- Battlefield 2042 still stands alone in the FPS Gaming space. Nothing can come close to those insane moments that the game delivers. I for one am happy that the Only in Battlefield DNA never changed with BF2042. I'm yet to find another game to rival 2042. Lets hope the next Battlefield continues the trend.

Those are old clips. Since the last update (season 7) the assault class can only carry 2 C5 now

No, it's not a good BF. It's fun as long as you play for these crazy clips. It's actually a fantastic clip generator. But map flow and designs are a joke. The TEAM game mechanic is just a shadow of what we already had. The bugs, the content in the form of the live service model is too slow and too little, the balance...
The entire direction the BF series has taken is anything but what the OGs wanted.
This is by no means a hateful or bitter comment. But you keep asking yourself this question and yes, of course this game has a lot to offer, funny moments and its very own qualities.
But the demographics speak for themselves: all but a tiny percentage of former BF fans play this game and literally everyone I know hates it. And it's not that these gamers are no longer in the mood for a good Battlefield at 35, they've just moved on.
But I like you, I also think your point of view is very good and necessary/required for a positive gaming experience. I also like this clip generator and there are also very good ideas in it. Nevertheless, the bottom line is that there is only a little BF DNA in it. And every time you ask if it isn't the essence of every Battlefield, my gamer heart cries a quiet cry: Nope.
But whatever, let's shoot some sweaters out of the cockpits ^^
I'm a very old og battel field player from the original first game day's, no battelfeild had ever been the same as one before or after. The truth is a lot of the OG are sweaty player's and want the game to be for them and be just a hard-core sweaty match.

Congrats, me to. But somehow we both could play these older games and had fun... i gues so.. and now we have a casual Game for "everyone" that isnt fun for a huge part of the community, exept a influencer tells you it is, by ignoring the millions players and consuments that made this series big and known for 🤷♂️ And the teasing in the trailers for bf 2042 was made also for those players. To be clear, i want a good and fun game for both: Casual and Core Gamers. And myself wouldnt have a problem with the hole hero shooter aspect, even a BR would be nice, if they would build that on the mechanics that made all the other games known for. @loschen4073 Switzerland is a beautiful country and beautiful people generally. I had 2042 from day one and not seen or met any toxic players in the game only in the comment section or forum, from the odd person complaining about the game, and that's not many. Personally, I used to get angry if I played too long on the old BF games because everyone was so sweaty and wanted everything to be hard, core style, play, or nothing. Anything is fun if you want it to be it's about entertaining yourself and being more light-hearted about things. People used to rage quite in the old games, and now that really doesn't happen anymore. They are bringing out a BR game but Dice is already getting a lot of bad feedback on that from the OG player saying they Don't want a BR and are already refusing to buy it just knowing it will be a BR game. It's like they say the people who are happy you don't hear much from but the unhappy are the one's who speak the loudest and make more comments.

Or the swiss/german players are just on a other crybaby spectrum... whatever, in the end i would still give Dice the advise to keep the focus on the Vehicle/Infantery/Air and Sea Combat Balance. Or at least giving the portal mode some more love. I dont know whats your background, but myself would love to see it like you wrote it. But the critic keeps the same. It was not about moments. It was about bugs, it was about horrible map designs, it was about horrible specialists, it was about no class system, it is about not be able to make your own servers. Its true only Battlefield offers such moments but this was not the problem.
