant and i would like to try in my report. I want to know if there is a way for me to attach 2 matrix on the same page where selected row in matrix one drill down to Matrix 2.
I've only been using Power BI for 2 weeks and I find myself using your videos more than anything - thanks for all your help and keep up the great work!
Great to hear! Welcome to the Power BI community 👊
FYI, anyone using the APR 2018 or newer version: Bookmarks are enabled by default. Simply ensure that they are toggled ON from the VIEW menu :) No need to go to the OPTIONs section. TY! Great video!
Thanks for bringing that up! It GA'd so it is on by default and no longer a preview feature.
I work with data for my company and always struggle with the visualization aspect. They always want to see dumbed down charts AND raw data on the same screen and it ends up creating an overly busy and complex page view. This is the perfect solution. THANK YOU!!!

Patrick, you are passionate and enthusiastic. You have such high energy. I admire that. I appreciate the show-and-tell. Thanks.
Much appreciated! That means a lot! 👊
InstaBlaster...
Thank you! First time I really understood what bookmarks are .
And on top of that, your form of information is so flowing and cool, it's just fun to learn about Bookmark !
Opens up so many possibilities I hadn't considered before... Genius
Really enjoyable video and got me to do what I wanted to. Thank you for spending the time to prepare and share it! Really liked your enthusiasm!
It is such a great feature that I cannot wait to try it! Thanks for this lesson
Lifesaver Patrick. Thanks for sharing and making it easy to understand.
i have started learning bi and have reached the visualisation mark.. and must say this is just a brilliant idea
You just blew my mind apart, this is awesome!!!
With these options we are opened to an infinity world of data visualization within Power Bi. Thanks for sharing
Yes! Tons of possibilities with this.
Thank you for this. It was perfect for what I needed to do. Love your energy too!
Wonderful speaker, super clear, very charismatic
Patrick - This is cool...thanks for the demo on this feature.
This is brilliant!! Wish I could like the video twice :D
Awww thank you! Much appreciated Yasha 👊
Love it! Added it myself in a dashboard, Hope my client likes the idea for a possible addition to the dashboard.
Amazing, love your videos and the way you explain..
I just loved that BA'AM at the end .. honestly when ever u say BA'AM it works like a charm 😍
Great and helpful video! Thank you Patrick!
All your videos are amazing!! Wish you’d tour London so we could meet you in the flesh - just so we can thank you these personally !! Great work keep it going.
Just used this to solve a problem at work. Brilliant
Woot! Love it!
This is exactly what I needed.
Thank you!

Been using bookmarks with buttons. But graphics links to bookmarks? Very cool man! Thank you.

This is brilliant man! Thank you so much!
Really cool! Thanks Patrick!

Nice! My implementation is slick. Thanks, GIAC!
This is Brilliant Patrick.
Great video! There is a situation where this will help a ton!
Thanks Mark! 👊
great idea Tanya thanks and of course Patrick thanks you too.
Really cool and well explained!
Interesting & implemented - Thank you

Nice video Patrick, thanks for sharing :)
Jesus! I been missing out !!! thanks Patrick !!
Great and just what I was looking for.

You should do this for a living, you are great sir. Much love.

Great explanation. Anywhere we can find the toggling images?
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for showing how the bookmarks work and linking it to an image. But I wonder how do I link a bookmark to a slicer instead? To be precise I have requirement when a certain company is picked from the slicer, that corresponding company's logo should appear on the dashboard.

Great 😊 Thank you...
Crazy awesome! Congrats and thanks bro!
Thank you! Thanks for watching also! 👊
Coooollllll.... good to see this idea.. will be using it tomorrow.
Thanks for this nice video, one question will be possible to activate/deactivate bookmarks using selection in table or by slicer?
Hi Patrick,
Awesome video..
How to set the default screen whenever its loaded or drilled through from other screen
This in insanely good bro.. Hats off to the creator.. Innovative one.. Cool
Thanks Pranay!
Great idea can't wait to use it in my reports
Awesome!

Google?
This helped me today. Thank you!
But I didn't find the LINK in the latest PowerBI, do you know where is that?
HI Patrick,
worked great for me thanks a mil!

Interesting. If you changed position after the bookmarks were made, you would need to update the existing bookmarks to reflect the change.
Outstanding!, thank you!
Awesome patrick .Impressive

Can't find a link option on a slicer.
Excellent solutions
got it to work....you have to select all the visuals (hidden or not) before you update the bookmark
best explanation EVER
Thank you so much for making such wonderfull content
Hi,
Is it possible to see in the next videos some ideas of how integrate powerbi with flow?
Found the previous video about it pretty interesting.
This is awesome!!!
Great solution. Ho we can do switching data
with slicer instead of images?
Thanks a lot. I got some Questions you might help with. How does cashing with huge amounts of data work in Power BI? Thanks
This is great. Thank you. How Do you switch from one bookmark to the other by simply clicking on the image? In my case, when I click on one of the images the other one either disappeared or remains hidden underneath the other one, making impossible to move from one bookmark to the other one through the image.
Wow!!! Thank you, very helpfull
Thanks for watching Julio!
I wished that PowerBI had something like Panel-Stack container like Microstrategy has. But this is a decent workaround. Thanks, mate.
love this! so creative
Thanks!! 👊
very helpful video patrick and it certainly doesnt hurt to listen it in a samuel l jacksonesque voice :D
Just Brilliant !!!! Thanks for the tip ! I'm already stealing it XD
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
Love it!! Thanks!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching 👊
Great video Patrick, please let's know where we can download the toggle images.
were the images made available?
Brilliant trick/idea
Great trick! Got my toggle button working on my PBI desktop, but it's not working on the dashboard on PBI online service. Do I have to enable anything online in order to make it work? Thanks!

This video forced me to hit subscribed. Great Logic, Thanks
Awesome to hear Romil! Thank you so much.
Hi Patrick, can we set the image / visual / table by RLS (Row Level Security) ?
so the user doesn't have to click the toggle button like in this video, but based on his/her role,
example: user A see a table version, and the user B see the visual version.
yo yo thanks for the awesome vid.
just one question - is there a way to animate the change between the toggle states?
I have been trying to do the same for three days now. thanks
Phantastic. And simple. Of course if you are doing, Patric 🙂
Great tutorial, can we have multiple tabs in Paginated Power BI report ( Power BI Report Builder) ?
Hey Patrick. This is brilliant and i would like to try in my report. I want to know if there is a way for me to attach 2 matrix on the same page where selected row in matrix one drill down to Matrix 2.
Great video!
Thanks for watching Brian!
Congratulations! I did make a similar example, but i using Mode Dark and Light
