My favorite John Wick kill scene in this movie was when he stared the guy in the eyes as the other guy dies. That was a pure death stare.

I love how Vigo keeps using more and more potent drugs to cope as the movie goes on.

The John Wick movies are one continuous story. Each one begins where the previous one left off. He's a very fast healer. Very fast.
"Oh! Ok! Wait, wait, not just the membership has been revoked? Her life has been revoked? Haha! ... We have dinner reservation!!!!" Your reaction was pure gold! Can't wait to see the rest of the series!

John wasn't trying to get josef in the red circle, he was driving him out of his hiding place.
Please remember that John doesn't just want to kill him but he wants to mentally torment him before he kills him.
Note that Viggo did not drink when he gave his son a glass. He did not agree with what he did.
When Viggo drinks it's from a different bottle, a good quality vodka, the stuff he gives his son is cheap, something Viggo wouldn't drink
The man that 'killed' the puppy felt so bad about acting it, out he adopted the puppy & showered it with love. - When he chased the girls out of the vault he should as least told them to grab a big handful of money on the way out. - The dog at the end was marked to be put down (killed) & IRL the dog at the end, is Keanu Reeves dog.
Someone else brought this up but considering all 4 movies; think about all the deaths from one killed dog.
You have to watch all of the JOHN WICK movies. They are an incredible rollercoaster ride.
-Of the four movies in the franchise, this one is my favorite.
-I consider the 1st thirty minutes to be as close to perfect as you can get and the reaction videos I’ve seen prove it. The opening scene with the crash was perfect for opening the movie because what happens isn’t what would keep viewers who love action movies interested. After you see John pass out, you immediately want to know how he got to that point. The introduction of Daisy brings out the human side of the viewer especially with she’s there. Her death creates a great villain along with a reason for revenge that’s compelling. The slow build creates an anticipation to know who this John Wick guy is.
-That brings me to Viggo’s “That ‘fuckin’ nobody…..is John Wick” soliloquy. I STILL get chills when I hear it. The interspersing with John destroying the basement floor adds more tension. I watched a video that gives a great explanation that compared it to the explanation that Bruce Banner told Tony Stark about Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War.” While in “Infinity War” the explosion was about the antagonist, here it’s describing the protagonist.
-When it comes to why John didn’t kill Iosef in the bath house, he wanted to stretch it out in order scare him. WhenJohn shot the guyi in the head after pointing the gun an Iosef, he was staring at Iosef as if to say,”This is what’s going to happen to you.” If it wax a standard job, John would’ve killed him them and there. However, this was personal.
-Another thing about this movie is the gun reloads, which you don’t see a lot of especially for the protagonist.
-Definitely check out the rest of the movies. I personally think this may be the best action movie franchise ever.
Noteworthy: Mayhem (Dean Winters) from the Allstate commercials plays Avi, Viggo's assistant. Alfie Allen (Viggo's son) plays Theon in Game of Thrones (in case you didn't notice).
Dog at the end was scheduled to be put down & John rescues him from that fate.

Not life jacket , bullet-proof vest, but we know what you meant. Always great to have a native Russian speaker react to Russian in movies. Viggo smoked a joint so he is probably high, that's why he is felling and acting with no cares in the car when John chases them. Knife wound is fatal in the main artery, he bled out and died in seconds. Dog was to be put down.

Never understood why people are confused on whether Vigo is dead
They don't know fights, knives and /or anatomy at a guess.
The scene with Francis is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. It's a nice interaction, but I found out later that Francis and John were talking in code to each other. When John asked Francis how much weight he had lost, Francis responded in Russian that he had lost 27kgs, which is around 60 pounds. What Francis was telling him was that there 27 guards in the club.
I also heard that the actor playing Francis misspoke and he actually said 20kgs, but he was supposed to say 27.
I love how they made it apparent why John went on this rampage. Everybody who sees this movie can say yes I know why you're doing this Go Go for it
Wick accepts the flesh wound in the gut to get the dagger, then stabs Viggo in the side of the neck, severing his subclavian artery. That's almost always fatal without immediate medical assistance.
It’s also where John was already wounded by the broken champagne bottle previously, so it would be less critical getting stabbed there again.
Two other great additions to this movie (other than the sequels) are the "John Wick Tactical Training" and "John Wick Kill count" videos.
The car wasn't important enough for him to get back into the life. But the dog was.
18:37 there’s a local Chinese restaurant that the owner can still tell me my dads order and he died 15yrs ago. Some people have amazing memories. Whenever we call in cause we get the same thing we never have to say our name cause she recognizes the order and very rarely do we ever get someone else taking our order.
It is not said in the movie but it is inferred that John's wife was a veterinarian and it was her shelter where he ended up. Remember she gifted him the first puppy and as he and the dog walked away they were on the same walkway where his wife collapsed.
I just noticed, that the cop that shows up about the noise complaint is on first name basis and relaxed with each other which suggests major back story.

P.S. The dog at the end had a red tag on its door meaning that it was to be put down. John Wick saved the dogs life by taking it.
Yes the car is that important for John to go try to get it back. A 1969 Mustang Boss 429, as Iosef said this was, can sell for over $350,000 USD. However, it was not a Boss 429, it's a Mach 1. John just didn't feel he needed to correct Iosef about that also since Iosef also got the year wrong. A 1969 Mach 1 can sell for as low as $50,000 to as much as $200,000.
But, we all know that it's not really about the car. Poor puppy :(
Nice reaction.....It's assumed that the Vet-Clinic is the place where his wife worked, if you look closely, you see the place where leaves with the dog at the end, is the same place where his wife collapsed in the beginning, after John picked her up from work. John went there on purpose, because he knew he would find medical supplies. The area where John guides Vigos blade, is the same, where he got stabbed with the broken bottle inside teh club, so the damage would be minimal.
The one time I took a round to my vest i ended up with 4 broken ribs and ruptured blood vessels in my lung and was slowly drowning from blood. I also messed my back up and it still bothers me today. And most obviously I had massive bruising for 3 weeks.
And Keanu actually adopted the dog at the end in real life and still has it today so is in all 4 movies

Keana did extensive training on a tactical gun range. The term is a bullet proof jacket.
38:44 Viggo does know how to fight, he's just not in John's league when it comes to hand to hand combat. With the exception of Kirill (the guy who stabs John with the bottle and throws him off the balcony), nobody in the movie is. Nothing against Miss Perkins, who's very skilled in BJJ, but John is too and has a lot more muscle into the bargain.
Throughout the entire 4 movies, he racked up a body count of 415. 415 dead because that idiot killed his dog and stole his car.
2:07 for more emotional scenes, may I recommed movie, The Grey, starring always fantastic Liam Neeson 🐺

Life Jacket = Personal Flotation Device for keeping you floating on the water.
Bulletproof Vest = body armor to protect against mostly pistol rounds (what John was wearing)
Marcus took the contract because it was an open contract, so he could help John.
Never will understand people dreaming of going to New York City, it's a nasty place full of homeless and crime, especially now. New York is great, the other 99.05% that's not NYC that is.

The beginning & end scenes are in an animal shelter. The clip board on the pit bull's cage states that he is scheduled for euthanasia. So John Wick saves a puppy's life at the end. For me it is a toss-up as to which John Wick movie I think is the best. The 1st movie always has an advantage. However, John Wick: Chapter 3 is an outstanding movie. The fight scene with Keanu Reeves & Hallie Berry is one of the all time great fight scenes! They have help from Hallie Berry's 2 Belgian Malinois. Be sure to watch the training video for the movie with Halle Berry. If I remember right, she cracked a rib during training.
It does sort of annoy me how many movies have the supposed good guys capturing huge stacks of cash and then burning it, rather than spread it around.
You will love the rest of the John Wick saga..
I read a while ago that when Russians toast each other but you have a disagreement, You touch glasses but you don't drink. That's what Viggo did with his son and pours himself another in a different glass . If true that is a nice little cultural nod in filming this. As for your question about How does he kill 3 men in a bar with a pencil? Just wait, you'll find out ! Not really a spoiler.

Getting shot in soft Armor Hurts, massive tissue bruising, cracked bones sometimes. Trauma plates with shock absorption under Kevlar is better, unless you are hit by rifle fire, then it's still awful.. You'll most likely live but not happily

My only question was always if John went wild afyer his Dog wad killed what could Vigo really expect when Marcus wad not only killed byVigo but then calles and bragged about it. Sheesh
On the front of his kennel door is a paper saying that he was to be euthanized. So John Wick took a dog that was about to be killed.

It's always so funny, watch how actors speak Russian. Actually in this movie acсent and phrases better than usual. But episode in club, when "russian mob" in pool sings a child lullaby is so weird and very funny. They definitely missed the point of this song.
