HYT - Time is Fluid - The Story of Unique Watches Indicating Time with Fluid

Mechanical watches and fluid don't mix!
In fact, it is one of the main topics for all mechanical watch brands to keep fluids outside of the watch case. 6 years ago, a small company named HYT did exactly the opposite. They created a watch that indicates the time with fluids. But don't expect water to go around the watch case like it's a miniature aquarium. The case is still waterproof and water doesn't flow in between the gears and pinions. The fluid is inside a system composed of a small capillary tube and two bellows that indicate the time. Time is fluid.
Today, MONOCHROME is visiting HYT. We're going to take a closer look at the manufacturing, the technical design and the watches themselves. We'll be talking with the brand's CEO Gregory Dourde and the creative director François Nunez.

This is a great insight into HYT!
I thought I knew about the engineering behind HYT timepieces but I discovered new information (including the hydrophobic coating inside the tubes), the making of those specialist glass tubes, and the companies use of poetry and history behind the HYT brand and watches!
