I do mine in two opposing directions to give it a mirrored effect and it lays beautifully.

This is a great video. We are hosting Christmas this year and I would like to make some garland. How long does it last? I'm wondering how early I can make it. Thanks

It lasts through the season, but does dry out quite a bit. This was made at the end of November and I kept it up until January 1st

It does dry out, but we keep ours in place for a month before discarding into the compost pile

Hi Jen! This is my first time making fresh evergreen/pine garland.
So, I was wondering if you could tell me how the garland would hang if I were to start from the center (using only one long piece of rope/jute) and went opposite ways? I’m wanting to make the garland for my archway in my foyer. My intent is to put a bow in the center of the garland (center of archway) and let the garland follow the arch and hang down on both sides. Any advice or pointers would be so helpful. TIA

I would just do two separate garlands for the size you’re looking to do. If you can put a hook into the wall, that’s best. If not, command strips work great as well

Oooo! We did record a bride for that. Did you search for it in our channel? I think it might be out here.
