1) That's not even the K1 you're showing in the video. That's the older shield tablet that the K1 is a refresh of. The difference is that the K1 doesn't come with a styles, nor does it have a dedicated slot for the stylus if you choose to buy one separately. 2) The screen isn't 1920x1080 but is 1920 x 1200, so videos will have small black bars on the top and bottom. Come on man don't start getting sloppy on me.
as a owner of the Nvidia tegra note 7 and now the Nvidia shield tablet 32gb 4g lte for 2 years now I can confidently state that no one should waste their money on this gigantic pile of crap. It requires weekly factory resets or the UI becomes an unusable laggy piece of garbage. Force closes, hang ups etc. For those who are curious why I didn't exchange it. I did! 3 times (plus the battery recall model, so 4) I would whole heartedly reccomend a Chinese tablet for half the price if you want an Android tablet. On the other hand, if you ONLY want to game then this is the tablet for you.
This tablet is so bad it made me sell my gtx 780 and buy an r9 290 graphics card and promise to never buy Nvidia products again... That's how badly I felt burned by this product
nash100ful nope :) in denmark we have a 6 month exchange policy guarantee by law so I've exchanged mine 3 times and after a month to 3 they all do the same. I think it's because the internal storage is shit, but haven't bothered researching it. I just gave up in the end :=
Dan T yup I RMA'd 3 times plus the extra one for the battery exchange... I hope people know what they're getting in to. PS. The one I have now the Sim card slot doesn't work and it has 2 bright spots on the screen yet it's the best one I've gotten yet...
1920x1200 and both the front AND rear cameras are 5MP which is especially amazing for the front camera, since it was meant for Twitch (or whatever) live streaming. I've had my Shield for a couple years now and still adore it. There is literally nothing available I'd dream of replacing it with.
That's the older model, the newer one doesn't have an integral stylus; the newer model's display panel is still compatible, but you have to buy the stylus separately & get a case with a secure place to keep it, lest you risk misplacing it.
New K1 supports it but does not come with the stylus, the one in the video is the original/old K1 but the description link is for the new K1 model. Original K1 came with s pen like stylus but it was notorious for its battery.
i meant to say he showed the old one (the one with stylus slot and stylus) but in the description, it's the link to the new one which does not have the stylus slot and stylus and charger need to be bought separately.
+john doe do you know how the K1 is a "minor upgrade" what specs are better than the original shield i have always been wondering this i know they recalled the original because of exploding battery ,but besides fixing the battery issue is it any better in any other way? also i assume the stylus will still work on the k1 but it just does not come with it and no place to store it right? would a recalled and fixes original shield be better than the k1 ,this is what i am trying to figure out i wan to buy one ,and one that is rootable
yes, tablet user here. Asus TF300, Lenovo Tab2 A10, wouldn't 2GB ram get redundant within 6 months if it isn't already too less with tabs coming out with 4GB ram already like zenpad s310 or mediapad m3
You are reviewing the Nvidia Shield Tablet, not the Nvidia Shield tablet K1. The K1 does not have a stylus and a charging brick included. Btw, I have a K1:D
TechByte the iPad mini is the best tablet overall IMHO (pro is way too large) and this is coming from the owner for 2 years now of the shield tablet 32gb 4g lte
Peter Gram Mortensen I have it :P. I was talking about the 9.7 inch one. BTW I would not buy a tablet for gaming, except a handful of games, mobile gaming is not worth it. But that's my perspective, I can play game all day so I can't see a casual gamer's perspective. iPad is the best in the USA/UK where all Apple content is supported. I don;t like android on tablets, maybe for development purposes, I'd rather use a large phone.
I got two of the LTE model tablets for the price of one thanks to the battery recall. The recalled one simply has Tegra killswitch files deleted, and both are dualbooted with android, and ubuntu.
What About the *Huawei MediaPad M3???* Sure its more expensive but your getting a lot more for it: Better performance, a fingerprint reader, arguably much better speakers, Way better Build quality and Screen, and so on.. I haven’t been seeing many RUclipsrs reviewing it at all since its release. Why is that???...
I have the Nvidia Shield K1, it's great for gaming, it overheats when video chatting, and it has okay battery life but to be honest it'd be better to go with the Pixel C
I just recently researched a bunch of tablets and I just finally found that this review help me see that this is finally out of a flood of tablets ranging in sizes and prices this one is the best for its price and for what it does the specs blew me away since 99 percent of all of them like smart watches are at a certain level and our groundbreaking this one is and it's not breaking the bank so thank you very much for an awesome job incredible job and I follow that but you always seem to impress me so that's really refreshing thank you
There is no stylus on the US version on sale now. Yes , I have used tablets for years. iPads mainly, for their quality and reliability. I have owned more Android devices, but they die fast. My experience with Lenovo Tab 2's: One lasted 1 day its replacement, 2weeks, its replacement, 3weeks, and the last one, 3 and one half weeks. Two Samsungs, first one DOA, the second one died after six months. My first generation iPad mini is still working fine, although 9.3.5 makes it so slow you would think it's running Windows! I'm gun shy to buy another Android tablet, though I would love to have something that would run KODI.
Pixel C is now the best you can get - has an X1 the successor to the K1, tons of battery life and 10" screen. Its actually the best android tablet you can buy for everything bar drawing, which the Zenpad 3S 10 or a sumsung can only beat it by having a digitizer
I got one when it first came out. Great tablet all around when it doesn't reset itself. Otherwise everything about it I love. Shocking that the model sold now doesn't have a stylus. Guess they realized how good of a job they did with the package as a whole. Just wish it didn't shut off at random times.
As an owner of the K! for exactly a year ( got it for Christmas 2015), I have to say someone should do a long term review of this tablet. This tablet *IS* fast and packs a lot of useful features but the one thing that really frustrates me and is very annoying is when you first wake the tablet. It is sooooo sloooooow in opening and sometimes take a min to give you the login screen and even when you login the screen will blackout causing repeated presses of the mushy power button. This is particularly noticeable after a long period of down-time like after a charging period or say over night. I suspect this is a result of the K1 chip not being compatible with the *Doze* feature in Marshmellow 6.0. With that said, I still like this tablet only because of the intended use, gaming but sometimes I really want to throw this at the wall because of the slow wake-up/boot-up times when you first open the tablet.
This isn't the Shield K1 but the original Shield tablet. The Shield K1 doesn't come with a built-in stylus or include an AC charger. I'm still waiting for the 3rd gen Nexus 7 that was rumored to come out this year but I guess that is no longer happening.
They are the same thing, spec wise. I think the touchscreen is different though, which is likely why it doesn't have a stylus. The original Shield tablet has a pressure sensitive touchscreen, which is how it was able to draw thicker/thinner lines based off how much pressure you applied on the stylus. Also, good luck on that 3rd gen Nexus tablet. Google has pretty much killed off the nexus brand and replaced it with pixel (disappointing, I know). They'll likely launch a new pixel tablet, which is nowhere near as affordable as the nexus line used to be.
Looks like a must for my setup. Would look lovely as decoration and amazing for traveling! Thank you for showing me this. Even after two and a half years years being produced I never heard or it :|
I have this tablet, and while I overall quite like it, it is disappointing that a 2014 offering is still the best overall android option available right now. Just makes me feel the android tablet space is really struggling.
Ali Bluex Its a 5000 milli amp battery and would give your a good 3-4 hours when your using it constantly, for heavy games like Asphalt your battery a bit quickly tho. For other games its pretty impressive and you can rely on it. Hope this helped :)
NVIDIA SHIELD K1 WAS RELEASED IN 2015 NOVEMBER.!!!!! the older versioon was released 2 and half years ago. I've used this to play any game for months, especially heartstone..has best audio there is for a tablet.
I do not mean to correct your video, but the original Shield came with built in stylus (and charger) the revised Shield (named K1) doesn't come with stylus or charger, but... is STILL a FANTASTIC tablet for the size and price (can be found for around £179). as for comparison's over the iPad.. can your iPad have a 128Gb memory card installed? moreover with the Android update to Marshmallow, you can integrate the additional memory cards' space into main system storage... Either way... Gonna get one myself asap... :-)
Great video and love the content! however I must say that with the new shield tablet (the shield K1) it doesn't include the stylus features nor the stylus
This would be more based on if you just play games all day long. Note 10.1 edition 2014 with the stylus is a tablet that was and still is a superior tablet for business to games with it's 3 gbs of RAM. Also, my Nexus 9 is by far the tablet that is fast and under rated
If we can hit 2,500 Likes it would make my day! 🤗
Are any of you guys Tablet users?
Mrwhosetheboss pls reply
Mrwhosetheboss good vid
Mrwhosetheboss It will, keep doing what you do :)
Hey!
Thank you Aston!!
1) That's not even the K1 you're showing in the video. That's the older shield tablet that the K1 is a refresh of. The difference is that the K1 doesn't come with a styles, nor does it have a dedicated slot for the stylus if you choose to buy one separately.

Come on man don't start getting sloppy on me.
The tablet looks solid....Awesome video bro.. being your subscriber makes me feel really proud..
have had this tablet for a couple of years now, absolutely brilliant for the money!
Man this tablet has PC master race written all over it. Don't ask me why tho.
325k already? looks like your hardwork is paying off...continue like that and I see you hitting a million soon :) fingers crossed

Peter Gram Mortensen I though I was the only one. I'm like why is it doing this to the UI and it has a k1 chip?
nash100ful nope :) in denmark we have a 6 month exchange policy guarantee by law so I've exchanged mine 3 times and after a month to 3 they all do the same. I think it's because the internal storage is shit, but haven't bothered researching it. I just gave up in the end :=
Peter Gram Mortensen It also fried my 120gb SD card. And I been stuck with a 16gb
Dan T yup I RMA'd 3 times plus the extra one for the battery exchange... I hope people know what they're getting in to.
PS. The one I have now the Sim card slot doesn't work and it has 2 bright spots on the screen yet it's the best one I've gotten yet...
I'm watching this on an Nvidia shield k1 lol
John Doe I know it's the older version
John Doe yes that's what I mean
No reason to "laugh out loud".
lol me too
Same!
Your presentations keep getting better 👍🏻
1920x1200 and both the front AND rear cameras are 5MP which is especially amazing for the front camera, since it was meant for Twitch (or whatever) live streaming.
I've had my Shield for a couple years now and still adore it. There is literally nothing available I'd dream of replacing it with.
I love the song that was in the video. made it feel warmy, very appropriate for this time of year.
merry Christmas everyone 🎁🎄🎄🎁
Damn! I just love that intro..
As usual, great video with good animations and good content

Suliman Almujaidel they just bought Nextbit Robin!
Awesome video! Mind blowing! Watched it till then end!
This is a killer tablet and I have not seen any android tablet better than this
The review was amazing and crispy
I've had my crappy tablet for a whole year and it now only holds a charge for 20 minutes if I'm lucky. Looks like I've found my new one. Thanks!
That's the older model, the newer one doesn't have an integral stylus; the newer model's display panel is still compatible, but you have to buy the stylus separately & get a case with a secure place to keep it, lest you risk misplacing it.
I always saw this around and I never knew that this was what I've been looking for for so long. thanks man!
New K1 supports it but does not come with the stylus, the one in the video is the original/old K1 but the description link is for the new K1 model. Original K1 came with s pen like stylus but it was notorious for its battery.

Have you played overwatch?
Nope! I've heard good things though!
Mrwhosetheboss yup.. You must check it out..!!
Mrwhosetheboss btw you shouldn't disturb me while watching your video.. Lol

You should get on that!
yes, tablet user here. Asus TF300, Lenovo Tab2 A10, wouldn't 2GB ram get redundant within 6 months if it isn't already too less with tabs coming out with 4GB ram already like zenpad s310 or mediapad m3

Hey man, Love the Sound on your Videos as always.
Great Quality! Would you think that the iPad Pro is the best Tablet? overall.
TechByte the iPad mini is the best tablet overall IMHO (pro is way too large) and this is coming from the owner for 2 years now of the shield tablet 32gb 4g lte
Peter Gram Mortensen Truely.
Peter Gram Mortensen iPad Pro is the best, not because of the specifications but because of iOS. Also, it is powerful.
Survey Dude have you used a 12.9 inch tablet :)?
Peter Gram Mortensen I have it :P. I was talking about the 9.7 inch one. BTW I would not buy a tablet for gaming, except a handful of games, mobile gaming is not worth it. But that's my perspective, I can play game all day so I can't see a casual gamer's perspective.
iPad is the best in the USA/UK where all Apple content is supported. I don;t like android on tablets, maybe for development purposes, I'd rather use a large phone.
bro I watched all of your video and all of them are sick bro!
I got two of the LTE model tablets for the price of one thanks to the battery recall. The recalled one simply has Tegra killswitch files deleted, and both are dualbooted with android, and ubuntu.
Love the outro and your old intro song (feel good) is one of my fav song now because of u
Loving the regular uploads, keep it up, mate :)
Thank you man!

Watching this on my Shield Tablet LTE-32GB version :3 This tablet is so good! 🙌
I have the Nvidia Shield K1, it's great for gaming, it overheats when video chatting, and it has okay battery life but to be honest it'd be better to go with the Pixel C

Your cannel is awesome, love from India :)
I've had this tablet for over a year now. While its gaming power is truly impressive, normal usage can feel sluggish and unresponsive at times.
Well Well Well, there is my favorite tablet and in the end one of my favorite song
thanks a lot I was looking for a decent tablet this looks pretty good and cheap
I have not even heard of this game, Thanks Mrwhosetheboss
thumbnail game on 🔥🔥🔥
Solid look
Solid Processor
Solid GPU
&
Solid review
Bought the tablet after the review, works great thanks
Loving your videos man
Amazing video as always!😎
O man ur editing is awesome.
Correction: only the original Shield Tablet (that you have) came with the stylis pen, the rereleased "Tablet K1" (which costs $200) doesn't have it.
I find that pressing the power button accidentally is a problem sometimes. so having a recessed power button should help with that I guess.
As always great video Arun bro! Cool Tech it is!😎

a monstrious tablet indeed. when can you giveaway that stuff?
"Mryouaretheboss" 😍 Awesome video. outdoor shots are perfect ❤
Super video as usual. Loved it.
Yea this tab is amazing I got it for Christmas last yr
Thanks for the video, this tablet is in my wishlist.

THIS DESIGN WITH TWO FRONTFACING SPEAKERS COMES ORIGINALLY FROM HTC. AT THE MOMENT ZTE HAS TAKEN IT OVER AND USED IT IN ZTE AXON 7 MINI.
that's really powerful but your review made it more powerful !😎
superb...improved quality..
Mine came in today wow its amazing great review best channel ever!
Looks like a must for my setup. Would look lovely as decoration and amazing for traveling! Thank you for showing me this. Even after two and a half years years being produced I never heard or it :|

NVIDIA SHIELD K1 WAS RELEASED IN 2015 NOVEMBER.!!!!! the older versioon was released 2 and half years ago.
I've used this to play any game for months, especially heartstone..has best audio there is for a tablet.
Your voice is epic!
This tablet slay the IPad pro!

Amazing Video Arun!
Btw it`s like 325$ in my country!
Would love to buy one. But it is not in production?
Mrwhosetheboss can you make a playlist of all of the song you listen to
I have a choice between a LG Nexus 5x and a Huawei P9 Lite. Which one should i go with ?
Great video and love the content!
however I must say that with the new shield tablet (the shield K1) it doesn't include the stylus features nor the stylus
The only thing that bugs me is the build quality. It's so easy to scratch. I'll be switching to an iPad Mini 4 soon.
I've always been a fan of nvidias tegra line!
starting & end music is nice !! are you indian ??
Nice video bro 👍
yes of course bro we can hit more than a 3000 likes ... loved that tablet powered by nvidia tegra
Great vid. Made me want to buy one, but I'm broke lol Merry Christmas
watching this on my Sony z5 tablet. I love this thing
very interesting video...i did not something wrong while watching this video ...i enjoyed watching this video...keep up the good work....thumb up
Before the video starts, I'm assuming this is the shield k1
No, he got the old version xD
Oh I was close
best tech gift for casual users. Peace✌
This would be more based on if you just play games all day long. Note 10.1 edition 2014 with the stylus is a tablet that was and still is a superior tablet for business to games with it's 3 gbs of RAM. Also, my Nexus 9 is by far the tablet that is fast and under rated
Only the old version has a Stylus the new one for 200 $ has no Stylus
+Dirk Hackenberg Good point, thank you
that is not the tablet you think you are reviewing
I still have the one with the recalled battery, both of mine fully working. lol
