I must say.....I am an avid hunter of wild hogs in the US, but I have rarely seen a video as beautiful and personable as yours!!!!! In one sitting, it captures the beauty and personal discipline of the entire hunting experience!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!! More, please!!!!!!!!
This is why I love your channel. I have never hunted, but when I see people like you treat nature and the animals you kill with respect and dignity, it lifts my spirits.
it's not so common in the uk you know... it's like literally not even worth getting a license unless you're very wealthy.... to add insult to injury, we're not even allowed to use a bow
Yes, "conservation" means "the wise use of" whatever resource it is. Anti hunters paint us as blood-thirsty, kill-crazy slobs with a beer can in one hand and a shotgun in the other. If they would open their eyes and see the truth, they would see that we are quite the opposite. But then, they would have to admit that they were wrong.
@@Eurofilme Even if you're a vegan, you kill plants that grow for their own sake, not yours. DNA is cannabalistic, at least as far as animal life is concerned.
I love the quality of your hunting videos and the respect you show in them. I recommend them to people who don't like hunting because you capture everything I can say to them and more. Thank you for another great one!
Great hunt. Great hunt presentation. It truly is memorable to hunt with vintage rifles. I love the 45/70. Pushing a 405gr cast bullet at around 1250fps is a one shot, dead right there, combination for our feral pigs.
I’m so jealous of that experience. I wish I had the skill and time. Love the channel. I’ve never even held a working gun but appreciate the love of nature and county-side. 👍🏻
That is a great rifle and a great shot, Balazs. It looks like you got him right behind the ear. My wife and I enjoyed meeting and talking with you in your shop earlier this summer. We wish you and your family the best in all you do. And please tell Ibolya, next door, that I said Hello. Thanks.
A beautiful movie. A beautiful hunt. Recently, I am learning to become a hunter in Poland. I hope that one day I will be able to visit you in Hungary (if you want) and hunt with you aswell. Best wishes.
That's always part of the show. There are very few occasions when I do shoot in imperfect conditions. Fortunately I did not wound the game, but it was clearly a mistake to take the shot.
An that's why I like hunting with BP rifles w/ big lead slugs, almost instant 1 shot kills, an the love of shooting BP guns, my favorite way to hunt, but using a classic rifle like you did, is a very close second, loved the vid, brought me back to my youth, when I was in Germany as a JAEGER.

You and I are of the same cut of cloth. I love to hunt with the rifles that are over 150 years old. I also like using older double barreled external hammered shotguns, some of which are about the same age. A lot of the time I use my favorite Winchester Model 1873 in 38/40 caliber, it is a fine old weapon and is very capable. My favorite shotgun for using in the field is an old 16 gauge double barrel made by L.C. Smith.
Nice video. I'm leaving in Germany and I do Hunt on many places in Europe with a Kentucky Woodsman Riffle. That's a passion who not every understand or can. Respect for this Work.

Excelent.shooting excellent presentation. I like all of your videos! Your are a true hunter. It is best to get a direct hit or miss complity. This is a true hunter. God bless!I like to hunt with old vintage guns. David Back from Menifee county Kentucky USA.
Hello Balasz, greetings from Florida. Your video caught my eye because of the Sauer. My Father had a very nice 16 gauge side by side shotgun, and he also happened to be Hungarian, from Budapest. I recognized Esztergom, too, from when I was there a few years ago. Thanks for the video.
What a beautiful video. Great job on the production and the hunt. The shot was perfect, the boar never knew what even happened. Please keep up with treating us with these rare rifle hunts. All the best from your Western Neighbors :)
I love the tradition that you guys have with the "last meal" offering if food in the mouth and on the kill shot. It shows great respect for the animal and the life you've taken. It's something I think I might do in the future.
Balázs, what a true connection and understanding of nature you have, in the spirit of the true old hunters. Here in Canada, most game worth hunting is big (White Tail Deer, Moose, Brown, Grizzly and Black Bear), and there is slowly a growing interest again in black powder, traditional hunting. I myself am hoping, next year, to go hunting for deer (sadly, we have no wild boar this far North) with my 1849 Fruwirth Kammerbusche that you helped me identify a while back. I have found a great load that gives me 2 inch accuracy at 100 meters and made proper bullets, with my load of Goex 60g FFG and a greased original .712 inch diameter 1849 pattern compression bullet from a custom mold. Very happy, and since the season opens early here in Canada for "traditional antique" hunting, I hope to get something delicious. All my family enjoys wild meat, and so it will be well enjoyed. Thank you for inspiring me to pursue this and once again, an excellent video!
it is indeed. And also works very well. It is manufactured by a small Hungarian company and it is exact copy of an original 19th century powder measure.
@@fabi_hunting yes we do, but only on special order as they are very expensive to keep. The are produced on order in very little quantity. Quality is just excellent, and it is a very accurate repro. Please send an email to me and I'll send you details.
I have a Sauer & Sohn William Tell in 8.15 x 46R with a German mount 1.5 x scope. Not quite vintage, but interwar years and very much in the Kipplauf tradition. Unfortunately, here in Arizona most of the deer hunting is at very long range ridge to ridge (300 to 500 yards is common). After watching your video I'm going to have to set up a whitetail hunt somewhere with heavy cover! Thanks for taking us along!
the Tell is also a beautiful rifle! do you hunt them in full daylight? if yes, that sounds like a nice challenge for a percussion match rifle equipped with a long range diopter.
@@capandball Yes we have to shoot in daylight hours. It would be quite the challenge for a percussion rifle given the need for very accurate range finding with that level of bullet drop. The whitetail here are a sub-species called Coues deer. They are very small with large bucks only weighing 130 pounds or so.
As I watch this, I am 48 hours away from starting my Mule Deer hunt, Open rolling sage hills, quite a challenge.I know my Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken Rifle in .54 Caliber is up to the task. We will see if my hunting skills can get me within my self imposed 100 Yard (91 meter) Range.
@@georgesakellaropoulos8162 Well, but not successful, I saw many deer and some nice bucks but weather confounded my hunt, a high gusty wind followed me until the last day when Snow and fog set in, like horses the open range deer don't like the wind and were on high alert. The Snow would have been great sooner but on the last day it was really dumping and by 10 am I was thinking more and more about being able to get out & less and less about finding deer. Still great fun to pit my wits against their fantastic eye sight and hearing.
Nice shooting! The area looks a lot like the hills around here in Pennsylvania! Hope I can get my stalking rifle out for a walk next season. Thanks for the great videos!
Subscribed after discovering this video. I see you give the animal the respectful Last Bite offering as well as taking it's life because you intend to consume it. If this was once a military calibre I assume it was a time long before full metal jacket rounds were introduced. Seeing the missed shot blow a hole into the mud shows it's power. The boar is a creature with tremendous vitality & the lead projectile dumping it's energy so quickly seems like a perfect solution.
Very cool about your ethics Sir. So many people do not recognize our imperative as hunters to always wait. Your shot will come. Maybe not today but if the animal is to be yours it will be so.
