- Dreamin’ Wild, the true story of love and redemption, is about what happened to singer/songwriter Donnie Emerson and his family when the album he and his brother recorded as teens was rediscovered after thirty years of obscurity and was suddenly hailed by music critics as a lost masterpiece. While the album’s rediscovery brings hopes of second chances, it also brings long-buried emotions as Donnie, his wife Nancy, brother Joe, and father Don Sr. come to terms with the past and their newly found fame.
Written and directed by Academy Award® and Emmy®-nominated Bill Pohlad and featuring original music by Donnie Emerson, the film stars Academy Award® Winner Casey Affleck, Emmy®-nominated Zooey Deschanel , Emmy®-nominated Walton Goggins, Chris Messina, Jack Dylan Grazer and Emmy® and Grammy Award®-winning Beau Bridges. Dreamin’ Wild was produced by Academy Award®-winner Jim Burke, Pohlad, Kim Roth, Viviana Vezzani and Karl Spoerri. Affleck executive produced with Emmy®-nominated Christa Workman, Dan Clifton, Steven Snyder and Tobias Gutzwiller. A River Road Entertainment, Innisfree Pictures, Zurich Avenue production.

I’m friends with the Emerson’s great people. His mom gave me a Catholic cross that I still have. God bless them.
22 years old , found this album in 2021 and made my days brighter. As a kid in a band performing shows in California there is a certain magic in those songs that capture the feel good vibe of a sunny afternoon.
I found this album in early 2020 and it got me through that first year of uncertainty and chaos with the pandemic. God bless these men and their family
Just finished watching this movie and I was not disappointed. I loved it
I’ve been a fan of Donnie and Joe Emerson for 10 years now and I’m very happy that these two brothers are getting the platform that they deserve.
Though I wasn’t even alive until 12 years after Dreamin Wild was initially released, I feel lucky that I discovered them when I did and now got to enjoy a biopic about a group that I consider to be one of my favorite bands.
I wish that they would tour more but I understand that time takes it’s toll on all of us.
Hope this isn’t the final chapter of D&J
I saw this at a screening with talk with Donnie and the films director. The humbleness and incredible home grown talent of Donnie Emerson was captured perfectly. Definitely worth
seeing.
"You're so baby..."
So good. Love that jam.
Way to go Donnie & Joe! When do I get to brag that I know you? Lol. Seriously, though, it's very exciting to watch you get the success and recognition you've worked so hard for. Can't wait to see the movie (though I already know most of the story. Lol).
I just saw the movie. It was great. I will be looking for their music.
I’ve been a fan of Donnie and Joe Emerson’s music since its rerelease by light in the attic. As a musician from a family full of musicians their story really hit home for me as I’m sure it does for many creatives who come close to success but never make it. They couldn’t have gotten a better director for this project. Cannot wait to see this!
Light in the attic of course also put out Rodriguez's two albums - and The doc about him searching for sugarman became a hit - so hopefully the same happens for this ..
Don Emerson Sr. is my Mom's first cousin. I can't wait to see this movie! Many blessings to their family.
Woohoo! The Emersons deserve this. So excited to see the film. I feel really blessed to have had them on my show while this was in development!
Im In this movie lol this was a big thing to happen to our local area
I saw this at the Seattle Film Festival last month! A sweet little movie. Casey Affleck is very good in it.
He always is.
Chris Gore got me here, and I'm glad he did. This movie puts me out of my usual which I'm thankful for. Looks good.
Goggins. All day, baby. I'm in.
Love him!
Finally. A good movie worth going to the theatre for. Lots of great actors.
Hear, hear!

Anyone know the specific version of "Baby" playing in this trailer? It's different than the original studio recording!
I think it's an updated version Donnie recorded for the movie, but I don't think it's available to listen to unfortunately. But I did find this video of them performing it that I think is portrayed in the movie as well!

mmmm Donnie & Joe on good theater speakers?! yes please.
I’m begging anyone, ANYONE to share where I can find the music from this trailer. Specifically this version of “baby”, I’ve looked everywhere, PLEASE
I will see anything with Uncle Baby Billy in it.
Heard baby in a skateboard video part... Not surprised. 👍🏽
YASSS
I first heard the song Baby used in the movie "The Spectacular Now" where a very young couple slow dances to the song.
I first heard it in the opening credits of _The Comedy_ and Shazammed it immediately.
Noah Jupe is in it
Shoutout Jack n’ Dans
I could tell it's the 70s in the movie because I'm into vintage stuff but I wanna see the movie
sounds a lil like the Rascals, Beautiful Morning, comes to mind.
The story around The Shaggs band would also make an interesting movie....'My Pal Foot Foot'...
Saw the trailer in Theater Camp
What is the song that is at 00:10?
love this...have to see it!

The fact that, what: deep cut private press blue eyed soul, and fucking Light In The Attic records, has turned into a movie, is so bonkers. Good bonkers, to be clear. :)
As much as I respect their fathers financial investment in them. It seems to me the struggle is what creates the longevity in music. Almost every band or solo artist of the 60s and 70s has a story of having nothing but continued playing and writing wherever they could to perfect their craft. It clearly affected the quality of their music in a positive way and that's why young people today listen to artists from that Era.
Love The Emerson’s music but geez how I loathe Casey Affleck. It still looks good though.
horrible shame they cast casey affleck in this
Casey Affleck is a horrible actor. I won't watch anything with him in it.
These guys are so baby.
