his tour was honestly one of the best I've ever been on. The guide was so knowledgeable and personable, and really made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in history, architecture, or just wants to experience one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. It's truly an unforgettable experience

Wow 38:38 the guy actually says to the Italian guide it's too bad they didn't build the Church! In the middle of the coliseum and he says Aah we have enough churches here in Rome🤣
Hi wanderlust your travel videos are very comfortable to see. This is because of your efforts and stable walking. So thanks a lot! ❣️ By the way when you are going to Egypt.
One can only imagine the size of the economy of Rome at that time to produce a structure like the Colosseum, the brick manufacturing industry would have been immense just to produce the bricks for this structure while at the same time keeping up supply for normal pre-Colosseum demand.
Really nice tour. The guide should think about using laser pointers though to pinpoint what he is talking about. "The emperor sat over there" (with a point in that direction) was pretty vague. They make commercial laser pointers for that purpose (to point out things at a distance...not necessarily made for guided tours). Also, it would have been worth pointing out that the seating was just by class, not by cost. Today, we think of seating based on cost...where lower seats cost more money. Prohibitive cost wasn't the reason the normal citizens were seated above the rich...Gladiatorial games were almost always free to attend (food was free as well). The tour guide should have corrected you when you said "the cheap seats, just like today." There was just a clear class separation in the rights of Roman citizens and it often wasn't based on what a citizen could afford. For instance, there were bath houses that were free, but access was restricted based on social standing.
Nah, sorry. This is not a proper guided tour in coloseum. I heard one today from a professional tour guide. Way way, bigger attention to details. Highly recommend guide as the place is spectacular.
If i were a prisoner and was hiding a precious gem the size of 100 carrots it would be deep underneath the dirt a couple ft deep where they held prisoners or possibly in a brick in the wall a lot of prisoners did this before there death …that’s all they had as far as money to barter

You just saved me 60€, thank you!

He has written books about the Colosseum? awesome!
I am a homebody, but this is one place I wouldn't mind going to Rome.

Hes making it up as he goes along
Hands up baby hands up give me your love give me give me your love ... I luv this song
Hi, was the statue of Moloch at the entrance still there when you were there?
Italy 🇮🇹
I swear I feel like I'm there 😎 #rome #travel #italy
200 people needed to operate that hidden elevator to bring up the lions and tigers, aha!
these old stones tend to absorb pollution, same here with the Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, Austria.
Im going to Rome soon. Hiring a guide makes it more interesting. How much does it cost to hire a guide?
See description of the video for link to the tourguide.
How long was tour
ah you went there in june, the hiking season.
You should go to the catacomb caves next 😁 In Italy
Wow thats 2000 years old?
Hi. How did you get the tickets?
Please see the description of this video.
I like to visit roma
gladiators who fought there repeatedly wouldn't get surprised by this elevator-action any more.
It’s your time!
Welcome to Colosseum.

They have to clean it constantly to prevent it from degrading.
Been there in 2022, hot as hell.
Todds and Fendi spent millions to clean it? I didn't know that. Now I see these brands in a different light.

Video not in HDR.
Thank you for this wonderful tour. Very educational. Sadly, early Christian people were killed by wild animals here.
👍👍
80.000 people visiting daily? geez
*cries*
I wish I was a Roman Emperor so I could throw tourists wearing shorts & backpacks to the lions.
Nah, sorry. This is not a proper guided tour in coloseum. I heard one today from a professional tour guide. Way way, bigger attention to details. Highly recommend guide as the place is spectacular.
You made me save a lot of money.... thanks.... Mass tourism is one if not the worst thing that humanity has ever invented....!
they couldn't build it like this today, even if they wanted.
If i were a prisoner and was hiding a precious gem the size of 100 carrots it would be deep underneath the dirt a couple ft deep where they held prisoners or possibly in a brick in the wall a lot of prisoners did this before there death …that’s all they had as far as money to barter
This video gives me JoJo vibes
great video.....except for all the people still wearing face diapers outside....amazing
It is a great propaganda building, he put it nicely that way! 😁
