    I used ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4ynqaujg7rZKFapA8s29kTpRszJGa3-K this for the first time today to replace the front wheel bearing on my rwd 98 dodge dakota. This had absolutely no issue removing or reinstalling the lug nuts and it took off the axle nut without any struggle. Sounds like it's got some muscle to it. Time will tell

    • @juanc5149
      @juanc5149 4 года назад +1

      I believe their brands have their strengths and weaknesses.
      Top of the line Hammer Drill, DeWalt.
      Circular Saws Dewalt
      Recip Saws, about same.
      Tool Selections Milwaukee for automotive, about same for general contractors.
      12v tool line up Milwaukee
      Impact drivers Milwaukee
      Half inch high torque impact wrench more or less the same. If Milwaukee does have an advantage it’s not noticeable at all in the real world. Both guns are beasts.
      1 inch impacts Milwaukee as Dewalt doesn’t have an answer for this.
      The mid torque, and smaller impacts, Milwaukee is more powerful, but Dewalt’s are smaller and more ergonomic, so about the same.
      Ergonomics, Dewalt, especially on the 12v line ups. I find the ergonomics on the Milwaukee 12v tools to be a lot like handling a small coke can.
      Price point Dewalt
      Warranty Milwaukee.

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  4 года назад +1

      I don't think you have anything to worry about. Those DeWalt tools will serve you well. Power on most of these new tools (Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt, etc.) are more than needed for most of the jobs they're created for. Milwaukee and Ryobi do a great job at innovating and releasing new tools, constantly. DeWalt (Stanley Black & Decker) is the largest tool company on the planet, and they move like molasses (very slow). DeWalt makes great tools, but they tend to let each model become really old before innovating and updating again. Makita is a Japanese company, so every move is thought out ahead of time. They make tools for specific tasks/jobs, and they're not out to be the "Most Powerful" or whatever the latest tag line is.

    I have this. I’m very disappointed in it. I’ve only used it a few times, it doesn’t even have a scratch on it yet, and now it’s lacking power, all 4 modes feel no different, and it won’t remove nuts it put on last time I used it.
    Nothing has changed, still use the 12 aH batteries I bought with it and made sure to charge them both thinking the lack of power came from the batteries even though the charge meters on them showed full.
    I’m betting they’re going to have a shit control board Milwaukee is going to deny is defective until enough of their victims *ahem* “customers” make it clear they’re breaking out the torches and pitchforks.
    Kinda like that cheapass design mod they pulled on the 1/2 “updated” model recently where they shot themselves in the ass and finally were forced by internet reviews to recall the whole inventory and revert back to the old design.

      @Shoptoolreviews  3 года назад

      Absolutely, you are correct. We'll be dropping a full review of this in the next few days. This should handle 90+% of the work, and the air can take care of the rest. Where it's really handy is for that Mobile mechanic that doesn't have to pull an air hose, crank the compressor, etc. Thanks for watching.

    • @dchawk81
      @dchawk81 3 года назад

      I'm not sure it would do any good on some suspension bolts either. Especially on ones that haven't been touched in 30 years.
      That's what I ran into recently and needed to just sit there and let the air tank drain and refill a couple times with the trigger down. The air barely kicks back so you can basically prop it up on one knee and use a single hand while sipping your coffee. Lol. I'm refurbishing an old truck though so it's possible I'm in a rather unique situation.
      I think this gun is great for road service guys and anyone working fasteners that don't go a long time between removal. In a shop environment you might as well run air. They have pneumatic guns kicking over 2k now and they don't overheat.

    • @unvmyram2500
      @unvmyram2500 3 года назад

      As a mobile guy these make alot of sense especially in the winter. When the air lines and guns freeze it can cause a lot of issues. The video i saw of this not taking lugs off where all rusty old lugs. A torch or a torque multiple would be useful in those situations of u don't have an air gun on the truck. Only issues really is the price. If u have a shop and air your better off not spending the extra money on this tool. I have the other 1 inch and it takes most lugs off as well

    What is it with you americans and thinking that you need 999999ft-lb to undo the wheel nuts of a standard truck? You can get 1/2" guns that do it, and 3/4" guns are practically a sure thing. How about using something with 2000ft-lb of nut busting torque on a nut that's actually difficult to undo? Next you're going to tell me that this gun is great at undoing wheel nuts on a bicycle.
    Also, not much of a review if you don't even show it doing something as trivial as a truck's wheel nuts. Really disappointing.
