    Hello, what a good job. I'm about to venture to make white cement terrazzo-style dog bowls but I have a question. What pigments can I use that are non-toxic (food grade)?

    • @BearBearCammy
      @BearBearCammy  2 года назад +1

      Yup, you can go for the food grade pigment. Mica powder for food will work too.

    The sanding is my least favorite part... what about using a electric sander? Also this is beautiful!!! You inspired me to try cement. SO far I have tried jesmonite and hydroflow but they are hard to get in the US so I will try cement

      Hi, I have tried the mini sander but it doesn’t work. The cement is too hard 🙁. I think it still the best by hand sanding because you can control the pressure.

    I tried doing the gloss finish on mine and it turned out so streaky, what do you apply the gloss sealer with to avoid streaking? I used the 2 inch brush… 🥲

    • @BearBearCammy
      @BearBearCammy  10 месяцев назад

      For brush application it's a bit challenging. You cannot put too much pressure else the brush streaking is very obvious. Have you try the sponge brush? The one with the black sponge? It might work better.

    how does this mix work using just water & cement? I mean, I'm about to start a small business over this and I'm wondering if this mix is strong enough to handle being shipped you know?? I've seen several videos where people mix cement with plaster & sand to make it lighter and stronger, but IDK.

    • @BearBearCammy
      @BearBearCammy  2 года назад

      I have no issue mixing only cement with water. I did it for my craft and even my house tiles. Never break. But I have issue with plaster mix with cement. It crack 🥲

      I also have had same problem. I made a tray out of jesmonite and it broke while I sent it to a friend. I heard if you add river sand to you concrete mix or white cement. It makes it stronger

    Hi can I use mod podge to seal? Beginner and your vids have me ready to try it :)

    • @BearBearCammy
      @BearBearCammy  2 года назад +1

      Hi, I never try mod podge before. Better go for stronger and waterproof sealant for soap dish as it may contact with water frequently. For trinket dish I think no issue. I’m glad that my video help u ☺️

    Hey!
    I used a normal varnish or sealer available in Pakistan, for my tray but it broke the trinket tray immediately (leaving cracks). Moreover, my white cement vase would always break from the top/neck during de-molding after 24 hours. Please suggest.

      White cement have a very high resistant and seldom break. Do you consider to try another brand?
