I challenged myself to learn this song a long time ago, and that pinky stretch is still a killer. One of my favorite riffs regardless and as always, you did such a great job with the break down.
This is one of the first riffs I ever remember learning to play, many many years back…It got me a job in a Beatles tribute band. Happy days. Thank you Guitar Pilgrim.
I've always been a fan of the Beatles, when I was a kid, they were active and remember them on french radio! We were so many to play this riff without the bar chord position!!!! When there was RUclips to see live footages of this song, and seeing Lennon or Harrison playing that, WTF !!!!! 🙂 Well done, Tom !!!
Can you play this riff? The James Burton lead electric guitar intro, solo and fills from the Judy Collins version of Someday Soon as found on the studio album Who Knows Where the Time Goes? NOT the Buddy Emmons Steel parts ... a LOT of vids out there on that ... but NOBODY on YT has ever done the James Burton stuff. That is a shame because this tune REALLY helped to get Country Rock rolling back in the day.
That was fantastic Thom! Another one of my favorite Beatles tunes. Lennon was a genius always coming up with those amazing guitar riffs! Thanks & hope that all is well with you & your family. 👍👍🎸🎸
Omg your guitar is lovely I just find your channel, and believe me it's so exciting. Cause I'm a amateur player and I find your videos so helpful. I'm from Iran. And this is nice. Well done and keep making because I know that it's inspiring for me and anyone else like me, so thanks a lot.❤
Bro, I love watching your videos! You're a great player and a great teacher. And BTW that is an AWESOME guitar! I love the tone and the looks. I'm currently in the process of assembling another Telecaster with a body made out of mango wood (yeah I know, a bit strange but here in Australia we have no shortage of mangoes. It's an interesting experiment). Really looking forward to hearing how it sounds. Let me know if you're interested in hearing some clips when I'm done.
Huge Thanks to all patrons for stil supporting the channel!! Your tabs are available here: bit.ly/41eBxLu
The two guitar parts of "And Your Bird Can Sing" would be a great video!

Even more impressive the fact Lennon managed to play this riff on his J160E acoustic. 🤯
That stretching pinky finger part always annoyed me. This motivate me to learn this song again 😂. Awesome lesson as usual!
The G position is kinda extreme stretching! 😏
All of my fingers are pink
Ish

Can't not hear Ringo's drums crashing in :) Great song to break down, thank you!
Great video. Besides being such an excellent guitar player... you are also a great communicator/teacher. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Yes! See, you CAN sing! Really good too 👌
