I ve had the privilege to watch him played throughout his career. What younger people will never be able to see about zidane is his CONSISTENCY. The guy touched 130 balls per game and lost maybe one on average, while creating dangers all along with amazing passes. This cannot be seen on RUclips videos which only show you his most impressive moves. Those passes didn’t all turn into a goal so it was not officially recorded as assists. So when I hear all those messi fans saying messi is the goat because of his stats, I say stats cannot tell you everything. I won’t get into the goat debate cause it s subjective. Personnaly Zidane made me fall in love with football.
If Zidane played in the premier league? Watch his games against United. He would for sure be the best in the league at that time. He was physically very strong. The Spanish and Italian leagues were tougher at his time. Listen to Roy Keane when he talks about Zidane a man who was known to be one of the toughest players.
Exactly! I'm a bit older and the Premier League was not really a great league until the mid-late 00's. It was more so known as the physical long-ball league until foreign owners came in and signed players from what's now known as "farmer's leagues".
@@yusuf_nodejs Definately. I remember the good “old” days. The spanish league and italians leagues were much stronger than the premier league. There is no way Zidane would want to play there at that time, Henry butchered the premier league Zidane at that time would’ve made players cry. He literally was s guy you did’nt want to get close to because he embaresses you. At that time the premier league pressed hard and fast on players, with Zidanes reaction time he would slide between them and split teams apart. If Roy Keane and the tough players at Englands national team did’nt stand a chance imagine him playing for Arsenal or United what a massacre it would be.
Listen to what Roy Keane said about Zizou. It'll give you an idea of how he would'vefared in the prem. And he played for Juve in the calcio which was arguably even more physical than the prem back then.
I sometimes imagine that Zidane and Yuna Kim(figure skating legend) together in a commercial or something... Zidane's play is something like a ballet dancer or male figure skater on the pitch. Extremely beautiful and artistic...
I stopped watching when he said a more physical league. Serie a in that era was the most physical league ever. Premier league was dead at that time. And it's not just the PL that has a fast pace, it's football which has changed

You need to talk less while reacting. FYI, Platini and Maradona never played in Italy in the 90s
