I just watched a fancam video of The Warning performing HYCAD at Rock Fest in Barcelona. Lots of heat under the inclement sun. But the girls, sweating and all, delivered. The audience, also taxated by the sun, wasn't too enthusiastic at the beginning of their setlist, but by the time they played "Evolve" (their last song in the set) they were chanting "otra, otra, otra" (encore). I watched clips from other acts, and none were as energetic as TW. E.g. the poor dudes from Abbath, wearing make up and leather pants, barely moved. The lead singer even cursed the sun! 😄 Dani, Pau and Ale are just different. Unique. No matter if it's raining, hot, cold or muddy, they always delivers. Every single time. Hats off. 🙇🏻♂️
Dany does not sing, she IS the song. She expresses a song with her full body, heart and soul. She can't help it, music lives inside her and when on stage, she just lets it out.
They were born songwriters. This is the first album from them fully on the Lava/Republic label and you’ve been told that the label set up songwriting sessions with other artists, but I can’t help but feel that the sessions were not only to benefit the sisters, but for all the artists involved. They already had solid credentials writing the first three albums by themselves. This was recorded last October, 2023, so it existed in several fan cam videos, but it wasn’t released until this spring.
I fully expect to see their "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album adapted to Broadway some day. From the mind of Pau, who simply said that she was "going through an emo phase" as the time. We're dealing with genius-level stuff here.
Pau loves being flamboyant during live performances, but the smiles are over the top here, even for her. Oddly, she was under the flu, but impossible to tell by this. Dany's progression in the last year as a frontwoman and vocalist is unreal. I hate to say anyone is the best since it's not a competition, but ... 🙂 What a band! Nice analysis/breakdown.
I was so excited to see that you were going to react to this performance! I knew you'd be smiling as soon as you saw Pau. (Honestly, anyone who doesn't smile when they see Pau in that moment needs to see a doctor.) I could hardly wait for your response to Dany's vocals, conviction, authenticity, confidence, connection with the audience...well, everything! You did not disappoint. I'm truly so happy that you are getting to experience and enjoy another group that I respect and adore.
Ale's name is Alejandra. Since the letter E in Spanish is pronounced like a long A English, her shortened name would be pronounced Ah-Lay. Each one of them has written complete songs in the past, but up until this album, most songs have begun with Pau on piano. She presents the main riff and some lyrics to her sisters and among the three of them they hammer out a song. When they have arrived at a song, they create a demo of it to share with the producer before recording it. The producer, of course, will suggest changes, but TW has the final say on everything. With this newest album, Keep Me Fed, they worked with several professional songwriters to hone their own skills. Some of the songs were things Pau had created some of the material but had set aside. Other songs were fashioned in writing session with other songwriters and their producer. So whoever gets songwriting credits worked on the song with them.
!Since the letter E in spanish is pronounced like a long A!! Really???.....there's no ay in Ale. It's not Ah-lay-jandra It's, it's Ale-jandra,....just Ale.
Absolutely EPIC live performance!! This song belongs to their new Keep Me Fed album released on June 28th. Awesome album! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
You offer a lot on your channel! I really appreciate your taking the time with The Warning. I can tell you, as one of the 8000 fans in the room the night this was filmed, that they are extraordinary at reaching out and connecting with an audience from the stage. I have been attending concerts for more than 40 years (rock, jazz, opera, symphony, just about any genre), and their skill in this regard is right up with the best I have ever seen. I have also seen The Warning play for 200 as well as the 8000 this night. They have worked very hard to have the special skill. Thanks for your thoughts, if nothing other than confirmation of what we Warneros have been believing for some time now.
During the part where Dany raised her fist I felt a sense of sadness, don't really know why. This performance felt like it was something personal to her. In this album all the songs were written in short writing sessions with different people, so more collaborative experience in this album. They have said that it was a good experience that stretched them creatively.
Yeah, they usually write alone but this whole album is a diversion from that. When they've written alone they don't let anyone hear what they're doing until they're ready to master a demo, not their parents, their manager, nobody. This album is really a huge change for them and they've handled that pretty well. They have vlogs discussing how they write. The ones for writing Queen of the Murder Scene (their second album) are particularly good.
This was their coming out party last year, selling out the Pepsi Centre 8000 capacity arena in Mexico City. The one thing I admire about Dany is that she is fearless, she will often jump straight from chest voice to a high belt in head voice, with no transition whatsoever and you can't see any hesitation or doubt in her face.
Subscribed for more of The Warning! Loving your reactions - keep 'em coming! Fun fact - they were all sick, battling the flu at this concert and you'd never know it. True professionals! I just commented on your Automatic Sun reaction as well.
The girls were sick that night. Especially Pau. Yet you can’t tell. Also, this concert was in Mexico City, almost 8000 feet above sea level. Absolute Pros. The next legit super group.
Hey Dude! In their home basement studio (The Warning Cave) they have a full wall mirror like a dance studio, opposite them when they rehearse. They practice what they do onstage as well as their music. They know what they are doing. They have gotten and used very good advice along their journey and their parents have been very supportive of them along the way. They have worked very hard to get where they are, and they deserve all the attention they are now starting to get. I am in my fifties and been rocking since the 70s, and The Warning is one of the best live bands I have ever seen. I have seen them 5 times and soon a 6th, and hopefully many more times after that! I even flew to Mexico to see them live, they are THAT good!
As an acting coach, you should check their official music videos for Que Mas Quieres. Not only a great song, but they all act in it (it is a 3 min. drama)
Plus which, Pau the drummer had the original video concept and produced the script plus co-directed the video. Her first foray into directing but probably not her last.
❤️⚡🤘 it was a'right. Lol! You are in the trap. While they've become more polished than their older stuff, there isn't a single performance where you don't feel they love what they do. That passion has been there since day one. Big love from TWA!
What a good reaction, a Coach Acting will always enjoy and evaluate the behavior of the artist on stage, in this case Dany has a unique connection with the song and with the audience and Pau his smiles is a demonstration that he is enjoying it
I believe you are starting to see what us in TWA have instinctively picked up on as this band has evolved over the years. Dany is about as expressive as any front person I’ve ever seen. She usually has the crowd eating out of her hand during a show. Her only potential drawback is as the only guitarist she is somewhat tied to her mic stand and pedal board but she takes every opportunity she can to break away from her mic and really use the stage. Pau is a dynamo. She has figured out how to be a major part of the presentation while still being behind her kit. Wait till you see her unleashed on special occasions to front the band. Pau always knows where the cameras are and when they are on her. She wears her emotions on her sleeve. You can see anything from her death stare or her huge smiles or her being moved to tears from the crowd response during the course of a show. I’ve only seen TW once, to date, and I was directly in front of Ale in the front row. She is absolutely mesmerizing onstage. She has a quiet elegance about her. She actually does a great job with facial expressions while playing as well. She’ll flash a quick smile at someone in the audience or give one of her famous Ale snarls all while doing her trademark shoulder shimmy or her deep knee bends. She never really stops moving unless she’s at her mic stand doing backing vocals. Whatever “it” is, these amazing young ladies have IT in spades. Great analysis and this performance is completely representative of how they are onstage for every performance.
Check out their short video that they did for their 10 year anniversary as a band. It is a good introduction to them. The Warning X Anniversary ruclips.net/video/7wVGo42H40g/видео.html BTW, you might be interested to know that the front wall of their home studio in their basement is a mirror so they see themselves as they practice.
To get more of that its really easy, Just watch any live performance from them and you will get 110% of intensity minimum. In front of 8000 like in this video or alone in front of her phone for a midnight instagram live or event during a sound check you will see Dany going all out... They live the music and never do it half hearted. That is one of many reasons I can't get enough of thier music.
Nothing false about Dany, she is the same whether off stage or on stage. Even when she was young she sang without fear of missing notes, cracking voice, etc.👏⚡️
You held on to your cap and headphones as if they were going to be blown away when Dany let loose! I felt that! Now get this, all three of them were said to be recovering from the flu, that Pau was still ill. Not even being sick will hold them back!
Thanks for reacting!! You have to react to the songs of the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (México City) concert of 2022. You can start with “Disciple” and “Dust to dust” (Paulina leads). This whole concert it’s amazing!!
I really love your analysis of their performances. You point out a lot that isn't obvious to the viewer and elements that are completely overlooked in other reaction videos. I can't wait to see more of your The Warning reactions and especially songs where Pau is the lead.
If you get a chance to see The Warning live, do it! They are just phenomenal on stage. Nothing over the top, simply pure, unadulterated rock, and three fantastic personalities. I'll be seeing them for a second time in a couple of weeks, and hopefully for a third time next April.
They are absolutely not afraid to gesticulate on stage, they are making music, feeling and transmitting emotions, it is pure and solid rock, they leave the catwalk to others.
Be prepared to become obsessed by this phenomenal band. They overcame all their weaknesses over the past 11 years working together. This is their breakout year. Just wait and see. BTW. The song you reviewed was Automatic Sun, not Atomic.
Starting with their viral cover of "Enter Sandman", Dany has always "sang with her eyes". Pau is known to have what some have termed as her "death stare" in some performances, but Dany emotes extremely well. Sometimes perhaps a touch of crazy in her look- her eyes, a head tilt or a Sinister Smile(s) (capitalized as it is a song title by TW), but far from her offstage demeanor.
Addendum: I focused on Dany in my original comment, but Pau is always in perpetual motion behind her kit- from her flailing limbs in the earlier days to the shoulder rolls, head bobs and leans this way and that currently. Ale doesn't need leg day at the gym as she gets a workout moving about if she isn't at her mic for a backing vocal.
Thanks for a great reaction! When, as you said, will react to their early days - they performed at their school at age 10, 13 and 15, cover of HYSTERIA by Muse, there you will really see Ale in action, it is on their youtube channel: HYSTERIA-MUSE COVER-THE WARNING- LICEO. Looking forward to the next one.
Start at the start with the 2014 home video of "Enter Sandman" and move forward from there. Their evolution as musician's, songwriters and stage performers is well documented. You'll enjoy the journey!
You wouldn't know it but during this show Pau was VERY VERY ill. Being the badass queen she is not wanting to disappoint 8,000 + fans that night she killed it. Destroying her voice in the process.
Daniela is a goofball and while she is the one prone to make more mistakes live she always take them in stride and even use them to engage with the audience mak8ng it part of the show. It is as adorable as it sounds. Paul8na the moodiest of the sisters when she makes a mistake she just pretends it didnt happened and move along and if she notices that Alejandra picked on the midtake (and she always does) she just shrugs and move on. Alejandra simply does not make mistakes. Never. Even the few accidents she had are from outside circunstances. She once fell backwards onstage, had to be picked up Spinal Tap style and never once missed a beat. If Alejandra ever makes a mistaken then you know the seventh seal was broken and Armageddon is upon is.
Awesome observations!!! Ale is actually AH-leh… which for English is closer to AH-lay. Allie is not correct, but she doesn’t correct interviewers very often any more and just accepts it. Take alejandra and stop before the jandra. Alay kinda, but more like Alegh
Great Reaction, I think you should React to "Six Feet Deep" OMV Great new song and Video. Dany is now a World Class Front Woman, Pau of course a World Class Drummer. And Ali' Too! I'm surprised you didn't mention her incredible Bass Lines In This Song and Every Song Wow. The Warning The Best.🔥🔥🔥
*Hell You Call A Dream* from Blabbermouth, Dany notes, " *Hell You Call A Dream* tries to express a feeling most musicians find hard to express. When you're touring, you experience the positives, the negatives, and the whole spectrum of emotion all at once. It's about how something you love so much can be something that also weighs you down, but you continue to do it out of love. It's fulfilling, but it's tiring." in the 3point5 interview on twitch, Pau commented about their newly released album, _"Keep Me Fed"_ being the closest they've gotten to the type of music that she would listen to every day... it is their art and their form of expression (TEDx 2017)... for me, the hard, full industrial sound and lyrics of HYCAD are quite expressive of the feelings and emotions one gets at times... considering what HYCAD is talking about, think about when you are involved in a project that you are excited and living for... when being close to completing it, how hectic and chaotic things can get during its assembly... the chaos, apprehension, and anxiety you may feel when many things must absolutely come together... feelings so strong and maybe to the point of overwhelming you where you panic, get lost, feel sick, cannot eat, and need a minute, just one freaking minute, by yourself, to breathe... but you cannot due to the timeline and demands of the mantle you are wearing... a mantle of your own choosing but one that seems to be getting heavier and heavier over time... yeah... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
If you wanna listen to their older stuff you cant go wrong with the Queen of the Murder Scene concept album. It was their second album and is still a fan favorite. They debuted the album by performing a concert at the Teatro Lunario of the entire album in order in 2018 with a song from their first album between each chapter of the story.
So, when the studio version hit, I watched and went "yeah, it's pretty good, a kinda middling The Warning song". Then this live version came along, and WOW what a difference! This is now one of my favourites. I always think Pau looks like she's in "this dream you call a dream", rather than hell, though 😜 As for Dany, I never really understood the Dany Face until I saw them live - it seemed too exaggerated. But of course, it's perfectly pitched to a concert venue rather than a small screen, which sums up the whole band really. They are just finely tuned for live performances.
Hi. Great reaction. Now you would have to react to one of the songs in which Pau do the lead voice. Dust to Dust, 23, Revenant, black holes, Show me the light, Narcisista, The end, Diciple. Always live, of course. greetings from Argentina. 🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡
I think people forget The Warning has been a band for over 10 years . . Opening for names like Muse . Foo Fighter . . G n Rs . . And many of Europes festival stages . . They have honed their craft and are very comfortable on stage . . More so than do interviews . . 👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Danny doesn't do "pretty face". She does "Dany face". When she does pretty face, it heart melting time! If she does it while singing in a whisper in French...
This song was instant hitt for me. Paulina (Pau) drums and vocals, also known as: "a 5 foot stick of dynamite that is always lit" !!! Every time I see her smile my Metal heart just melts... Daniela (Dany) with powerful vocals with equally powerfull guitar riffs. Alejandra (Ale) with Thunderous Bass and backing vocals. Here is a suggestion for you : react to their own version of the Metallica's Enter Sandman (The better version)!!!!! The Warning - ENTER SANDMAN Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 ruclips.net/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/видео.html ⚡Viva la WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
Daniela and Paulina do assume a persona when onstage but it is not something that is too distant from who they are. Alejandra has no persona whatsoever, what she is onstage is who she is. She never stresses before a show, unlike her sisters.
Dany has said that one of the main things the three of them learned at The Berklee College Of Music was stage presence. Additionally, the entire front wall of their practice studio is a mirror which helps them work on their presentation. There are many videos of them performing in this practice space (The Cave). They are polished!!
Love the insights. Without knowing you’re really seeing them and I want to watch more reactions. Find some acoustic performances maybe? From their official channel-shot during the pandemic. Sinister smiles maybe. Btw, I’m convinced Ale is the sleeper of the group, yet to show her true genius. She’s laying in wait: something even greater is coming from her I think.
I really hope you get to Stalker live at lunario. Its part of the Queen of the murder scene concept album. Dany portrays a woman drifting into madness. She's in character the whole show and absolutely incredible.
@@tnae Music is their job, they studied for it, they dedicate themselves to it, they concentrate on it and receive a payment for it ... then ... they are pro ... just that
they founded the band ten yeers ago they are veterans !! For this allbum they collaborate for the lyrics but usually they write their own stuff . It start in general in Pau's brain. During this concert even nobody saw that they're fighting versus the a Flu-like cold

That’s just passion. A true love for their craft.
I got shivers from dany’s singing
They are so confident on stage. All the years of work really show in this performance.
Dany is an excellent actor check out their Music video " Qué Más Quiere".
Those fkn notes Dany hits make my toes curl . . . Amazing . .
One of the very best live bands on the planet today! The Warning are one of the rare acts that often sound better live than in the studio!
Dany "Crazy Eyes" Villarreal ‼️ Live long and be happy, ladies.
It’s pronounced “Ah-leh” not “lay”.
Dive in my friend, you will never regret the decision.
LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
Absolutely EPIC live performance!!
This song belongs to their new Keep Me Fed album released on June 28th. Awesome album!
These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Dany doesn't hide anything when he sings, he simply gives it all and transmits it to you as he lives it... if you don't get it, you're dead! 🤣
They've watched and absorbed from every band they have toured with and put it to great use
Great reaction, just loved the brake down of the performance. HYCAD is such a great song.👍👍🔥🔥⚡️⚡️
The best place to see them on stage early is the Ted Talk from 2017
They talk and play
They have improved for sure
But were fabulous then too!
Dani has the greatest rock and roll facial expressions in music today( I think Joe Walsh is second).
Check out their short video that they did for their 10 year anniversary as a band. It is a good introduction to them.
The Warning X Anniversary

BTW, you might be interested to know that the front wall of their home studio in their basement is a mirror so they see themselves as they practice.
Dude, you gotta see DISCIPLE Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022. More vocals from Paulina and just a kickass song!
Yeah... "it was alright!" 😇
Totally enjoyed your analysis. Spot on.
Yay! It's great to see you doing more Warning!
Really appreciate your perspective and insight on The Warning- definitely bring value to the conversation!
If you get a chance to see The Warning live, do it! They are just phenomenal on stage. Nothing over the top, simply pure, unadulterated rock, and three fantastic personalities. I'll be seeing them for a second time in a couple of weeks, and hopefully for a third time next April.
Seeing them headlining in Baltimore in September, cannot wait❤
They are so young, and as they mature their music will grow
Best power trio in the world right now!🔥⚡🤘
They are absolutely not afraid to gesticulate on stage, they are making music, feeling and transmitting emotions, it is pure and solid rock, they leave the catwalk to others.
The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Be prepared to become obsessed by this phenomenal band. They overcame all their weaknesses over the past 11 years working together. This is their breakout year. Just wait and see.
BTW. The song you reviewed was Automatic Sun, not Atomic.
They are all naturals on the stage and they each have their own personality.
Yes good analysis these girls have not got 1 bad song, every song is amazing.
Can I get a link to their cover of enter the sandman in my instagram dm’s?
@@tnae Done
Thanks for a great reaction! When, as you said, will react to their early days - they performed at their school at age 10, 13 and 15, cover of HYSTERIA by Muse, there you will really see Ale in action, it is on their youtube channel: HYSTERIA-MUSE COVER-THE WARNING- LICEO. Looking forward to the next one.
🔥⚡🤘The Lunario show is a must watch, where Dany get into the character of their concept album Queen Of The Murder Scene .🤘⚡🔥
The Warning, The Best
*Hell You Call A Dream*
from Blabbermouth, Dany notes, " *Hell You Call A Dream* tries to express a feeling most musicians find hard to express. When you're touring, you experience the positives, the negatives, and the whole spectrum of emotion all at once. It's about how something you love so much can be something that also weighs you down, but you continue to do it out of love. It's fulfilling, but it's tiring."
in the 3point5 interview on twitch, Pau commented about their newly released album, _"Keep Me Fed"_ being the closest they've gotten to the type of music that she would listen to every day... it is their art and their form of expression (TEDx 2017)...
for me, the hard, full industrial sound and lyrics of HYCAD are quite expressive of the feelings and emotions one gets at times... considering what HYCAD is talking about, think about when you are involved in a project that you are excited and living for... when being close to completing it, how hectic and chaotic things can get during its assembly... the chaos, apprehension, and anxiety you may feel when many things must absolutely come together... feelings so strong and maybe to the point of overwhelming you where you panic, get lost, feel sick, cannot eat, and need a minute, just one freaking minute, by yourself, to breathe... but you cannot due to the timeline and demands of the mantle you are wearing... a mantle of your own choosing but one that seems to be getting heavier and heavier over time... yeah...
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
If you wanna listen to their older stuff you cant go wrong with the Queen of the Murder Scene concept album. It was their second album and is still a fan favorite. They debuted the album by performing a concert at the Teatro Lunario of the entire album in order in 2018 with a song from their first album between each chapter of the story.
yeah man,,, and this is why HYCAD is STILL my favorite!
I enjoy your reactions, looking forward to more popping up in the feed!
🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡
Yes, keep breaking things down. 🙂
I think people forget The Warning has been a band for over 10 years . .
Opening for names like Muse . Foo Fighter . . G n Rs . . And many of Europes festival stages . .
They have honed their craft and are very comfortable on stage . . More so than do interviews . .
👋🇳🇿🍻twa
I remembered.
Oh yes 👍 . . Many forget . @@tnae
totatly agree on everything you said
Danny doesn't do "pretty face".
The Warning - ENTER SANDMAN Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 ruclips.net/video/vg9vNE7gm0I/видео.html
⚡Viva la WARNING⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
Perfect rock song!!
Ale, less outgoing? Yes, she is an introvert, her sisters are extroverts. The blend seems to work spectacularly.
I really hope you get to Stalker live at lunario. Its part of the Queen of the murder scene concept album.
Dany portrays a woman drifting into madness.
She's in character the whole show and absolutely incredible.
Please send me a link for that
If it’s not too much trouble, send it to me in a DM on Instagram. Sometimes replies and comments get lost on RUclips.
Go see them Live!!!!!!!
Great reaction.
Thank you, for sharing!
DPA 4EV'R!
“Like a pro”
“Like a pro”
Yisus.. they are pro!!
They are babies. Maybe I should’ve said, “like a seasoned veteran.”
The Warning genre is real🤘
