This should be available to everyone everywhere. We deserve to die peacefully when we are ready and surrounded by love if we choose.

In order to qualify for Medical Aid in Dying, the patient has to be terminally ill with a prognosis of 6 months or less to live. These people are hopelessly ill and suffering unbearable physical and existential misery. This woman had ALS. Read up on what it is before deciding if she made a rational decision to die on her own terms. If you don't understand the horror and hopelessness of her daily life, and the pain it caused her family to witness her torture, don't judge her choice to hasten her inevitable death.

This needs to be available for every person in every state of the union. Most people do not want to die, but towards the end of life, there is no good reason to subject human beings to years and years of suffering. I have already made plans to go this route when I become terminally ill. I only wish the hardcore Christians would get out of the way and quit opposing these MAID measures in various states. If Christians do not wish to make use of MAID, they don't have to. Don't stand in the way of those who wish to have this beautiful option at the end of life.

Everyone has to go at some point. It should be legal to go on our own terms if serious pain or illness is involved

I wish my bf’s mom had that option. She had been battling many years of back and bone pain she had many disorders and disabilities and was in so much pain. She needed multiple back surgeries that kept getting infected and was in severe pain. She ended up dying from the infections with pain so for that case I wish she could have done something like this and be at peace with her son and loved ones.

Why are we allowing this to happen when better is available! True ultra high tech systems have been developed that will truly heal, without keeping people sick for profit and then letting them die, so they won't "stress the system" Shame on us. She could've had true healing and regeneration

This is suicide, just presented all nice and pretty but you can’t change what it actually is.
I pray for all those people suffering and contemplating this. I pray for this to stop

Is there no way we can help her?
She doesn't *want* to die. I get dying on her terms, but surely there has to be something anything? No... she doesn't want to die. I can see it in her face. Oh my God, please tell me that she didn't die just now and you recorded it.
I can't stand to see it in her face that she doesn't want to die. She even said that.

She may not want to die. But she knows she is anyway. And rather than deteriorate slowly and miserably, she would rather proceed to that death in peace and with love. That is her decision and her decision alone to make - nobody else's.
