This is a Great Video! I think you can even apply everything you said to being an active drum tech or band director as well, so Thank you!

That really means a lot! Thank you so much! Yes, I was thinking that too since I apply these skills myself as an instructor. Cheers!

Im curious if my section leader isn’t mature/responsible enough and/or doesn’t have as much experience as I do to be section leader do I have the option to challenge for the position of section leader (im asking for myself bc im a percussionist and my section leader pretty much just uses the position of section leader to basically boss around anyone she can anytime she gets the chance and she only has about 3 years of experience opposed to my 6 years)

Hmm, I haven't seen that type of arrangement in my Drumlines, but I would say ask your Director and Instructor. It could be just a situation where you need to air out your concerns to them and they can perhaps address your section leader and see if that type of behavior can be addressed and corrected if necessary. But ask if they would be open to having the position re-evaluated after the season is over and if they would consider you as next in line. It's worth asking, but if nothing else, I think it starts with a conversation so you can all decide the best path forward for your group. Hope this helps! Keep me updated on this situation :)
