Grew up in a household of country music. As an adult, I'm now into hard rock, metal, and hip-hop, but every once in a while, I come back to the nostalgia of my favorite country artist as a kid.
Clay walker all away listen good country music festival it's clay walker do older country music singer clay walker will bring back his best country singer
I just wish he was bigger and country music.Than he is and I always love this music. And he says that another texas boy, that's bad ass. Especially this song.Is right on point with this one. 😢
When this song first came out I was early to mid 20’s. I had a couple of small kids. I wanted to and needed to work with big dreams of a great job with great pay and spending time when I could with my kids and wife. Now in my late 40’s this song is my life. I don’t need to beg, steal or borrow and I don’t need anything money can buy. It’s all about living and making each day the best I can. My wife, adult kids and grandkids are the most important in my life. I can go back to when I was a kid. A dirt road, skipping rocks and fishing. A great song I think everyone needs to listen to this today.
I used to sing with a band back in the 90s. We did What's it to You the first time. I totally forgot about the key change in that one when I decided to do it. It went from the top of my range to screeching at the change. We didn't do that again. That was embarrassing.
I’ve been listenin’ to this song and believing in this message my entire life. Stay humble and true ... when I’m troubled and it comes on my country radio I smile and carry on...show my son the same.
Back when country was country!! So many great memories. I was 14 when this came out and still love it to this day. Today's country has no feel or story behind it and everyone sounds the same. Thankful i grew up in that time
Being 17 most people think that I listen to the new music. But they are wrong! I love the older country music. I play the guitar and sing a little bit. But I enjoy this older music the most. Back when they had real talent and not all the crap in the studio to make them sound good!
I agree with this statement, but I highly doubt a 17 year-old wrote it. It's more than likely from somebody inside the music industry, supporting Clay Walker. If it really is a 17 year-old, then they are very intelligent.
His voice is in a category of it's own. I've listened to clay ever since he started hes by far a better singer and song writer than some of the ones that think they're country musicians today!
This is how I feel I stand proud that's me I don't have to be steal or borrow I don't need anything money can buy I had it all that's me I never lived in no black top streets that's me I don't worry about things I can't change
I admire this man....Went to his concert on his first tour....in Boise Idaho...he said we were the best audience ever an he was going to say so...on the album cover an he did...I had just been diagnosed with MS an he made sure all of us in wheel chairs were front an center ...cause he knew what it was like to be shoved to the back....since he himself has MS.....still have the beach balls etc..that he threw to us....
Love that you have stayed true to your roots and still sing songs like this iconic song! Knowing it comes from you and your grandmas life experiences comes through in your amazing voice! One of my favorites!!
Mr. Clay Walker, you are & will a one of a kind legend. You can't be replaced. You've never released any music that i don't love from your first song all the way too the present. I'm so happy your doing well & still releasing beautiful music that touches my heart & soul. I'm proud to have won meet & greet passes yep i still have the pictures & your famous autographs. God bless you & your family. Listening in Columbia, Mo. Be good kiddo.

"I dont worry about things I can't change". One of the greatest lines in music and life
That line made quite an impression on me as a teenager & to this day I try my hardest to not worry about things that I can't change. It'll eat ya up.

The fiddle and the echoey 90s sound effects to the instruments are what makes this song! And I love it! This is why I listen to 90s country!
Dann Huff on electric guitar. He was a session guitarist for many 80s pop/rock artists and for many 90s country artists.
