This actually looks pretty good and fun to play. Might try it.
I will try to give my critique over the game based on my first impressions:
- Enemies are way too low quality, some of them merely being a dot. This makes them hard to differentiate from one another. I would definetely invest more time and effort in trying to improve their design, to keep it more simplistic, yet recognisable. Not knowing what you are dealing with could really be frustrating and kill the joy of the game.
- Towers on the other hand are wayyyy too oversimplified and it feels like you are using only 1 type of tower. The art department really needs a raise when it comes to making a tower feel unique from the rest.
- The gameplay loop is one of the best parts. It feels fresh, the stages look great and appealing to look at without anything too spectacular going on to draw your attention out of the enemy waves.
- The upgrade tree looks neat and I generally have nothing negative to say about it (if there arent RNG upgrades of course).
- Bosses feel unique and seem to be gimmicky, which I find to be a great thing
TL:DR Towers and enemies could use more polish to make them feel more easily recongisable. Otherwise the game feels fresh and could proove to be a cool experience during one's first playthrough.

Agree with you. Cool art, flawless execution, chilly gameplay. I was a fun of KR when first 2 games arrived. Sad, that they do not experiment with new features in later versions.

Ok believe it or not I had a dream about this game not exactly but the Theme the art and even the Game Play are pretty similar.
My dream was about a stone age tower defense game and I am actually so shocked right now😮😮😮.

Looks interesting since I'm into prehistoric type of games and I love the artstyle, I can tell that it's heavily inspired by kingdom rush which is fine. Animations can get better but I get it since you guys are just a small team. Can't wait to check it out

Ah, this game! I used to see some pre-gameplay of it very long time ago on youtube (4-5 year maybe... I don't remember it exactly) Look very cool and I love it. It's so great to know that this game is actually "live" because I was thought this game has been cancelled or dropped by the developments since that time.
Yeah, sometimes I had similaer thought. I am happy we could bring it to the release.

Wow, that is actually a great game! Despite a few inconveniences here and there, it's alot of fun, tons of humor and easter eggs, very cool. And it's pretty hard, too. Switched to easy on 5th level when it kicked my butt. Also, the storyline is awesome. And it's not "Kingdom Rush at home" or w/e, stop comparing them. This one's a cozy, detailed and nourished indie.
Played till mammoth level so far, that was an unexpected twist with coal. Although, merging two mammoths into a walking ctulhu abomination was more unexpected :)

I could see why people say kingdom rush-like. The art style is pretty similar, though I really love it. The bosses look extremely fun to play against (im guessing each bosses has its own gimmick like the bug planting its egg or the octopus having its tentacle all around the map, if so, that is awsome) Really looking forward to playing it once its out

Why do you think so? I have checked screenshot - it seems compltetly different.
Game seems promising, one piece of advice, for the next trailer, let the game play a bit more instead of intercalating with animations (like you did in the last half of the video) so ppl can appreciate all the animations/mechanics. You had my curiosity, now you have my attention :D!

Hmm. Might be late in development, but do you plan on adding something like an early Bronze Age or towers that can be destroyed or disabled by enemies?
Some units can disable defenders.
But we won't add any significant changes to the game.
some map track in the trailer make me confuse a little, can it may have a line or arrow to suggest where the enemies will go?

@@zero_the_timeline. kingdom rush got flags/tesla coils/arcane pillars in the game so,i immediately could tell where enemies aren't supposed to go.

I remember playing this years ago, it felt very meh. Wonder if it's worth another shot.
A few years ago it was completely unfinished. Now it has all missions, all towers, new skill system, cool bosses. 10 animated movies, soundtrack and etc.

Man, when I saw the title I was really hoping this would be a tower defense game across many levels of human evolution... It still looks fun as is, but not as interesting in concept as I had hoped
When I was 10 I also dreamed about being game developer. Well, it is fun, but hard work.
