Just received my Steif bears today. It was well wrapped and shipped even in the snowy weather..I watch your channel and what not sales. You are getting better and are entertaining..Thank you again.
The figurines regarding days of the week are structured after a nursery rhyme that correlates the day you were born with a trait: (notice the Saturday figurine was “working”) Monday's child is fair of face Tuesday's child is full of grace Wednesday's child is full of woe Thursday's child has far to go Friday's child is loving and giving Saturday's child works for its living And a child that's born on the Sabbath day Is fair and wise and good and gay
Look up "Monday's Child" poem/nursery rhyme on Wikipedia. As one of your other commenters said, "Wednesday's child is full of woe", which is probably why it is not as popular. I did notice you did not have a Tuesday's child figurine in the auction- wondering if it got separated from the rest....? Enjoyed the auction. I "won" three items 😊
Joolie/geek alert! 08:45 I said garnet too. 12:11 Teardrop, pear cut, or pendeloque if you're British. 12:40 Wouldn't be surprised if it's a lab-created sapphire. They started making them for watches in the 1880s and put them into standard use for Art Deco jewelry. A big flawless Ceylon blue rock would surprise me by being natural. 15:46 9K gold is usually British; it's a legal gold standard there. The paperweight sale: Oh @crazylamplady! Not surprised lot 1877 went for $750. 14k and blue zircon, circa 1910, with big blue rocks. It could have gone higher.
It’s definitely a Tear Drop ring. Your correct Lucas.
I really loved the first 2 paper weight and the one with a fish in it
Love all your jewelry ❤California
