Thanks for the tip. Have the same issue with my 997. Needless to say, OPC, along with local independant, were opting for a more drastic [expensive] approach. Your suggestion looks much more sensible
Mine did the opposite where it would drop and not go back up unless I rolled it up from the inside. I also got the door lock mechanism and it sat on the shelf for months because I didn’t wanna tackle it. Then saw a video where a guy fixed his with the window motor. Picked up a used one on eBay for $45 and boom!! Fixed!!
Interesting take on this issue. I had the same problem only AFTER I sprayed some lube into the latch as routine PM. The next day this problem appeared with the window not staying down the 1/2 inch. I replaced the latch and never a problem since. I attributed the problem to the fact that I'd sprayed WD into the latch. Maybe I should have given it more time to "self-correct"!
Great trick! My passenger side window only opens from the driver side window controls but doesnt not work if i use the passenger side window switch. Do you have any idea what the issue may be?
Lol! I didn't realize those were in the shot. If you're subscribed, you may notice I'm developing an affordable, yet awesome valved exhaust system for the 997.2.

Hmm...yeah I would only spray wd40 if there's an issue.
Do you have the latch mechanism part number?
Following. Also have the same problem. I heard there's a VW unit that would also work?
@@patrickpham3846are you looking for a 997.2? If you go on fcpeuro they have a part manufactured by febi that should work. It’s $55.

Sounds like a bad passenger side window control. I would try replacing that.
You think collecting exhaust tips is a good investment ;-) Will try the WD-40, mine started giving problems after replacing the regulator.

WD40 works but you will probably have to replace it in a year or two.
