Keanu deserved an Oscar for reloading onscreen.
That could be an award, but I think it would be from a different academy.
Honestly tho, every bullet was accounted for, he knew exactly when to reload. Most movies you see someone firing 87 bullets from a handgun before reloading.

For real! Most action movies they have a never-ending magazine! Like they'll fire 100+ rounds non-stop from a 10 round mag lol
The man that played the clerk at the hotell recently died his name was Lance Reddick. He was loved by a lot of people that made the movie
10:25 Tragic detail that is often overlooked is that Daisy, John's dog tried to crawl to him when she was dying. She tried to stay by his side even after she drew her last breath.
The brighter fun fact is that Daisy was actually played by a male beagle named Andy and he is currently living happily with a real family that adopted him. In honor of the films, the kids in that family renamed Andy to "Wick" because of how iconic his role was even though John's dog was killed 20 minutes into the film.

Fun fact for you guys: During that scene with Francis the bouncer outside the club, they are speaking in code and Francis gave John a secret message. When John asked “How much weight have you lost?” Francis tells him “Over 60 pounds.” He is telling John how many guards are inside the club, so John lets him live.
My favourite detail of this movie is during the chase at the red circle; the camera is smooth and slow on john, but shaky and erratic on josef as he runs away.
Mine is when she drops off the puppy and has to ask him to relinquish the weapon.... I mean pen.....
Because John.. Is a man of focus.

The club scene, Keanu was battling a high fever and didnt want to delay the production so he powered through it
The kilogram exchange between the guard and Wick was really referring to the number of bodyguards inside

In the Francis(Kevin Nash) scene
John says you've lost weight. Francis replies 60 kg . (137lbs) So what Francis was saying is there are 60 guards inside. Which is why Wick says take the night off
Y'all have started an incredible journey. For real. The next two films are better than the one before each of them and I've heard #4 is spectacular.

if you want to see Willem Defoe in a early creepy role check out "To live and die in L.A." really an underrated crime thriller. He is super young in it...really good movie from the 80's

Not sure if you noticed, but John guided the knife into the same stab wound he'd suffered earlier. The stitches had already torn, so it really didn't cause any additional damage. But it afforded him the leverage to break the arm, and take the blade.

I haven't seen the John Wick movies until earlier this year. After seeing the first one, I'm like WTF haven't I watched these movies before? I was debating whether to see the 4th one in the theaters but decided to wait until it releases on disk. Over 3 hours in a theater is a bit long. Wait until you see the next two, even better. You'll also get to see more of the lore of the John Wick movies such as the underworld, the assassins, the crime families, etc. Ms. Perkins was executed because she broke number one rule on Continental grounds, killing someone. Continental grounds is a safe haven. And you have to pay attention at certain scenes because the characters will talk in coded messages. Like the Kevin Nash character. When John asked him if he lost weight, he was really asking how many hostiles were in the club.
I can’t wait to watch the 2nd!
Fun fact, when Francis, AKA Kevin Nash says 60kg, he's actually telling John Wick how many armed guards are in the building
You got to tell her bro every consecutive movie gets more and more action-packed. I'm not really giving a spoiler but I can't wait to see her expression when she sees a combat dogs with bulletproof vest😂

That moment with Kevin Nash is an example of masterful world-building. There's barely more than 20 words exchanged between them, in maybe 20 seconds of screen time total, and the moment tells you so much about both characters.
I want the spinoff movie following Kevin Nash's character... I want to know why John Wick respected him enough to spare him...

Lance Reddick, the concierge, passed away not to long ago. Also, I'm surprised you didn't recognise Kevin Nash as the security guard in the locker room. The more I watch this, the more head splatter I see.

I love how Marcus waited to accept the contract in John until he learned it was open. If he turned down a private contract, he likely wouldn't be allowed to live or at least walk free while Wick lived cause he could tip him off but once he learned it was fair game it gave him the opportunity to watch from afar and help warm him, like he did with the shot to the pillow. If he wanted to he would have had him there.
If you go back and look carefully, John picked the dog at the end because of what it said on its cage.
The label on the cage said, "to be put down." John rescued the dog from death essentially.

Wish you would do the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy still held today as perfect storytelling in film even today

The Willem DaFoe character is the realest G in this film. Dude pissed off a mob kingpin and threw away his professional reputation, all to help John Wick out. Wick talked about how alone he was, but Marcus was his brother until the very end.

Some context for John wick 1, if already said, disregard:
-the John wick movies have a loose association with the stages of grief
The muted colors in the beginning are for detachment and loss.
-the gold coins don’t count as modern currency, they buy access and depending on who gives it to you will depend on how many coins are used
-the Continental hotel is as much of a character as John wick. It is a place for assassins to relax and not worry about retaliation, hence the harsh rules.
-the lighting in the red circle denotes the level of danger like a video game level.
-all the muzzle flashes were CGI.
-the dog at the end is keanus real life pet dog.
-bacon grease was put in keanus beard for the wake up scene with daisy.
Get buckled up cause the kills get crazier in the later movies.

This mY bee mentioned further down in the comments keni is really that good with firearms he has spent at least 4k hrs training with them for this series he is also hahighly skilled martial artist so from what I head as of parallel he did something likev90-95% of his own stunts also the rhe dog he takes at the end of the movie was to be put down that next morning according to the paperwork on the kennel cage it also is Kent's actual dog

The Doorman Francis saying he lost over 60kgs was code he was telling John how many bodyguards were inside protecting Viggo's son he did this as a courtesy because he knew John could have killed him right there on the spot

well.. John Wick is a Stuntman. Keanu is a good person... but not a good actor.
The one thing that should remind everyone that this is a movie, is Viggo did not warn his son not to mess with John Wick, when he left. If he had, this whole movie series wouldn't have happened. Real life, I'd warn my kids not to mess with my EX, Dominate Assassin. A simple 1+1. Great Post.

I was excited to learn that you had started reacting to movies; however, I'm equally disappointed that the version you chose are poorly edited. I understand that you can't show the full movie, but the 2 that you have reacted to so far are missing relevant dialog. Watching the movies along with you, didn't make much sense, because the dialog was missing/omitted.
