Hey Mandy, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I loved your videos. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts for you?
Thank you Mandy! This video was so helpful, and perfect timing ;-) As of August 2023, Monster Digital does brand inserts. You probably already know this ;-) But might be new information for others.
Hi Mandy, please help me if you know the answer. Can I sell tshirts as well as wall art on Etsy? Should they be two different stores or can they all be part of a general store? Would this confuse the algorythm if I want to sel both tshirts as well as wall art prints?
Hi Mandy, thank you so much for all of your videos. I am learning a ton from you! I do have a question. Did you put the size and other info on the shirt label or do they do that separately?
The size and care instructions are already there, which makes it super easy to simply add in your existing logo or whatever image you'd like to appear on the label :)
Hey Mandy I got a quick question- have you diversified your designs also on other POD platforms like redbubble, Zazzle and teepublic? Is it worth to diversify on those websites considering insane competition on Etsy these days? I am just not sure if one can make a full-time income on those platforms though compared to etsy. I would appreciate your response thanks!
I know some people like those especially if they want to avoid Etsy (although there’s lots of bad press RedBubble these days so I’d be careful on that one), but I honestly think it dilutes your efforts to try and build on multiple platforms in the beginning. The competition in other platforms is no better and the return on items is going to be less (which means you have to sell a lot more to make the same amount of money because of how they set up royalties. Instead of putting time and energy into multiple platforms my recommendation is to use that time to keep growing and improving existing efforts on Etsy (especially if you have limited time to work on things). Once a shop is established and doing well, then it makes more sense to expand and diversify as needed 😊 Hope that helps! 💚
Is there a way to limit the amount of times a code can be used? How do you stop someone from using the 30% code each time they shop. That could get expensive on your end?
In Etsy you can’t limit it by total usage (you can on other platforms though). I’ve used a similar approach for years in my handmade shop and I find that most customers eventually forget about it, so if I get a percentage of customers that do repeatedly use it, then it’s worth it to get the returning customer experience (especially since they’re more likely to leave positive reviews). One thing I do is eventually swap out codes. So I’ll start using a new one on cards and then after a period of time I’ll expire the previous code. It’s worth playing around with to see what works best for your customer behavior 🤓
Yes, it definitely changed. It was offered for free at first to promote it, but the plan was always that it would incur a small extra fee. There are several more print providers that offer it now, as well. And for those curious, it's 10 cents worth Printify Premium.
Fantastic tutorial, awesome designs, and superb examples, Mandy! Thanks for sharing! 💚

@@studiomdesignsco After posting I thought of the expiring codes. Great idea. Thanks for all your help.
Than..you..Mandy...newby..here..so..much..to..learn...
Too bad they don't offer the custom return address to us Canadians
Definitely a bummer! 😭
Maybe this info changed over the last 6 months, but I do see that a branded insert is 15 cents.

Yes! So excited! 🤩
