Mary was fun loving when she first got to france! Sadly, she lost some of her innocence and joy over time and due to events like her miscarriage and rape. Also, Francis's death. Life was still hard after her return to scotland. (When she died and saw Francis's face in heaven, I cried. She so needed peace and his enduring love after many years of struggle and pain!)
