Hello friends, greetings from Brazil I appreciate your experience, here in Brazil it is difficult to obtain information about performance on TU5JP4 engines, I am building a stock engine with a turbo, how far can the factory connecting rods handle it? Here in Brazil, some say something between 180/250 hp, but it's hard to really believe it when they're not experts in these engines.
@@TurbeiroRaizz well it’s not easy to guess, especially when you talk about horsepower ratings and not boost. If you want to keep complete stock block without decompression, I would guess 0,6-0,7 Bar of boost is the limit, even with ethanol fuel ⛽️ My suggestion would be to set the engine up for the right compression ratio (regarding your boost goals), and with ethanol blends and the right ecu you can go over 200 HP ✌🏻
No, unfortunately no matching bearings are supplied. The recommendation is to remove the lugs of the standard bearings, but that is not our way. ✌🏻 80mm is definitely still safely possible with this cylinder block. 😎
Hello, Are the bearings shown in the videos customs or is it possible to buy it directly from king bearing engine shop ? Is it possible to mount this crankshaft with stock bearings or is it bad ? Thank you
Hello, the bearings in the video are custom made/machined @KingBearings, so unfortunately there is no simple way to get them. You could use several sets of stock or race bearings to get enough grooved bearings, but then you have to machine the seat to accept the different notch location, or cut the notch from the bearings. We decided the machine the bearings without groove to have the best solution. A complete stock set of oem or race bearings will end in a engine failure with an forged crankshaft pretty quick because of missing lubrication 🛢
@@SaxoRacingTeam Excuse me again ! 😅 Did you only machined the 3 "half" big end bearing we see on the video ? Are the engine side "half" big ends also machined ? I'm really sorry with my questions but I'm planning to mount this crankshaft too, and I don't want to break it because of the price
Here is the first start of this special engine:

Great stopmotion as always
Thank you 😎

Didn't they deliver the special main bearings along with the stroker crank? And from ignorance, it is safe to machine this block to 80mm bore?

Hola una consulta el arbol de levas de este motor se podria colocar al EC5 1.6 TIENE leva variable Y le quiero sacar la varieble y colocar este
Nice video.,.
Thanks mate 😎

@@SaxoRacingTeam Thank you for the answer !
Can't wait to see the dyno numbers for this engine 😁
@@ApokalypsSound yes hopefully there are some numbers soon. 😄

@@ApokalypsSound both sides so that you get a complete circular notch. Like the other stock bearings ✌🏻
Curiosità.. è la pompa olio originale? Vorrei sostituirla.. con una nuova.. quale marca mi consigli?
Sì, in questo caso è la pompa dell'olio originale. Sufficiente per il nostro obiettivo di velocità.
