Focus gang, yeah! I bought my first car a month ago: it's neither new, nor an RS (or even ST) with loads of horses under the hood, it's only a 2002 Ford Focus Limousine with a 1.6 petrol engine. But it's mine I love it :D

Congrats on the car! As a Michigander, I know how important that AWD is. I have a Dark Grey 2014 Dodge Charger SXT AWD and is fantastic in the snow for such a low car, probably like the Focus. I will say, not a Ford guy, but something about this particular color combo, exhaust, and more are just cool. My neighbor used to have one similar to this, but he sold it for a red 2021 Dodge Charger 392 close to my neighbor’s 2021 Red Hellcat Widebody. Anyways getting off track, congrats on the car again, it looks pretty clean!
never in my life did I think I would buy a Ford. I'm a Japanese and german fan through and through but as soon as I test drove the RS I had to have it

The 87 VW Golf I drove I loved but after 20+ Years and almost 500,000 KM the transmission went and the body was also rusting away. Drove a Ford Escort for about 9 months and nothing but problems ( So now I do not like Fords :) ). Had a second hand Toyota Corolla but it had issues from the beginning, the dealer I bought it from lied about it. Now I drive a 2016 Hyundai Accent, bought it new and I am enjoying it. I don't know much about cars but slowly learning. I would love to get another VW Golf, but like you said parts are expensive.
Only thing in common with bugs here is the fun you both get to share with owning one of those cars. The rs is awesome. Congratulations!!!
Great choice!! Can't go wrong with Ford and most Ford owners like to work on their own vehicles. I have an AWD Taurus & it's one of my favorite rides!

Its definitely still within my means. It was either this or financing like a CRV or something and suvs bore the shit out of me. I think I made the right choice.

@@Robbert_nl Well, apart from what I assumed, I don't know either. As I was looking for my first car, I was rather looking for something cheap so I can pay it off at once instead of financing something better🤷🏼♂️

@@petertoth3477 Over here it’s very uncommon to use financing when you buy a new car. Let alone a used car. But hey, it’s fine. Different culture, I get it. No judgement. I was just wondering why financing is thumbs up worthy.
Figured it'd be the Focus RS, still think the Golf R is superior with a slight tune and some bolt ons... but you can't really go wrong with the RS. good choice.
Golf r is pretty good and I seriously considered it, but German parts are way to expensive and the golf r's are depreciating crazy fast. I drove both this and the golf r, and this thing is way faster and more fun to drive.
The Renault Clio, I had one too, late 2002 model 1.1i Petrol, the only car where I’ve seen a whole bunch of wires hanging out the rubber door sill and the one of two cars I’ve had chronic electrical issues with, one being you hit the window switch up or down the headlights would go dim and flicker 😂😂😂

I think you've got a winner right there Ryan. Yeah I'm into cars too man I can't wait to see you this new channel of yours with you and bugs looking forward to it. I fully support you and bugs and Jeff and the rest of the guys I think that you guys are doing an awesome job with both of your channels and I'll probably subscribe to that PLS channel that you were talking about and I'm looking forward to it
With a similar criteria I ended up with a BMW M140i X-drive practical fun VERY fast and cool sounding the only new hatchback with a 6-cylinder depreciation has basically stopped on them thanks to bmw ruining the 1 series with the new one. The only downside is when it breaks which it hasn’t yet it probably won’t be cheap.
Also an added bonus is to most people it’s just a normal 1 series because it doesn’t look that different from a base engine car until it roars away
Nice, those are little rippers! Its sad, they are one of my favourite car makers ever, and it sucks realizing I likely will never own one. Dream car is a E92 M3, but my god, your wallet will cry.
@@CivRyan there are a few E92’s in my area and I love hearing and seeing them same with the E60 M5 that I see round here both with a lower value than my 1 series and both much faster louder and better looking but not only do they probably cost their value quarterly in parts their fuel consumption is likely to be the same story. Very sad to think about, also looking at the new ones you’re paying extortionate prices. Upwards of £70k for an M3!!

Grats man. I'd be interested on your thoughts a year or so in. I have an ST, and while i enjoy the car over-all. My nitpick list is pretty high. NItpicks are just that, not major, but i'm on year 6 and i'm not sure if i'd buy another .. I mean the fun factor is still through the roof. Plus, of all the custom exhaust's i've heard, i love my MBRP above all... it's a thing of beauty. Can't wait to see what all you do with it!

I'm more efficiency and parts and services over fun and AWD Daily Driver.
You are in Canada and I'm in Southern Illinois, USA.
I drove a 93 Mercury Sable first.
However, my first owned car was an 89 Ford Taurus Station wagon.
The second was a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix.
My third was a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante.
My fourth and current driver is a 2004 Buick LeSabre Custom Edition.
Not as much into cars as you but I know my general way around them.

Honestly, it makes more sense to get a car that is owned by someone who you know. Its chance to get good insight to the pros and cons of that car. Plus there's a redundancy factor if you're having an issue, he might have already gone through it and can give more advice.
