I said at the beginning that this was open for 2 or 3 months, turns out it was open only 3 weeks ago, on Moscow City Day. A lot of the towns and sets were closed off for filming. It's an active studio after all.

The Finnish economy is still in recession. Gross domestic product (GDP) has declined almost continuously since mid-2022. Growth in Finland’s export markets is slow, and higher prices and interest rates are weighing on private consumption and investment. Residential construction is particularly weak. Employment has remained robust in relation to the economic conditions, and inflation has also slowed substantially. The recession has reached its lowest point, and a gradual recovery is expected to begin towards the end of 2024.

The Bank of Finland’s interim forecast[1] is based on data available on 14 March 2024, and on assumptions updated on 12 February 2024 regarding changes in Finland’s external operating environment and key financial market variables in the immediate years ahead.[2]

Forecast in brief
The Finnish economy has not yet recovered from its recession. Exports, consumption and private investment are performing weakly, and only public final consumption expenditure has increased. According to this March 2024 interim forecast made by the Bank of Finland, GDP will contract by 0.5% this year, which is slightly more than forecast in December 2023.

I know Russia has been planning numerous theme parks and similar parks in recent times.
I did read about it wanting to build one, but that was from an old article. There is more than enough space to do one there.
I really like some of the Russian SiFi movies - they make you think.

The majority of the USSR movies are intellectual. On top of it they have made many excellent movies based on foreign lterature. For example, Soviet Sherlock Holmes series are considered the best in the world. (That is what the Queen said about soviet Sherlock Holmes)
I love bad alien moveis. I love all movies. No, I love all movies that don't push an agenda. BTW - you might not agree with me - both American and former Soviet movies have /had their agendas. Present day Russian movies - don't. Just a director's vision. No current series are trying to push anything eitehr.

Puedes ver sus videos con subtitulos en Espanol, asi puedes entendelo todo. Ve al simbolo de "setting", la tuerca debajo de la pantalla a la mano derecha, oprimelo, te va a salir varias ofertas, escoje la palabra "subtitles", oprimela, busca la palabra "Spanish" y oprimela, automaticamente te van a salir los subtitulos en Espanol. Esto lo puedes hacer con cualquier idioma, asi sea un video en Ruso, lo puedes subtitular en Castellano. Espero este te sirva en el futuro.

Nice studios. So this is not Mosfilm which is one of the old legendary studios which produced many Soviet masterpieces? The wild West set looks nice. I imagine those name plates on shops will be replaced by completely different names as per requirements of each individual production. I guess they just leave something when this set is not used. I don't know if Mosfilm has open days, but this one is a real legend. Worth a visit there. I'd be keen to check out specifically Mosfilm sets. Also there's Lenfilm (which is now in St Petersburgh). There are other studios, but these two Mosfilm and Lenfilm are major sets which basically used to be work-horse sets of Soviet Hollywood equivalent.
It's is Moskino Park, but not Mosfilm Studio. Mosfilm has its own permanent outdoor set (called "Old Moscow"), built twenty years ago. But the area there is smaller than here.

Я всегда относился крайне негативно к любому кино снятому в России. За последний год, с женой решили посмотреть сериал российский, мол давай рискнем, все равно уже нечего смотреть. Так вот, мы открыли для себя удивительный мир! В российском кино и сериалов можно найти очень много реально прекрасных сюжетов, а главное, качество съёмки и мастерство аткеров на высшем уровне! Так что дорогие россияне, не бойтесь и начните смотреть отечествонное кино, вы будете приятно удивлены.
Кстати недавно смотрели казахский сериал, мошенники называется, тоже на одном дыхание.

They likely are trying to attract foreign/Hollywood movies being made in Russia. Hence the western town set. The same was done in Canada and now Canada is where many Hollywood movies are made.

While nowadays it can be useful for any genre, from sci-fi to historian.
As example few month ago I watched short series "GDR", it is spy drama about the last days of Eastern Germany and Stasi, how they search CIA’s mole in KGB. In some scenes they demonstrate process of creation of "westerns" movie (producers and actors is good cover for spies and couriers; in series KGB use it as own cover).
There are no any relations among US and Russia nowadays, what you said impossibly to imagine. US immediately cancel anyone famous who works with Russia)

Soon as relations with Russia improves, when they can, they could look to Russia too. I have watched many Russian movies myself,often subtitled, I have not seen any westerns but ok, works for me. @@DimitryrubyRUS The thing is that the Lord of the Rings was not filmed in Hollywood, but in a similar studio in New Zealand, Weta Digital. The studio was created by Peter Jackson specifically for the Tolkien Tales project. It is now closed. The studio required craftsmen, workshops for making all the props, warehouses for everything, pavilions with wide capabilities and a team of digital visualizers. Not every studio can handle such a project. I repeat - it was not Hollywood, but Weta Digital.

Well, Hollywood movies don't even try to spell Russian words correctly, they just write random letters in Cyrillic. Here they made a mistake with one letter, but at least they tried to write the word respectfully to the English language, and not with random letters like "hjsdkgflsahb". 😅

Hard to imagine a movie that would be set in the old American west with Russian-speaking cowboys - or Indians.
Back in the Soviet Union, such films were made, and they were of such quality and verisimilitude that even modern Americans recognise their authenticity. If you wanted to, you could find them and appreciate them even on RUclips, you just need a desire to do so. But those films about Russia that Hollywood makes, unfortunately, have nothing to do with reality.
Look for the Soviet film "The Man from Boulevard des Capucines" here on RUclips. It has English subtitles.

Watch latest series "GDR", it is actually spy drama about events in 1989 - last days of Eastern Germany, events behind of fall of Wall, about Stasi and CIA’s mole in KGB. In it exist.. cowboys. Why so? Because making of movies is perfect cover for spies and couriers, so KGB actively use it there. And there are scenes about how studio (cover for KGB) make "westerns".

I really want to go there earlier this year to pick strawberries. But you had to be there for 6 or 7am to get picked up from the bus stop. I live about 2 hours by public transport for this place. I know it though.

It's an interactive theme park for kids - small Russian " Disney park" ... I used to go there when my kids were young. And it's free...
Cool video. It's good to show this side of the environment. But that's a little bit funny. New movie studio in the biggest country in the world. You can shoot anywhere. And if your team is up to 6 people you don't need to apply for a permission to shoot on streets. If nobody is willing to spend time and write a good story no amount of studio will help to create a good movie.

Not really. In Russia there are many film studios. Several are in Moscow. One is in Saint Petersburg and others are in many other cities.

The Russians are terrible at set making the old west town is nowhere near accurate the saloon would be placed at the junction and the water tower is never placed in the middle of the road although there is horse anchor placed but no water container for the horses itself, The wanted posters are placed on a noticeboard seperately and the town lacks a barbershop and a Physician, the town also lacks a proper Church, the town also lacks a Gun store and Saloon is too small so there should atleast be a hotel, There is also no Train platform visible, only very few western towns were built far away from Railway stations for logistical reasons, also the water tower is too small for more than 5 people, The town also lacks Postal service, also there is a huge lack of horse anchors, there is only one building with a horse anchor

One more note for you. Earlier this year, all the schoolbooks about how “bad” the Soviet Union had been, were expunged from the mandatory school program. From now on, Russian students will learn this optionally. Along with holocaust, apartheid, Nazis and US slavery. You won’t be able to use the USSR card anymore.

Конечно Российский кинематограф находится на самом дне в отличие от Советского кинематографа, но на данный момент Россия и не ставит такой задачи по конкуренции с мировыми киноделами! И в отличие от западного кинематографа в России нет насильственной пропаганды ЛГБТ и других извращений!
Уровень по сравнению с советским конечно упал, но говорить, что "на самом дне", это не корректно. Например первый в мире, и единственный на данный момент фильм снятый в космосе, это не голливудский фильм, а именно российский.
